Ok so just saw an episode were 2nd cousins (older woman and her younger daughter are sueing another (male) cousin for aparently stealing gold coins, two Sony PSP's and an Ipod. So in the words of joe brown "Long story short"

I think Joe brown is pathetic, unreal, UNJUST!!, A joke amongst real black America! What are we teaching our young people by bringing them in front of a crowd of more than a million viewers to degrade them ? NONE of the aleged insidents were proven!! Is this what MLK was talking about over coming? I think Joe brown was raised on a plantation as a "House Nigga" who was rewarded every time he got on his knees to suck his masters dick!! And was later abandoned after his master had a heart attack and died!! And with no where else to go another white man picked him up and gave him his own show just to show what shame we as blacks bring on one another each and every day!! FUCK JOE BROWN!!! HE SHOULD BE HANGED!!!! sorry for my tangents but I was very offended by this mans so called rulling!! I dont think any Human being regardless of race color or creed should have been treated in this manner!!

Today, Friday, 09/25/2009, there was a case on Judge Joe Brown that I found very difficult to comprehend. Evidently the plaintiff was suing the defendant because the defendants' pit bulls mangled their Maltese mix dog and ultimately had to put the poor dog down. The defendants in this particular case were extremely discourteous, rude and loud. They outright disrespected the Judge by flipping him the "bird" and using a hand motion under her chin that I found to be absolutely abominable. In my opinion (and I'm not in the legal profession) they were absolutely in contempt of court, especially walking out of the courtroom before the case was over. How come the Judge did not place them in CONTEMPT, since they certainly deserved much more punishment than a financial one. I hope Judge Brown can answer this question for me. I'm sorry, but there wasn't much amusement in my take on this case, therefore, I can't be "witty".

Since the car accident, in Oct. 06, that left me disabled, I've watched Judge Joe Brown, just about everyday(excluding re-runs), for a few years now, it was nothing special. It'd appeared as though there were more black people on, which I like.

I now, however, have come to the conclusion that he is somewhat sexist - against women. At least, when it comes to being faithful/loyal/honest in relationships.

There's been at least two prior, but today's show - 8.4.09 - the girl said her guy was cheating and Judge Joe Brown brushed it off saying something along the lines of 'the guys in school for engineering, he has no kids, hes good looking, etc. - that the guy's in demand'.

Maybe a week ago, a guy said his girl was cheating and Judge Joe Brown tore in on that girl, angrily asking her 'why did you do that, why would you do that'...finishing up saying something like 'its usually the other way around, where the girls complaining her guy is stepping out. Act right...', or something along those lines.

I find him to be extremely chauvinisitic when it comes to infidelity.

several years ago when I first started watching JJBrown, I WAS ENTERTAINED; as of late he seems to have become a showman, one who interupts , he's rude yells, SelfRighteous about everything, I had stopped watching for a while he had become so much of a BLOWHARD BULLY-HE'S JUST so FULL OF HIMSLEF--THE last show I watched he was awful--a young woman had purchased a junk car from a crooked used car dealer, Joe kept interrupting would'nt let her tell her side, spoke very rudley to her, but when that crook spopke he was all ears--the female white BIG BREAST asst. spoke HE WAS ALL SMILES AND GRINS, done with him, can't stand him --will be HAPPY 2 C him go

I am becoming increasing more disappointed in this show. I have been watching it for several years and loved it. Lately, I am feeling like Judge Brown is becoming increasingly more inappropriate and judgmental to people who has a legal history, have children born out of wedlock or have a history of dropping out of school. Despite that the individuals may be upstanding positive individuals, he is so busy talking over them and making assumptions, to hear what they are saying. I have observed him make accusations, that if he would have listened, he would not have misinterpreted what was said.

I have been feeling this way for a while and wanted a place to voice my opinion, since I feel that that my Judge Joe Brown days are over.....

Joe Brown's not as bad as Judge Judy, though he definitly talks over people in a similar way! The perspective is a bit archaic, and the bailiff is a complete joke, though every now and then he adds a shining light of rationale. When he's actually making a point and the chick doing the "courtroom review" takes over makes me want to throw something at the tv. Get rid of her already!

I read some of the prior reviews, and why do the people who like the show only have 1 liners? Do you not have the capacity to say what you like, or are you only entertained by the droning background? Hmmm, fluffing the blog....maybe?

Also, you don't need to qualify your opinion by stating your ethnicity, it only perpetuates the racist BS that we're trying to get rid of.
I really like Judge Mathis, except when he gets a case that's personal to he, he deviates through the entire episode, and Milian (I hacked the name, I know) she has a great perspective, is rational, funny, and verbally smacks the right people upside the head.
Regardless, we should be thankful that we have the time to not only watch these shows, but have the ability to bitch about them on a public forum : )

Thanks for perpetuating the plight of the pit bull. It's publicity like this that sets the breed back. I like that you forgave the german shepherd for being placed relatively high on your bar graph for "doing their job", referring to police work. Would that be because they we're trained to react that way? Did it ever occur to you that much of the time pit bulls, unfortunately, are trained to do the same. They did they're job too. We just exploit their eagerness to please, agility, strength and high threshold for pain.

What did a Pitt Bull do to piss this man off? I guess I like him okay- he doesn't really impress me one way or the other... but I have been REALLY irritated with his intollerence of this dog breed. Its discrimination- and prejudice is horrible and has NO PLACE in a courtroom. I would think that someone in his position would look more at the case and less at "racial (breed) profiling". He has started showing the terribly skewed statistics about pitt maulings that have no considerations for the fact that Pitts are targeted (and bred) for dog fighting- and that other breeds actually have more instances of attacks. Maybe not causing fatal results, but just as much a liability. Its not the dog- its the guardian of the dog. If we are going to start putting AUTOMATIC blame on potentially dangerous entities- then by all means, outlaw guns. I would totally be in favor of that! There is a negetive association with the breed and people like Joe Brown who perpetuate that notion. Where is the media and hype about the loyal Pitts who protect and serve their families? I assure you- their numbers far out weigh their much more dangerous cousins. His relintless blind lack of consideration for the justice towards these animals has caused me to take up their plight. I am an obedience trainer with a specialty in behavior modification and my BEST clients are Chihuahuas and Yorkies- NOT PITTS! I am also the founder of a no kill rescue and don't get many calls from owners who want me to take one of their Pitt Bulls. Maybe there is a reason that the guardians of this breed are as loyal (and defensive) of them as they are of their guardians!! Ponder that one JUDGE JOE BROWN!!!!

i can't stand judge joe brown, my mom watches that show. they rarely talk about anything thats related to the case, he just sits up there on his bench and talks down to people, who is he to judge people's lifestyles, he should stick to his job and judge civil court cases, not people's ways of living, he is not God the last time I checked. You can't sum up a persons life by speaking to them all of 5 minutes.

I find Judge Joe Brown abusive - especially when he's trying to be funny. Wish this would be cancelled.

I love to watch Judge Jow Brown he gets to the point and sometimes makes you laugh.

He's one of the better judges on TV.  The majority of the time he judges the cases very fairly.

Nine out of ten people that get on these programs such as Judge Joe Brown are probably sorry they ever came on the show for everyone to see their personal problems.

I was watching the show about the "pit bull" killing the neighbors chihuahua and Judge Joe Brown made the comment that "pit bull" owners never think their dogs are at fault. I am very offended and I own a pit bull. I'm also a Veterinary Tech and come in contact with many"pit bulls". When he made that comment I immediately changed the channel and I will no longer watch his show!!!!!!!!!!!! I will also let my co-workers also pit bull owners not to watch his show. I think he needs to watch the National Geographic show called Dogtown where they are rehabilitating several of Michael Vicks Fighting dogs and also finding homes for them.
The comment he made is just continuing the misconception that all pits are bad and I'm sorry, it's not the breed it is the owners. He should also watch the Dog Whisperer!

I really love Judge Joe Brown he is my favorite

Personally I think there are far too many of these programs on television these days. But Judge Joe is one of the better ones. If you are feeling sympathy for most of the litigants on this show you need to get your act together. Or better yet get a job or go back to school.

I'm a black 48 year old Army Retiree, and I have alot of judgement calls, and I have seen prejudice in action. With this said I think that Judge Joe Brown and Judge Greg Mathis are the worse! Judge Brown treats every Black Man who comes in his court with degrading comments, and he talks over everyone - so if he is not listening how can he judge? Judge Mathis rants and raves so much how can he judge? Both remind me of this Black Policeman who came to our neighborhood in th 70's with his White partner. The Black cop always treated us like crap, but the White cop was cool and down to earth. The Black cop seem like he wanted to prove to the white cop that he was impartial, but in reality he was'nt he was racisty against his own people. I think Judge Hatchett and Judge Lynn Toler are the embodiment of what good judgement and fairness should be from the bench, and not two more Black Judge Judy's like the so-called brothers above.

Uses common sense & take responsibility as his basis for judgements. He tries to lead youthful offenders in the right direction.

Judge Joe Brown is the best Judge show on TV! He is fair and just and gets down to business. I think he is a great role model for our youth today. Just read his bio!  Whoever loses gets exactly what they deserve. He may be old but he is a very  sexy old man! He can put his shoes under my bed any time!

I think Judge Joe Brown Is just fantastic, because he talks straight to those who stand before him. He tells them the truth about themselves. I get so excited when he does because these people are in need of an wake up call. I thank God for Judge Joe Brown. Keep up your excellent work.

I love Joe Brown, he is as good as Judy. I love when some no-account Black persons comes before him (I'm Black). He has no tolerance for Blacks who are just destroying our community. He is rough on most jerks, no matter what race, but he seems especially rough on Blacks. Fortunately, he can say those things that others think but can't say. I applaud him.

He often bases decisions on how good looking one of the parties are. He makes really strange choices and you can tell he's sexist. I find it most annoying when he struggles to sound wise.

blah..this man could care less about the cases..he judges by what he THINKS is happened not what the FACTS show..and when he actually made the comment on one show where a guy who was 18 and bought cigarettes ,which the idiot judge says,well you just broke the law cause i was driving through that state the other day and the sign in the gas station said, we i.d under 35...omg...and this man's a judge.!

This guy is the WORST ever. He never listens to anyone, costantly puts words in their mouths and rules wrong 90% of the time. I dont get why no one else sees this. He is so freaking annoying! What a douche bag! Cancel the show asap.

The man came from the ghetto and lived all of its tribulations. He is a great rags to riches Story. So he has a particular intelligence needed and a vision for dealing with his litigants who seem to be mostly black. He has no patience for their lazy ways and excuses. I love to watch him try to get through to these folks. He can get away with saying things and attacking them so much more that a judge of any other color could. I like this guy.

Judge Joe Brown is beginning to be like Judge Judy, sounding like a hollerin' fool. Now I like Judge Judy too but the shouting at people is unnecessary. You know you did something wrong in his courtroom when he gets up on his soapbox preachin' the word and gnarling at everybody. Great show though lol.

I had the unfortunate experience of meeting Joe Brown at a taping 2/10/05.I was a witness. He allowed the plaintiff to speak her mind, yet the defendant, he cut her off. He played to the audience so much it makes me wonder if he was actually a retired judge or a showman. The producer Tod Sachs told the defendant she would have 2-5 minutes to state her case,as well as the plaintiff. That was a complete falsehood.Joe Brown in my opinion just enjoys hearing himself talk.Also, I believe he decides who he wants to win the case before he even talks to them.Everyone should go and watch him in person, he is a joke!

Judge Joe Brown is the best judge on TV. He is just as wise and intelligent as Judge Judy, but he also acts in a dignified manner and doesn't confuse himself with God.

Judge Joe Brown is very professional. He doesn't do gimmecks and adminstrates justice relatively well. He could use some more personality, though. But what's most important is he's ability to be fair.

This man is a credit to any bench he sits on. Joe Brown is a great courtroom judge. And if his methods might seem unorthodox, he nevertheless combines common sense with his decisions. Judge Brown tells it like it is, and shows no tolerance for irresponsible and reprehensible behavior. Like he says It's about taking care of your own business. Judge Joe Brown is a role model.

Judge Joe Brown is great! He yells at those irresponsible litigants in his courtroom. he teaches them responsibility and how to respect people. Way to go, Judge Joe Brown! I like him because, like me, he has strict zero tolerance for young people having children out of wedlock and young men and women ripping people off. He also has strict zero tolerance for people who commit malicious criminal acts such as car vandalism and assault and give litigants punitive damages in those cases.

i like judge joe. he's cool, smooth, knows his stuff and still is familar with the silliness of folks.

I give 5 stars. Judge Joe Brown is by far the best judge on television. you can tell he really knows what he talking about. He brings a sense of tough love to the court room. I love watching him work. If you think you can get over on him in the court room, think again.

if i hear one more person compare him to that crass, bitter, insult spewing J.judy i'll scream. yes, joe yells sometimes but he does it with the concern of a fathers disipline. it seems to me that if it were our loved one bringing home some of the cases before him we would react the same.
