has a glass chin and lennox lewis was behind on the scorecards but he did a serious paint job on klitschko's face lewis won hands down then he got beaten by chris byrd years ago klitschko is completely overrated
JUDO BLOWS 10/14/2005
HE RULES. BEATED THE CRAP OUT OF LEWIS.
Thespiralgoeso n 10/07/2005
All you morons who say he "has no heart" because he "quit" against Byrd have no clue what the hell you're talking about. He had a torn rotator cuff and fought through it as long as he could. If he hadn't stopped, that could've ended his career. What was he supposed to do? By far and away the best heavyweight out there. If Vitali Klitschko didn't exist, Lennox Lewis would still be boxing and that's a fact! Best heavyweight out there, and by the end of his career will probably be seen as one of the greats of this era, right next to Lennox.
lahell84 08/31/2005
Has all the physical skills: power, size, handspeed but seems to lack killer instinct... I'll never forget when he quit against Chris Byrd before the 10th round therby forfeiting his belt citing a shoulder injury even though he had the fight in the bag. Byrd looked like a lightweight in the ring compared to VK. But he refused to fight as his corner pleaded with him...redeemed himself somewhat against lewis which ended in an unfortunate stopage...lacks desire to be great

This fool is weak...He just possesses the physical attributes...but no skill..He's lucky the Heavyweight division is so weak...Got his shine from a close fight against an old Lennox Lewis that he lost anyway...The guy is seriously far from great...
WEISZEIL BUM 06/16/2005
the guy rocks. suck on that lewis.
RealMcNeal Operator. 03/16/2005
Never has he hit the mat in all of his boxing carreer. Knockout power and amazing accuracy! Great defense. Exeptional stamina for someone his size. Best all-around Heavyweight in the world at this in time. The last statement is my opinion. I think the facts speak for themselves.
Randyman 03/12/2005
The jury is still out on this guy. I think he is good, but we'll see where he's at in a year.
TheEvilSaintEv an 12/27/2004
he has heart, power, technique, a solid chin, and is starting to develop a mean streak. his stamina is indeed questionable, it comes and goes as the match progresses. and he has the satisfaction of knowing that he sent the joke lennox lewis into retirement. he would have won had not lewis headbutted him and made vitali bleed so much. and lewis knew vitali had his number so lewis retired rather than give vitali a rematch. wut a friggin coward. hes a ukranian monster. hes 6'7 and 250+ lbs. no heavyweight in the division today, especially lennox lewis, can stand up to DR. vitali klitschko.
deepwest1 12/27/2004
he's the best keep it up
ytyetyer 09/15/2004
His the greatest right now. Good incarnation of Ivan Drago.
junkmail 09/13/2004
Hes the best know. suck on that Lewis
Nutcase 09/03/2004
Best heavyweight around suckers .Lewis runs from him. Klitschko's the man.
theauthor 08/24/2004
Overrated big dude who is lucky that the heavyweight division is garbage right now. James Toney has a chance to knock this bum out, but he may be too short. Vitali is yet to be exposed by a real champion.
ET1980 08/04/2004
Overrated as was his brother Glass Joe Klitschko before Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster knocked him out. The fact that the heavyweight division is so weak makes him look better than what he is, not to mention his race. If Lennox had been in shape for their fight, he would have destroyed him in no more than 4 rounds(see Tommy Morrison, Andrew Golota, and Frans Botha fights OUCH!!!).
viksfan_csuf 07/24/2004
Real-life incarnation of Ivan Drago. He is a very impressive boxer in this era. Ofcourse he doesn't even measure up to the greats of eras past but he is a good fighter. What is with all of you ignoramuses who think that he has no heart because he quit against Chris Byrd. It was a serious ,and potential, career threatening injury. He was smart to do so. What good is heart if you only have the use of one arm because you wanted to maintain your honor.
ortizd 07/14/2004
this guy is awesome
Aneudy25 06/25/2004
No good, he and his brother are 2 big giants with no chin and no heart! Go back to Germany guys and keep knocking out them cab drivers!
boxingboy18966 06/25/2004
Very good boxer. Probably the best current heavy weight there is. Showed us he has very good skill with his fight against Lennox Lewins
ak1sequemce 05/25/2004
Robotic, showed us what he is made off vs lewis.
roblinb 11/09/2003
Big and strong, Vitali definitely is that, but he had Lennox Lewis out of shape and not on his game, and couldn't seal the deal. Lennox won't risk his title against Klitschko again, either, so it really doesn't matter. Vitali is a top-5 heavyweight but that doesn't really say much considering some of the other fat boys that dominate the division. I mean a guy like Joe Mesi, who many consider a top-10 guy, wouldn't be able to compete with the heavyweights in the Ali/Frazier era. Klitschko has a few things going for him, but really he's just a limited big guy who gets by on a good punch and a very awkward style. If Chris Byrd was a big puncher, he would have killed Vitali.
mozart 09/13/2003
Chaotician23 is right ! I think prime vs prime Lewis is slightley better than Vitali but today Vitali Klitschko should be the heavyweight champion of the wordl ! That fight was stopped too soon ! It was a shame ! Vitali deserves the chance to become a great champion !
Bryght 07/16/2003
Vitali was embarassing world chump Lennox Lewis on June 21st before the WBC had the ring doctor stop the fight. What a fix! In December, Vitali will be heavyweight champion and Lewis will retire. I can't wait.
$$TOMMY$$ 07/10/2003
Dr.Ironfists himself an exellent boxer nearly ko'ed Lweis in the first round ashame what the result was though.
Latunskij 06/28/2003
Well, he's damn big and brawny, he has a good right hand, a solid chin(unlike his brother) and an awkward, herky-jerky style that puts more fluid fighters out of their rhythms. I thought he looked good against Big L but he didn't seem to be as hard-hitting as I thought. Hope those cuts heal up nicely and don't end his career.
Chaotician23 06/25/2003
Easily the best heavyweight today. He was destroying Lennox Lewis. He has a lot of heart. He is the best.
tricky 06/13/2003
It's hard for me to say how good of a boxer V.K. really is, but we will definitely know after his bout with Lennox Lewis on June 21. I watched a clip of him sparring with some huge guy and Klitschko looked sharp, let's just hope he can do that at the Staples center... What I'd really like to see is a Klitschko vs. Tyson fight. I'd bet a ton of money that Klitschko would humiliate him within two rounds.
EDDIETHEGREAT 02/25/2003
He definately needs to step up against some major contenders such as Tua or Tyson to prove himself, but he will definately hold one of the major belts although his defence is no where as good as his brothers Wladimir's.
