My wife enjoyed this show but I never enjoyed it much. Pretty good cast and writing just too slow paced. Might have been good as a half-hour show.

okay for the few times i watched. guess i never got into this show. the actors were fine. did not hate the show probably was okay for those interested in the what it was about. shrug.

i still wonder how bruce boxleitner has managed to earn a living on television. someone must like him because he keeps getting recycled into new shows. he hasnt killed off star trek yet.
AmandaKingFan 01/25/2006
I can't believe this is STILL not on DVD, espacially with all the dreck out there that is. The mix of spy biz, comedy, and romance was great in this show.
GenrlLee01 09/28/2005
One of my all time favs! Soooo want to see this one on DVD!!!
redman8 09/18/2005
This show's music was unbelievable. It was a rarity...the ACTION ADVENTURE COMEDY TV SHOW. The type of show that is sorely missed in today's crap load of reality TV garbage. The action was awesome.
Riverlily 08/13/2005
Watched the show when it was in reruns on the Family Channel in the 90's. Such a cute show and just loved Bruce Boxleitner. Now he's a real man......lucky Melissa Gilbert. Kate Jackson was real cute too. Would love to see a reunion movie, maybe a series of movies on the Hallmark Channel like they have going now. A new movie once a month. WHEN are the suits going to release this show on DVD?
rjy 08/12/2005
A good show! Needs to be released on dvd!
mamas family sucks 12/30/2004
What the hell was this show about? Kate Jackson was great on Charlies Angels, and deserves 3 stars for being on this obscure drivel.
robwilliams 12/29/2004
Scarecrow and Mrs king is one of the best series ever produced. It would be great if you could be this series on dvd.
SCMKFan 11/25/2004
Wholesome, action, romance -- what more could people ask for. I wish shows were more like this today. I would buy the entire series if it were on DVD.

One of the best shows of the 80's (a decade with much bad TV). Charming, funny and well-acrted by leads Jackson and Boxleitner!
amahow 09/15/2004
Would really like to see it released on DVD!

This show was great. keeping in mind that it was made and took place in the 1980's at the end of the cold war it was pretty good. the bad guys even had a heart sometimes. this show was funny and sweet. i miss that on television, where everything now has to contain swears or nudity in order to be popular. I was only 7 when this show came out and i became a fan in the early 90's when it was on the Family channel. Very few things on tv have ever kept my loyalty like that. it says a great deal about the show that there are so many people of different ages who love it and watch it if it shows up on tv 20 years after it began.

Desperate, in very much trouble spy utilizes his only & possibly last option, pass off the top-secret intelligence to an unsuspecting suburban mother. What follows is four seasons of mayhem, suspense, humor, intrigue, drama, romantic tension, and fantastic character development that mesh with covert intelligence, defecting citizens, terrorists, assasination plots, kidnapped Federal Agents, the ex-husband, the doomed Porsche, bombings, the beloved Corvette, the station wagon that kept getting abused, death threats, secrets kept and secrets revealed, two rambunctious but loveable boys, ex-girlfriends, supposed dead people who have a way of popping up from the past, and some pretty nasty supervisors who have no apprecation for agents who bend the rules to suit the case and their loveable section chief who understands a lot more than he lets on. Nearly three full seasons into it and wham, the divorced mom from Arlington and the orphaned spy who spent his childhood shuffled from one military base to another and seemingly have little in common, realize that they've found what they've been searching for all along. The cast, from regulars to guest stars, created wonderful magic for four seasons and sadly, something we hardly see on television anymore. From Kate Jackson's loveable portrayal of Amanda King(an acting range that covered the spectrum) to gorgeous, sexy Bruce Boxleitner, this show had it all! I'd love to see a reunion movie, or at least DVD release of all 88 eps. Yeah, I admit it, years later, I'd still and do watch this one! Beats the crap they put out these days.

How can you not love a show like this? The dialogue is hilarious, the characters brilliantly cast, the romance aspect of the show is intriguing without being sappy, while the action leaves you begging for more. This is my all-time favorite show. Shame on anyone who would call it boring -- that's the last thing this show could ever be.

There was a girl I went to high school with who was in love with Bruce Boxleitner, and she would never do anything with us on Monday nights because it would mean she would miss Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Now, I liked the show alright, but not nearly that much. The plot, which included a housewife getting involved with espionage, was a little farfetched.

My wife and I plus a next door neighbor really miss seeing this series on TV. We sure miss watching it.

Scarecrow and Mrs. King is a FABOO show that everyone can enjoy. It says alot about a show when 15 years later it still has a huge fan base. GREAT CHEMISTRY between the characters.

A show that has a complete recipe for a 5 star rating. You know it's a great show when you finish an episode and feel like you just have to watch more (many many marathons) :-) Very AWESOME show!! 5 STARS!!

SMK is my favorite show of all time. The chemistry between the characters Lee and Amanda is unbelievable. I've yet to watch another show that captivated the audience the way that SMK did. I hope it's around in syndication forever!

I really liked this show. Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner were a great team.
Melinda Light 03/01/2003
It has a mixture of everything, romance, mystery, and intrigue.
Buffy40plusyrs 03/01/2003
SMK is one of my favorite TV shows of all time. It has it all, Romance (the make your heart thump kind, not the 'jump in the sack' kind) Humor, Action and Chemistry; between two of the best looking people in TV. It's not surprising to me that it garners new fans even now, many of which wern't even born when it stopped filming in '87!
ClassicCouples 03/01/2003
My all time favorite show!!
Bitcetc 03/01/2003
One of the best shows ever. Funny, witty, subtle, great chemistry between the characters, and the fabulous Bruce Boxleitner. I only discovered it on PAX, having missed its original run in the 80's, but hope to see the entire series intact, cut scenes restored, on television again someday soon.
eccn 03/01/2003
My very favorite show of ANY decade.
Neeney 03/01/2003
Awesome family show. If I had children it would be one that I wouldn't be afraid to let them watch. Great chemistry between the leads.
