Melo is one of the best players I've ever seen. He can shoot the j and take you down low. I think the reason he is so good is because his backround virtually allowed no way out. But Carmelo made it out of the streets and unless he succeeds, he's going back. What a great player.

As a college player, he gets 5 stars. As a potential NBA player, I give him 4 stars until he proves he can play. Have you ever seen a freshman dominate the NCAA tournament the way he did? This guy SHOULD be a very decent player.

Ha ha! I just read the "Collison can take Anthony" post. What a kidder. Collison has some skills but no talent. He's gonna get abused in the league. Melo on the other hand has a shot to be something special. Not only does he have skill, but he has talent and athleticism. Collison doesn't now a thing about that.

Best freshman college player ever, and top 5 impact players ALL TIME. First and only freshman to lead a team to a national championship. Case closed. And by the way, KU fans, Carmelo only had 7 points in the second half, (with a bad back) so don't blame your loss that it was "all Carmelo." It was actually Josh Pace Craig Forth and Billy Edelin that made the difference. (Hakim's block didn't hurt either.)

I would have to say that Carmelo is an excellent player and will be a great player for the Nuggets. The Nuggets could use him... He's a great 3 man and he has talent which is hard to come by. Carmelo's got skill, I know that. But too bad he had to be the main man for Syracuse in the championship game against Kansas. Melo is a great threat with his way of thinking on the court & he seems to know how to shake off his defenders with a wicked step & nice jumpshot. He's always got a smile on on the court..which I don't know if hes using it to taunt other players or if hes just havin' fun on the court. HMM? Good player overall. I like his game.

That really sucks that he beat out KU in the Final but come on...he is good. No matter how cocky or dumb he might be he is really really good. He will be a dominant player in the NBA
