My Parker-Hale Enfield is a 3-band model chambered for the .577 Minie ball. It was produced in Italy, as are all newly manufactured Parker-Hale Enfield reproductions. The lock is crisp. All the brass fittings are well made, with no machining marks shown when the parts are in place. The lock plate is color-casehardened, as is the hammer. The stock is made of a relatively dark brown wood of good quality. My rifle was bought used, though it looked new when I recieved it in the mail. When I first took it out to shoot, it shot slightly to the right. I will probably have to get a gunsmith to fix this problem, as Enfield sights do not allow for windage adjustment. This no fault of Parker-Hale, as the original Enfield sights didn't have windage adjustment either. All in all, Parker-Hale's Enfield replica is a cut above other Enfield replicas. It's workmanship justifies the heftier pricetag. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a muzzleloader "just like they used in the Civil War". My shot groupings were tight at fifty yards, albeit slightly to the right of my intended target. I plan to spend many enjoyable days shooting targets and possibly wild game with this fine rifle-musket once the rear sight windage is corrected.
