 | paganh (0) 02/16/2008 | To all my fellow real Puerto Rican rum drinkers, I have found a website that sells Don Q Limon, Crystal, Gold. The website is called www.winechateau.com. Enjoy.

 | misterworm (0) 01/22/2008 | This rum is so amazing. My last roommate was from Puerto Rico, and he turned me on to it. It goes down easier than Captain Morgan and Bacardi, and it's cheaper. In my local liquor store, it's on the bottom shelf, but it should be on the top.

 | ericarill (0) 10/04/2007 | e-mail: expsales@donq.com
I lived in South Florida and some liquor stores carry the Cristal and the Gold brands, but not the Limon.
Now I'm in Cincinnati, where the state has a monopoly, best chances are in Kentucky and hopefully someone see this in PR and start an agressive export program.
Don Q Limon: same problem here. Tried my recipe, cut some limes and add small amount of sugar, crush with a mortar, add ice (lots) and Don Q Cristal, shake it WELL and enjoy it!!!! NO WATER!!!!

 | luar (0) 10/21/2005 | Don Q is by far a jewel, no wonder it bares the name of the great novel by Cervantes. If you are from Puerto Rico like myself, you will know there's no other rum in the world that stands a chance. And it is true that if you go to Puerto Rico, everybody will tell you that Don Q is our rum of choice. Actually Bacardi is not originally from PR, it is cuban, but they moved their production to PR. Don Q is the real native rum, what a rum should really taste, and Serrales has been producing it since 1861 without changing anything. So if you haven't tried it yet do so, because for me it's like the 8th wonder of the world.
Suggestion: When visiting Puerto Rico buy DonQ on the airport on your way out, hey!!! this way you wouldn't have drank it before arriving to your homes. (this is what I do everytime I leave the island)
So SALUD, and Enjoy!!!!!

 | Rafidq (0) 10/12/2005 | Don Q is being imported by Future Brands (Absolut Vodka) in the mainland. It is available in Florida, New York, LA, Chicago and Texas. If you don't find it at your nearest Liquor Store, just ask them to get it for you. Tell them is distribute by Future Brands and they should be able to get it.

 | Dulcedria (0) 08/25/2005 | I just came back from Puerto Rico after having been there for a month, and I got addicted to Don Q Limon. Does anyone know where I can buy that from online, I'm pretty sure that they don't sell it in stores anywhere. I will never go back to bacardi after tasting the Don Q Limon. Cruzan may be able to hold me over until I can go back to PR for more, but until then does anyone have any clues?

 | fatboydave123 (0) 02/14/2005 | The best rum that can be had for less than $20.00 per bottle. Found this gem on a cruise through PR 8 years ago. Now everyone I know that leaves the country bound for carribean is asked to bring a few bottles home for me. We need to find a good online source for this stuff.

 | EL Capi (0) 01/10/2005 | GREAT TASTING and affordable are just a few of the attributes this rum has. By far the best rum on the market, Don-Q is in a class of its own and has a name for itself in Puerto Rico and the international market. Fanatics like myself are slowly introducing it to the US market, so if you get the opportunity to try it and you love it, just remember a guy known as El Capi told you so!

 | realmerlyn (0) 09/12/2004 | First discovered in San Juan on cruise ship trips. Now discovered they sell it in Tijuana (Mexico BC) right at the Arch at North End of Revolution Avenue. I bring back a fifth on each Mexico visit, because this rum is smoooooth and wonderful. Yes, drink it straight, or on rocks, or with coke. It's the best.

 | Oanest (0) 08/25/2004 | This is the best tasting Rum - so clean and smooth. We got hooked on it in our trips to P.R. A freind of ours found it for sale in Cincinatti- so he brought us home a bottle. So somebody is importing it!

 | R.Young (0) 06/17/2004 | First learned of all DonQ rum products during Military Service stationed at Juana Diaz Ft Allen during 1961 to 1963. Remember Mr. Tito Wirshing and Muerto Island well during that period. Have since found no better rums made anywhere. It is extremely sad that no distribution is offered to the Mainland USA. Must contend on trips to the Caribbean to stock up.

 | Waky66e (0) 05/27/2004 | I've drank Don Q Crystal with Mr. Serralles himself (the NICEST folks you could ever meet, by the way) and I don't even like rum! THE best, bar none. With coke, with water. or straight up. No hangover, absoloutly quality liquor. Anything less, and you're just kidding yourself! Dont even consider anything less.

 | froggy10 (0) 03/18/2004 | I've tried Bacardi, Cpt. Morgan, Malibu, Myer's and I simply keep coming back to this one. It's smooth (no harsh finish) and leaves a nice lingering hint of sweet and molasses. Problem is, you can only get it in PR. Not available in the 50 states yet. Bummer!

 | prrums (0) 10/28/2003 | I was born there and rum Don Q is what we all drank since little, we never even bothere trying other stuff until later and we always went back to Don Q. It was not only the cool and popular rum but it was just plain good, every foreigner that came over here they always asked for all sorts of stuff but once they tried Don Q, they would buy bottles bcs not only it was cheap but it was the best to mix with just regular coke or a nice cold lemonade, so drink up if you can find it outside Puerto Rico, Salud!

 | cyberkan (0) 09/21/2003 | I'm sorry for the bad taste of Reign32 and Faliodo. They must like Barcardi better, but to each his own. But Tekky1 and elvingt you guys know what good taste is. I'm from Puerto Rico and like elvingt says, they don't even bother with the US market they make enough $$$$ on the island. But, sometimes I wish they come to the US market so that they can show how good they are. Only one recommendation to any one that goes to Puerto Rico for vacation, buy Don Q, I think you woun't be dissapointed. Also, try their 38 reserve, it's even better. (Let's hope I got the name right)

 | Tekky1 (0) 07/07/2003 | I recently attended a conference in Ponce Puerto Rico, while there I had the opportunity to test a few of their better rums. I must admit, Don Q Cristal is the best rum I have ever had. If you ask any of the locals what's the island's best rum, 99% of them will tell you Don Q Cristal. When you ask them about Bacardi, they will tell you that is what they export. If you ever get the chance, try a bit of Don Q, you will be glad you did.

 | elvingt (0) 05/07/2003 | Anyone who loves rum knows this is the best Rum their is. Especially if you are from Puerto Rico. Just FYI, if you go to Puerto Rico and you ask for Bacardi, even though it is Puerto Rican Rum also, they will know you are a tourist. Only tourists drink Bacardi. Don Q makes so much money everywhere else, that they don't bother with the U.S. Market that Bacardi has. Once you taste it, you'll know. No after taste and no hangover the next day.
