So a couple of Rate-it-all folks have rated the actual physical location of where this coffee is stored, but I wanted to rate the coffee itself and let others on here know you don't have to live in New Orleans to get this terrific coffee.I buy mine either at Cost Plus stores or online at Cafe Du Monde's website. For those who think Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Seattle's Best Coffee and Peet's are great.... I say, you haven't tried great coffee yet, unless you've tried Cafe Du Monde's Chicory Coffee.Years ago, pre-Katrina (bless you all), I had to go to New Orleans for several business trips. They say you haven't truly been to 'naw'lins' until you've had a Beignet (French doughnut) and some Cafe Du Monde Chicory Coffee.Everyone was correct!Well, the problem was after I bought cans and cans of the stuff and packed them in my suitcase... I ran out quickly as the weeks went by and realized I was truly having coffee withdrawals. This was good stuff. What makes this coffee great is that it tastes SOOOOO SMOOTH (like buttah, baby!) No acidic taste. Smooth, creamy, velvety and rich. It will please any 'coffee guru' - no matter how you take it. The chicory root makes all the difference in the flavor. If you are cringing about what the heck chicory root is... don't. The cool part is that it has healthful benefits. It not only cleanses the body of toxins and promotes good colon and intestinal health, but helps to improve the health of your liver (good for you partiers... hiccup! - cure a hangover and repair your liver at the same time!) Whoo hoo!Anyway, as Winter approaches and you're thinking of sitting by the fire and reading your Sunday paper with breakfast, you'll truly enjoy having a cup of this coffee. And you'll be having your last brew ha ha laugh, knowing you're doing something good for your health, too! Enjoy!
