Staff can freeze your account for saying hello on the boards, games are nice and colourful, great community, but since Viacom took over, advertisements have invaded neopets, and the neocash mall which you have to pay real money its annyoing!

even though you can get frozen for posting just about anything on the boards, it's still an awesome site.

I never actually played in this game site, but, I have two step children who, for the longest time, were very addicted to it. I can remember them fighting constantly over who had use of the computer, how long they were allowed to stay on, etc. I was so frustrated at one point, I was literally ready to toss the computer out the window. It was a constant hassle.

Argh well lets see. I have mixed feelings on this site. Let's start with the bad. It's addicting. I've been playing since oh.. two and a half years ago, got frozen 4 times and tried to quit about twice. I always came back. In fact, it's a minimized window right here as I type. Now whether that's a good or bad thing is a personal opinion i guess. I see it as a bad thing. Second, the staff. Holy crap the staff is a bunch of incompetent fools. They suspend people for absolutely no reason and recently froze many people for no known reason. And yes you may think "Oh that was only one time it was probably an accident", yeah no. It's happened many times. Once to me actually. So yeah, the staff pretty much never graduated high school. Thirdly, this site is aimed at children right? No problem right? Not exactly. The older players on the site are usually the ones who understand internet etiquette and are actually good at the game. The younger kids GENERALLY are the ones who go like "kin ay plz haf a pb plzplzplz ill luv u foreber". Now that's not to say everyone, i just think this site would be a lot better off if it changed it's look and appealed to an older audience. There are probably more problems, in fact i'm sure of it but i'm too lazy to think or write them down. On the positive side, It's a nice place to talk with friends. Now i know what your thinking, internet friends are idiotic, dangerous, and dorky. as for idiotic, dont' know where that comes from and if you find good friends, generally the people on neopets aren't dangerous. I haven't seen anything really dangerous past "I am the ghost of rebecca and if you don't send me a bajillion nps then i will kill u at midnight". And as for dorky, sure you may think that but you probably have one or two internet friends of your own ;) Basically in general I think it's a good social site, and if you use it only that way it could be an entertaining site for you.

I used to play on Neopets when it first started by Adam and Donna. Since then this site has been sold for BILLIONs of dollars time and time again. No one can control it. Every time I would go on there someone would try to hack me or send me a virus or try and get my password. What a mess a start to the virtual pet site age has become. I wouldn't reccomend it for kids. Try powerpets or nutrinopets if you are looking for a site for your kids. They at least are well maintained for kids.

I'll admit that it's a wonderfully addicting site,but it's plagued with problems. The staff is apparently incompetent.I've been suspended twice now;I'm on my last try. I was suspended for discussing the origins of Halloween.HALLOWEEN,a day that's been mutated into a flippin' commercial holiday by the candy companies. The neoboards are a disaster,especially the Fan Clubs and Roleplaying boards.The FC is full of 'is ur naem HOT or NOT??/','greenday ist he bset band EEVR!!1',and 'plz giev mee a pb' boards.The RolePlaying boards are sometimes full of enjoyable RPs,but I thought only NEOPETS related RPs were allowed.Not so.Infact,for quite a while(and might be even now),Neopets RP were considered OFF-TOPIC. If you can see past all the slowdowns,glitches,unfairness,and idiots that run amok on Neopets,maybe you'll find a great site that's dangerously addicting. kthxbi.

This is an.. well intresting site. It has a bit for everyone. Battling if your that type, chatting, role-playing, decorating houses and stuff. Even some semi-good plotline. What are really good are their flash games. Really fun. The only thing is this site can get rather boring after awhile, theres a lot of cheesy things on it.

I am obsessed with this site. It has hours, days, months, YEARS of playability. I've been on for over three years! =D

It's good for a while, but then it starts to get boring. The publicity wasn't a very good idea either. The staff is too strict, though. They freeze you either for no reason, or for the most ridiculous reasons. My friend got frozen for asking for neopoints to make someone a userlookup. I mean, come on! And it's not like she was asking for real money. The staff really needs to lighten up. And they need to update the Editorial in the Neopian Times more often. I would still be playing if it wasn't for them.

A cute idea that was ruined by the immoral and careless actions of its corrupt staff. In creators Adam Powell and Donna Williams' defense, they never intended to hire crooked monitors and befriend scammers (the term members used for those who try to trick others into giving up points or even entire accounts, such as davran who rated below), but they were so distrustful of their own members that that's what happened. Their careless actions resulted in thousands of accounts being frozen needlessly, with members having no choice but to respond by e-mailing an overburdened and unhelpful support team. I no longer play, but I hear that the problem has not gotten better. On the upside, if your account can survive one year of playing this game, you will more than likely never fall for a real-life scam for the rest of your life.

They have no customer support. They freeze whoever - whenever they want and don't give reasons. They never reply to e-mail. Drop in and check out the message boards - any time of day you can find inapropriate stuff all over it. Where are the Mods? It used to be a good site but now it just sucks.

TNT monitors freeze entire familys and their guilds with out recoarse..issue warnings for asking questions about them..its NOT in the terms and conditions, so they call it SPAM...figure that out..

I hate it. It's a waist of time. I remember when I got out of school and say alright!! I cant wait to get home and go on Neopets to raise my Kiko. It took days out of my life where I could be doing something to help people than looking at pictures some board college student made.

Neopets is a great site for all ages! It is a family friendly environment. It is a little addictive but all in all great fun. It is it's own magical world. Anyone who talks bad about it just doesn't understand it. Games are fun, guilds are great, shops are neat, Neohomes let you be very creative in furnishing the home. Wonderful site!

While Neopets is suit for kids, the site is not at all suit for anyone older. Also, the site is full of bugs, that lose your neopoints. The system is powered by an unfortunate mixture of cookies and accounts, so that if one person plays a certain game, the other cannot play from the same IP. Accounts are frozen too easily, ,and the sit eis generally unfair. The site is horrible, especially with the downtime they have. Stay away from Neopets; it'll create the darkest episode in your life.

I've been on neopets since the beginning. I was one of the first 300 users to sign up, and i remember what it was like and how fun it was. But now, well, it's just sad. I came back to see how the site had changed five months ago, and i was terribly disappointed. Everything had gone up in price so much that it's near impossible to buy anything. And the only rich people on there are caffeine-addicted thirty year olds with amazing autograb programs so they can virtually hack the money tree. If you like page-to-page browsing and are a fan of feeding inanimate objects that don't and can't die and have a limited use-of-objects range, then you'll love this game. Otherwise, it's probably not worth your time. Though i admit it is a great game for youngsters!

Neopets is good, not great, not bad, it's just good. It's very fun. When they freeze your account, it's just that you're doing something very wrong to them! I just LOVE Neopets!!!:) Today, I don't think Neopets is working properly, but most of the time it's working properly.

once upon a time neopets used to be about the players. they used to care about opinions. now they care about their money more. their moniters are freeze happy don't check in to reports to see if a person actuly DID break a rule bad enough to be frozen. their older players that used to love them now hate them because this. please if you feel the same way boycott their toys and if possible their sponsers. thank you.

I have been playing neopets for 18 months an i love it...not to mention its great for kids, it teaches them responsibility, my daughter an i both play, an she is over here everyday making sure her pets have toys to play with and that her pets are fed...Very imaginative, lets ppl create, homes, shops, belong to clubs (guilds), an its a place where kids can go that they are monitored, as far as language and other things that should be considered of abusive and adult conduct only...I dont have to worry about what my daughter is seeing when shes on neopets, its a fun an safe place for ppl to go an hang out

Neopets is a very complex and interesting site but you can just really get tired of it. I also give NeoPets two stars because it could be much better if they made it more complex and much cooler so older kids can use it too.

It's the most @!#$*% up site up ever. When I was in grade 4 I was addicted. So was my brother. He made fun of the site and gave links to porn sites on the boards. They froze his account. They also froze all of the accounts created on our computer because our IP adress was not able to be used on neopets.

Although I can see why some people don't like this game (I guess it isn't for everyone), I find it fun, the pets are adorable and it's sort of like your own little world to play in - manage a shop, play a game or two, chat with a friend, buy something for your pet - I think it's a great game with loads of imagination and really easy to play.

I don't care what all you people say. I think neopets is great. The games are a little slow and the neopoint system is sorta crummy, but over all its a great site. I love the idea that you can inter your pets in beauty contests and show of your art work. I also like the idea to have guilds so you can talk to others that share your interests. What up dog and Fire-of-Drops are completely right. This site has no originality and gets lame after a few days. The neopoint system is horrible and so are the games. The pets are just moronic and the people who run this place have absoleutly no life.

This site gets addictave... if your about 6 years old or older. This site starts you off with these annoying little things that you call pets. You can fight with them and feed them. Enroll them in competetions. This site is horrible, it has 0 imagination and it gets old really fast. The worlds there suck and the pets get stupider and stupider. You can get "neo-points" which are quite easy to get but things are overpriced. You play games to get them mostly but also there are stocks which can lose all of your neopoints or there is the shop function where you compete to get costomers which is lame. Overall this site is horrible and flat out stupid.
