Hell yeah I think it was great they were talking about Wolverine still and is flashbacks I like Wolverine,Cyclops Rogue,Storm and the other charaters.Cyclops and Strorm are so hott.Plus they talked about saving the mutant species but it turned on them,it was humans.also nightcrawler wasin there too.His is a sciencey fiction movie.

A pretty good sequel to X-Men. The effects are as good as usual, but I prefer the first film.

A disappointment according to many people, and again, sequels will always be compared to the original or first movie, specially if the first one was a blockbuster, record-breaking film at the box office.

This second X-Men movie did become bland, and almost just a 'filler' in the whole scheme of things (The X-Men saga).

It builds on the old, and introduces new characters, storylines, and possible spin-off material (if they get the funding).

Action is there at least, in case you get bored somewhere along the way. There is no substitute for fans, because they will watch it and judge for themselves, whether to like it or hate it. Knowingly they don't really have a choice, and will take the sequels in as they get released.

It was better than the first because the first was setting up the story so teh second had more action. Kinda like Episode IV and V from Star Wars. I also loved it because it had Nightcrawler. X3 is coming out in May. Update: I may not see X3 since I have heard they may not have Nightcrawler in it and he was one of the best in the movie. They may do a Wolverine movie which means a slice and dice movie.

Better than the first one. I am not a superhero cartoon fan. I never read any comics. But I think this movie is a lot of fun. And even if you don't like those kind of movies, you might wanna try this one out. It is really good.

Very good and actually better than the first one. Way more action and a lot more depth to the story. If you are a fan of the comics you will get a lot out this. Fun movie and a must see.

I'm still a bit disappointed with the X-Men movies after seeing the cartoons when I was young, but this movie was pretty good. It was a whole lot better than the first one, which I thought was horrible. The X-Men's powers are actually put to use for more than 2 seconds in this one and more X-Men are introduced. The opening scene is really cool too. It's worth seeing.

The first X-Men movie was plain awful. It didn't even stay true to either the comic book or cartoon and I was so disappointed. Where was Jubilee, Gambit and Beast? I walked away feeling that I just witnessed a poor episode of a washed up sci-fi TV programme. X2 however gave me the pleasure of sitting in my seat five minutes after the movie finished with my eyes still rolling from a visual feast of fresh character development, good special effects and a good story. With a few minor glitches (The absence of Beast, Gambit and Jubilee, Rogue and her romance with Iceman when really it should have been Gambit) I managed to overlook these small flaws and just appreciated a good movie.

I feel that the 2nd movie is way better than the first. The computer graphics are much more indepth and the plot kept you on the edge of your seat.

Good sequel with some spectacular special effects. It has a good cast especially Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman. I was also intrigued by Alan Cummings performance as the Night Crawler. The story was weaker and there wasn't a lot of character development like in the first one which was a lot better. I would have prefered to see more of Bruce Davison, to see more of Cyclops, and to have the main villian once again be Megento.

Awesomely great sequel, surpassing the first. The cast is incredible, packed with great actors like Patrick Stewart, Ian Mackallen, Famke Janseen and Halle Berry. The special effects are incredible, making the great action sequences even better. The dialogue is great. And, there are even some good touches of humor. The ending was also very cool. Great movie!

While I enjoyed the first X-Men movie, this was much improved. This one provided more action, more thrills, more character development and all in all, more enjoyment. For the most part, the actors played the roles perfectly especially Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The only one that still annoyed me a little was Anna Paquin as Rogue; that casting still doesn't make any sense to me. For a fun piece of fantasy/sci-fi/action, this is great!

Great movie. Better than the first.

One of the best movies I've seen in theatres in a long time. As I tell everyone who asks me, it's the best movie I've seen in theatres all year. You don't need to see the first to like this one, though I'd seen X-Men 1 in theatres too and liked it quite a bit, and this one is actually better than the first, at least in my opinion.

A 4.5. Well done sequel to the first film. All the characters in the film were good and so was the acting. And at some points, it is better than the first.

was a simple outstanding movie.. the action was awesome.. the effects when nightcrwler apparates is simply too good to describe.. the story was gripping.. the ending was totally unexpected

I have always enjoyed the cartoon show. I've never read the comics, and while this movie is not deep, or brilliant, It stays true to its roots. I await the sequal with some anticipation. Definitely a kids movie, but fun for adults too.

The whole thing with Jean Grey at the end, and it's implication, was dumb as hell. The movie up until then was cool.

This movie was well done in my opinion. Had some great action sequences and other satisfying moments. I enjoyed seeing Pyro retalliate against the police. Magneto's escape from his plastic prison was also a memorable moment. It got a little cheesy towards the end. The ending promises a sequel but the bad thing is that you have to wait a couple more years to find the story's conclusion.

The only reason this movie does not get a five is because of the several details from the comics that were left missing to this storyline, characters, etc. There are too many to mention on this site. So, I'll spare you. However, the history of the X-men series has a forty year history of numerous and detailed storylines,and characters that it would be impossible, in my view, to make a X-men movie in perfect harmony with the comic book series. For that to happen, they would have to start at the beginning, and that will never happen. Otherwise, the movie was great. The plot flowed fluently throughout the movie. There was more emphasis on the actual abilities of the mutants (especially Wolverine and Storn). Solid non-stop action, and impressive digital and camera effects (the 1st scene with Nightcrawler emphasizes this point). You will walk out of the theater with the feeling that you've spent your money wisely.

probably the best sequel out there so far this summer. Actually haven't seen the other sequels but I thought this was cool and had a complete storyline instead of ending without any resolution as other movies.

X-men. It makes me jelous i wasn't born with special powers. I love the x-men series they are always intertaining. I enjoy watching the fighting in this movie and i think that there is more to enjoy that the first one lacks. Obviously id have to say the original was better but i still think that this was a brilliant movie. Fun to watch and i wasn't boared a moment. I'll definatly have the DVD when it comes out in stores. If you are a Comic book fan this is a must see. And even if your not it is still an enjoyable movie. I HOPE GAMBIT IS IN THE NEXT ONE!!!

Clearly the greatest action/super hero pic. of all time up to current movies!

The minute I sat in that cinema seat, I became a child again... and I loved it! Far from saying the film is for kids, as the many political undertones and cultural references are clearly aimed at an older audience, most probably people like me who grew up with the X-Men and don't mind slipping back into our childhood for two hours and seeing our imaginations portrayed in on the big screen. Die hard comic book fans do have to realize that the screen is a very different medium to the comic, so concessions and sacrifices do have to be made, as painful as they are (Gambit). I thoroughly enjoyed reliving the easy days, so I can't wait for the next one!

Never a dull moment. I WANT TO BE A MUTANT!

This was cool! I can't give it 5 stars 'cause it's a kids movie, so it didn't have any sex scenes, but apart from that it was all class!

The mutants team up once again in X2: X-Men United, a mediocre and somewhat bland follow-up to the box-office hit original. In this, the mutants must prove that they are too, good people, and of course, fight the bad guy. There are no real surprises here, and the screenplay is basically a rehash of the original. The new characters aren't all that interesting either. Iceman and Pyro are solid characters, with interesting powers, but Nightcrawler has no chance to shine in the entire film, and is wasted with about 20 minutes screen time. The special effects and sound are amazing, but it's still a rehash. Famke Jassen comes off best as Jean Gray, and is almost oscar-worthy. The weakest player is surprisingly Patrick Stewart, who overacts and gives an over-the-top portrayl of Professor X. X2: X-Men United will only appeal to die-hard comic book fans.

Great movie that those who only look at the surface won't see the depth of the movie. it is the type that has flash for those who don't get the depth. Either way you will probably like it. In the end, you will understand where the third movie is going, unless you have never read a single X-men comic, watched a single cartoon ect ect. They once again focused in more on wolverine than on the other merry mutants, however some fan favorites made cameos which made at least one fan fairly happy.

It was entertaining, at least--it's nothing profound or anything, but it had pretty decent effects. I definately liked how they got Magneto out . . . er, shouldn't say more, would spoil movie. But, anyhow, you definately see where the third movie'll go if they make it.
