I have little use for this gun as utility goes. I have guns that are better at what they are for. With that said I will never sell my .357 mag. It is a great easy packing varmint gun for close (125 yards)range. And I think it would make an excelent cugar rifle. I have a 4x scope on mine and love it. Great quality.

Marlin has made one nice little carbine.I finally got a chance to take my little shooter to the range, and WOW!I can not say enough about this gun it is appealing to the eye, and once you pick it up,it is hard to put it down. With a 2.5power scope, and 200gr.hollow point at a 100yrds. I placed three in the bullseye in a 1.00 group!! We were all smiling at the performance.

This little gun rocks! I hunt tight swampy area's with lots of snakes. With this gun I can take deer, hogs, and quickly slip in a shot load for snakes. Stay within the design purpose of the gun and you'll love it too :)

Marlin are fun to shoot and a half way decent gun, and you can buy one at K-mart for around $150. Kinda generic, but not bad for the money.

very handy and easy to shoot little rifle - superb accuracy for carbine - great if used for it's intended purpose - 100 yards or less
