Drew Brees is a solid QB. I think the Saints have a lot of potential and Brees is easily in the top 5 QBs. Brees just threw for 6 touchdowns against the Detroit Lions but that's kind of the equivalent to Al Bundy's 4 touchdown game for Polk High.

He is a good quarterback. Oh, wait look what a four star means. A deep playoff run two years in a row gets him a five.

Brees is underrated. He had one bad year, the year before that he started his first time and had more TD's than INT's. He had a great 2004 season facing average teams and had to play with the 2nd hardest schedules and great defenses. In his 2005 season, he obviously didn't do as well as he did the year before that, but he got it done (despite passing 15 ints, he still threw 24 tds and a 89 QB rating). If he didn't have that dislocated shoulder in last years game (good job marty for letting him play the last game dumbass), he'd be replacing someone in the pro bowl. I'm now kinda skeptical what will happen to him and see if he can fully recover from the injury and the contract problems

I think Drew Brees is a decent quarterback, but last season seems more like a fluke than the real deal. He has been consistantly terrible in the past, and that's not something you can entirely ignore because of one good season. The Chargers have rather quietly built a well above average offense line while rather unquietly developing two of the best players at their position in Tomlinson and Antonio Gates. Those are great weapons to utilize for any quarterback. UPDATE: Like I said, 2004 was a fluke. In 2005 he threw more than twice as many interceptions [15 compared to 7]. Still, generally speaking, he had a decent year, though obviously not a ProBowl caliber one. I would rate him a 4 at least, except I think the Chargers honestly have some of the best offensive weapons in the game. They might not have a true #1 reciever, but they have one of the best recieving backs, one of the best recieving tight ends, and 3 guys that would make for solid #2 recievers on almost any team. Most quarterbacks could put up at least those kind of numbers with that. He's about a 3.5 in my books, slightly above average. If he manages to shake off his recent injury and perform at least comparably to the last couple seasons (a task that's both reasonable yet sizeable), I'll rate him a 4.

Breesie has improved dramatically since the Chargers signed on Phil Rivers to replace him. Although not as good as Peyton Manning, he is still a good QB and I'm glad to have him on my team. GO CHARGERS!

I'll begin by saying that Chargerfan needs to lay off the caps and whatever inspired their use. Anywho, Brees has a mighty challenge, proving that last year wasn't a fluke. I think adjustments will be made and Drew is in for a bit of a letdown, but he should still play well. Especially against the Raiders, who have no D.

Just finished a very efficient year in his third year as the main starter for the Chargers. 27 TD, 7 INT, 3159 yards, and a very good completion percentage of 65.5%. We've yet to see if this was a sign of the future for him, or just an aberration.
