Hard, But worth the effort. Awesome graphics, Great game play. Lots of adventure. It takes a while to get through so you are good for a couple of weeks anyway. I am now on to M/p Echoes, and I must say I am impressed with the metriod series.

Metroid Prime is the best game on the Gamecube. It has: Aliens, Chick in weird suit, Big gun things that go BANGBANGBANG, Weird music that makes you go: weird, but sadly there are no wedges anywhere in this game. I give it 6, minus one for lack of wedges.

Metroid Prime is one of the most original first person adventure games ever to be released and one of the prettiest looking games to appear on the Gamecube, pushing the hardware to it's limits and showcasing some of the best looking lighting effects and texture work on any console. It has an addictive quality from start to finish and the moody soundtrack helps keep the atmosphere taught throughout. The puzzle solving is probably the highlight of Metroid Prime and the designer's have kept it varied so that you'll never find yourself feeling that deja vu or bored at any point, as morphing Samus into a ball is required in to complete a number of puzzles, some of which are quite challening, along with figuring out how to defeat some of the end level bosses, all of which are all impressively detailed. It's really hard to fault Metroid Prime except maybe that having to backtrack through some of the levels later on in the game, feels rather tedious at times, although a cool 3D map of the environment makes navigating around a breeze. Despite this though, this is a must have title for anybody who owns a Gamecube.

This is a great game. The graphics are some of the best I've seen in a GCN game. Throughout the duration of the game (which is very long) you'll not see a single loading screen. Through the whole game you get to explore several sections of planet Tallon IV, which range from a tropical oasis to an ancient city, and from firey underground lava filled caves to a polar paradise. The game itself isn't that hard until you get to the last couple of bosses. That is, if you've collected a sufficiant amount of energy and powerups. If you don't collect enough energy tanks or missles, the game will be very hard for you, and unfortunately, these items aren't entirely easy to come across. Some are very well hidden while others are out in the open. Now for the fun part... The gameplay. This game feels like a Metroid game, a scavenger hunt of sorts to find the most items you can to beef yourself up for the final battle. There's a new feature in this game called the Scan visor. It basically gives the player the ability to scan items and creatures to learn more about them. It can get boring, though, so it's a good thing the scan visor is mostly optional. The controls on this game take some getting used to, but once you learn them it's like second nature. Jumping is one of the worst aspects of the game as you can't see your feet and have basically no idea where you're going to land. All in all, this is a very good game that any Metroid or FPS fan should definately buy.

This game is very attracting and will keep you playing until your done. But, what i look for in a game is something that will give me an ambition to play it continuously even though i have already beaten it. I would NOT select this game if it were the only game that you would get this year and i say this because, though you will play it to the death and it might make you want to say things which you might regret, this game is only something that one would have the ambition to play once and only once. But it was a good game so i cannot complain.

I wasn't sure about a Metroid in first person view at first but after playing it I was able to appreciate it for the terrific story and wonderful graphics.

Icredible graphics, perfect ambience, decent challenge. Backtracking can be annoying, but that is typical for any Metroid game. The controls can be awkward at first, but once you get used to them, they fit the game perfectly.

This is another shining example of a great Nintendo game. The graphics are stupendous. There isn't any real music, usually. But, the ambient sound is very realistic. This game is also in its own genre. It's a first person adventure. Yes, it's a shooter. But it's also an adventure. The two combined are quite interseting.

I wish this scale went up to 10 because that's what i'd give it. Great story line, drop dead graphics, super-tight controls, very, very cool morph ball and scan modes, and awesome enemies are what make this game great. A definite must-buy for Gamecube.
