Pyrotech Slow Pitch Softball Bat 4

My experience with this bat is that I have used it an entire summer for multiple slow pitch softball leagues (different bat rules)... Also, I have used many different bats in the past so that I can make the following comparisons:

I recommend this bat if you are playing in a slow pitch league that prohibits composites or multi-wall bats. In that case this bat is pretty good. The only single wall, non-composite bat that I would say is better is the Demarini Raw-Steel (In my opinion it has a larger sweet spot, and just as much pop if not more.), but they are really hard to find anymore...

In general, this bat does not stack up to multi-walled composite bats. Its sweet spot does have some good pop to it, but I would say it is fairly small in comparison to multi-walled composites. Of course you will pay more for a good multi-wall composite bat though.

Finally the diameter of the grip is smaller than most of the grips on softball bats that I've used. It definitely feels different. If you prefer a larger grip, than you would need to regrip this bat.

Pyrotech Slow Pitch Softball Bat 3

Bought it based on another review and the price. Other single wall, aluminum alloy (i.e., the legal bats in my league) performance bats are 200$ and up. Probably for a reason. I've tried to break this bat in and find the sweet spot, and probably need a few dozen more hits on it to tell for sure, but I'm not completely sold that this bat will give the pop of a more expensive demarini. Of course, performance is a tricky thing to measure/describe based on one person (and admittedly I'm not a power hitter), but I definitely don't feel the ping or pop that I'm used to with other bats.

Pyrotech Slow Pitch Softball Bat 5

Now to start this let me say that I hadn't played old-man/coed slow pitch softball in about 12 years. What a difference this bat is compared to the ones I used then. It just "Feels" right in my hands. and after 2 games I'm batting 7 for 8 (the only hit I didn't get was a strikeout from fouls). I LOVE this new bat and so does my team. seems like everybody is using it.
