I can't ever watch any of these anymore because they are staged

Great season! The first season i actually watched. I used to drool over Amber and Elizabeth. They are too overatted now.

I hate all the survivor series. See my comments for survivor 1.

One of the best survivor seasons. Colby's and Jeri's fights are just unforgetable. Survivor in it's prime.

Widely considered to be the best Survivor, Outback had the most likeable cast, a non-island location, and just all-around a lot of fun. Colby rocks my socks!

Again, this series enjoyed a good amount of following because it piggy-baced on the popularity of Borneo, much like Pearl Islands piggybacking and profiting from the popularity of Amazon.

I followed every iteration of Survivor very intently and pride myself as an expert on the show. Unfortunately, next to Pearl Islands, I found Survivor 2 (Australia) to be the weakest version. I simply could not stand either of the final 3: A chef who couldn't cook; A Big-mouthed Texan whose stupidity cost him a million; and Tina the back-stabbing weasel. She not only failed to come remotely close to winning a challenge, she single-handedly caused her tribe to lose a couple of challenges, then responded by voting off her closest friends (Mad Dog and that Army Kid). She had the chutzpah to ask a couple of people how much they earned, which she used as her motive for voting the next person off (of course riding off the coattails of Colby for her impunity from being voted off). Jerri was detestable. Elisabeth's constant uttering of Oh my God was driving me insane. The better tribe had the unfortunate circumstance of Micheal Skulpin burning himself in a bonfire (never knew what that was about), allowing the backstabber tribe to take the advantage. I was happy to see Tine getting the first boot in Survivor All-Stars.

Not my favorite season, but pretty close. The had cool challenges and good contestants, even though Jerri drove me crazy!

You people whine too much about it being fake, the cast are fakes, not the place their stranded in.

I'll be honest with you, this show peaked with this cast. There will be no other cast that'll match the charisma and the good looks that this cast had. 2 is the best, even better than 1. I miss Jeri's bitchiness and Alicia's fingerpointing.

I think that its pretty funny that all of these "reality" TV shows are complete fakes! Research it, and find out. Parts of the show is written. Think about this: there is 60 minutes in the show. Yet they shoot hours of it. The producers purposley cut out scenes to make thier own "story" of what is happening. Terrible show, but at least it isnt degrading women like Joe Millionaire.

Never seen an episode of Survivor, never will. I think it's stupid.

I guess CBS doesn't pay attention to this site. If they did, they would notice that a year later, Survivor 2 still ranks in the top 10 in reality shows, and would try to recreate what happened heer. Survivor 5 looks like it will come close, but Survivor 2 is still the best one so far.

I look forward to Survivor night each Thursday. The pace is fast and keeps my interest all season!!

Survivor 1, Survivor 2, Survivor 9,999 - who cares? These shows are created for a seriously voyeuristic brain-dead audience. But then again what would you expect from a country that gave us "real life" TV shows such as OJ Simpson? It's bad enough we have to have these "Reality TV" (now there's an oyxmoron if I ever heard one) shows, but to set it here in Australia and burden MY country with it, oh God, shoot me now! Actually, I quite hope they DO make a Survivor 4 with the twist being that there is NO Survivor. Now that WOULD be worth watching!

Before I watched this one, I was getting sick of the rest of my family being obsessed with the first one. But I watched the first episode of Survivor II:Outback, and got hooked. A great show. However, it looses one star for it's annoying product placement.

Survivors 1 and 2 were much better. The blood drinking turned me off! That was gross! Glad that Silas and Lindsey have been booted off. Sad to see Clarence go. Cheering for Ethan to win it all!!

Same old, same old...it get's boring real fast. Reality TV is just a trend that will vanish soon...hopefully. Because I can't stand to watch these "survivors" use their 15 minutes of fame every where I look...it's like you can't change the channel without seeing a Survivor castaway on a talk show, teaching people how to cook or trying to market off another product...it's sickening.

With this show, once was enough!

I love Survivor!Itz da best reality tv show yet! but i really hated to watch that bitch Jerri whine about everything, she probably ruined everyones time in the outback.

Who could have predicted half of the things that happened in the last Survivor? Massive floods, wind storms, out of control forest fires, Michael's accident, that idiot chef Keith who kept cooking too much rice. There is no way to predict what happened on that show. That is the great thing about these shows. Although they may be somewhat similar in the end, they are never completely predicable. The only problem with this show is they can't keep uping the danger level forever. The third survivor will be in Africa, and I think the fourth is the Amizon, and how much more dangerous can you get than the Amizon. Eventually, they are going to run out of locations.

The show has pointless competitions, boring dialouges, and worst of all its FAKE. Not much reality here.

Lets face it. Reality TV is whats IN, and it's gonna stay IN for quite awhile. You wanna know why? Because it's not FAKE, it's relateable, and it's interesting.

Pardon me? Survivor AKA a pathetic show with poor editing asking for everyones attention. I do see alot of morons around worshipping this show like God, and I have many great reasons to laugh at them. I know on the surface, people may think this is a real intersting show, but if u go deeper, youll find it not. One Episode, 60 minutes, 3 days multiply by 15 hours of shooting cut down to only one hour, the producer will only take those interesting things i.e conflicts, people behaving badly and so on, and show it to the audience, who havent notice it. The producer is only being manipulative just becuz he wants to creat some real 'drama'. And furthermore, what so special about being on that show, dun get me wrong, im not jealous or anything, but it seems like people are joining the show not for the money or adventure but for the fame, in which i dun consider them as celebrities, i only consider them as normal human being like u and i. Its a show which cannot disguise itself well to the public and thats why i never watch a second of that show.

Worst show ever.

survivor 2 was so much better than the first one. the people in the final 4 all deserved to win and they were much more likable than the first show. I am glad tina won because she deserved it. survivor is the best reality show ever!!!

I admit it. I watched the first one. Hey I was curious. But the second one? I mean c'mon. Once is enough for anyone to see people eating rats. Personally the second one was just a little too fake and redundant!

Same crap as the first one, it's equvallent to wrestling. And the worst part is that all the bad people gang up on the nice or good people, so in the end all you have left are the scum trying to out back stab each other. We get enough of that here, never mind make a game show out of it.

I have no Idea why I like survivor so much, perhaps it's the idea of putting completely unique people on a secluded area to see how well they cope with the land and themselves to find the sole survivor. Of course it could just be seeing all these cute and really likable girls, lol. Actually both intrigue me, also, another thing drives me to watch this, the discovery of what traits it takes to really survive.

Wow! I really cant believe that I wasted bout 30 hours of my life watching both Season 1 and Season 2. I finally realised that this is a ugly Backstabbing TV show. People are rewarded with monney and 15 minutes of fame by backstabbing. Furthermore, I find it stupid of many people worshipping this show and wanting to be in it. Adventure is good, but backstabbing is horrible. But now that im smarter, when the third installment is out, I definately not watching this show again.

Wha't's with all the backstabbing and lying?the producer purposely place a hunter and a vegitarion in the same "tribe" so as to create drama. People are soooo stupid to take part in it and get manipulated by these producers and get money and 15 minutes of fame in return. This is definately the MOST OVERRATED show in TV history

I THINK IT IS A COOL SHOW!!!

As a fan from the beggining, I'm looking forward to Survivor Africa coming in the fall. The success of such a show is a wake-up call to network execs. Basically, viewers are tired of the endless Friends and Will & Grace clones that have polluted TV screens throughout most of the mid to late '90s. Survivor 2 and it's predecessor are a welcome change, a break from fantasyland that pits team against team and person against person in the attempt to win the million dollar prize. Of course, you can't take Survivor too seriously. After all it is just a TV show that happens to be fun, creative and original. Now what's wrong with that?

The couch potatos who watch this show need to get a life of their own. Think about it: If you watched all the episodes of Survivor I and II you spent 30-plus hours (approximately a day and a half!!) getting worked up watching the staged lives of people in a completely controlled, unnatural, setting. Get out and try and live a life of your own people!

i love this show soooo much...i wasn't into the first one...but i started watching it and i fell in love with it :) i think its a good game b/c there are no rules and you can play the game however you want..i can't wait till the third one comes out!!!!!

The Survivor 1 was more realistic, as it usually is with originals. Being Asian, rice is our staple food. It is sad to see even a professional chef cook rice so terribly! A suggestion -- to avoid wastage of perfectly good supplies, why not demonstrate how it's done before they actually embark on such 'adventures'. It's not like they haven't been guided in other, certain stuff, as well!

I tried it for 15 minuets I really did not particularly care if anyone got off the island all you can see is how greedy and nasty some people can be.

The people they selected as a whole are very plastic and fake. The only people left that I'm pulling for are the farmer from Kentucky and Elizabeth in that order. The others are either honorless sneeks or self-centered posers. The worst is Jeri, vote that venomous snake off the planet... Ding dong the bitch is dead! Now I can up my rate to a 5, I love this show.
