The next best terraforming candidate, Venus could provide to be more attractive than Mars. We do have the technology to cause massive precipitations in the extensive clouds by exloding huge tanks of liquid nitrogen in the upper atmosphere and cause the temperature to drom, causing condensation, precipitation and eventually, some major openings in the cloud cover that would allow the planet to expel heat radiation into space. There is oxygen and water on Venus, in small concentrations but with a little help, they could initiate a chain reaction that would alter the planet's "ecology".

Cloudy and wet. Sort of like Seattle without Starbucks.

Hostile to most forms of life, this rocky world could be terraformed with surprising ease. Already of an excellent size and within an acceptable orbit of its home star. Once its atmosphere is sufficiently altered, the rest of the process should not prove especially difficult.

This planet is probably close to what hell would be like. It gets to about 700 degrees Farenheit during the day and the rain is made of sulfuric acid. Apparently this is an example of the greenhouse effect run violently amok, which does not bode well for earth, I imagine, but we certainly have a long way to go before we get to be as bad as venus. The air pressure is about 90 atmospheres at the surface as well. You would be roasted, exposed to (literally) acid rain, and crushed by the intense air pressure at the same time. What I'm saying is that a vacation there would be out of the question.

A little too cloudy and humid for my taste, and the sulfuric acid can be a problem to the sensitive. Jesus, I can't believe I am rating planets. I should go do something useful like get another beer.

a fascinating mysterious world. Unfortunately, people can't explore Venus because of its high temperatures and poisonous atmosphere.

Wonderful planet and it spins in the opposite direction to most of the other planets. (I believe Neptune also spins in the opposite direction??). Anyway, there goes the Big Bang theory (right down that tube) with this discovery!
