It had some good moments but not enough of them to keep it on the air. Should have paid for some better scripts.

I used to like this show...kind of the modern day "That girl."

Loved Leah, hated this show, it was just boring.

Like probably most people my age, I watched and gave "Caroline In The City" a chance, but the series never really did it for me. It's a shame because I typically like Lea Thompson (Caroline) and I thought that Amy Pietz (Annie) was real cute and, along with Malcolm Gets (Richard) (though he was clearly gay in real life), was the best character on the show. The problem was that the concept (i.e. a single woman in the city) didn't really break any new ground and the scripts were usually predictable. In short, I gave up rather early and only caught the show on occasion in the later seasons.

Each show that went by, it just got more and more dull. It wasn't a horrible show, so I never understood this. I think it had to have been the writers, because the acting was pretty good. I was just glad to see it get cancelled finally.

I love this show! Richard nails what everyone wishes they could say but are afraid of looking like a schmuck. Charlie is too cute on his little skates! Richard really makes the show.

Caroline in the City was like Friends, Suddenly Susan, and just about any other NYC sitcom on NBC these past 10 years or so.They're all about shallow yuppies trying to make it professionally and romantically in a New York City where everyone is White and Jewsih. (For the record, I am a White, European-American woman.) I think they're all basically the same show and not very funny at all.
