People.. I'm drinking some now.. and my friend introduced me sometime last year. The taste is full-bodied.. aromatic.. reminiscent of a 'stronger' Hennessey.. I like it. My system can easily tolerate it... so, I don't have any real complaints. However, I've noticed a very, very, very distinct difference between the 'Light' & 'Dark' versions. The 'Light' or, 'Clear' version is hands-down way, way, way, better. But, the 'Dark' version could use just a -slight- enhancing. Overall-- for the price, it's the best kept secret! CB, keep doing what you do.. but, try to find a cost-effective way to increase the pleasure of drinking the 'Dark' version.

Light, clean, and fresh. Good on ice on a summer evening. Others, like Paul Masson Grand Amber or VSOP, are better for sipping.

This has been my drink of choice for more than 30 years. I never drink anything else unless CB is not available--then I bitch that it is no CB

CB VS is a fine basic American brandy. Unique in its method of production, a mixture of potstilled and column distillation (not unlike Irish whiskey and blended Sctoch) it has a certain smoothness and depth. I also recommend that you seek out the Christian Brothers XO Rare Reserve Brandy: aged longer than the VS, blended from select barrels, it is quite smooth, more subtle, and in my opinion superior to many higher priced brandies including every VS cognac I've tried. Go get some CB VS, or especially CB XO, sit down and enjoy.

Probably the worst Brandy I have ever tasted. Does not have a subtle flavor and taste more like pure alcohol. The product is definitely not consistent; I have had very good Christian Brothers Brandys in long years past, but in the last decade they seem to have lost their quality control. I am rating them for their current product, and not for the one in years past. Come on Christian Brothers; you can do better.

Price vs taste, this one is topps.

A decent enough brandy, considering the fact that once you've tasted VS or VSOP cognac you'll find it hard to settle for the characteristics of brandy. Not trying to sound snobbish, because I always look for bargain liquors. But, true as ever, you get what you pay for. Example: tonight I tried 'Vendome Brandy', VSOP, aged 3 years, 80 proof, supposedly 'Imperial Cognac' laced in, all packaged with two brandy snifters for the special price of 13.95 (!!). It will get you drunk, but probably also sick, because a light sniff and taste will reveal the trace characteristic of vomit. I am not exaggerating. So let the buyer beware.

Not spectacular, but good, consistent quality at a reasonable price. I experiment and try just about any brandy or cognac I can get my hands on, but this is one of about 4 brands that I consider 'regular' for me.

Consistant good taste at a reasonable price.

Attn I have a bottle of Christian Bros Brandy that has to be 30 years old. How would I find out really how old this bottle is? It still has the red tariff lable still unbroken. The bottom of the bottle says 84 L circled and 82. 92503 6 Please be so kind as to help me find how old this bottle is. Thankyou and a Mery Christmas and a Happy new year.

Christian Brothers Brandy is a smooth almost fruity brandy which a hint of smokey flavor. It’s great taste I think is somewhat contributed to by the fact it is aged in oak barrels and made in small batches. It is rather pricey, I paid almost ten dollars for the bottle I bought, but to me it’s well worth it.
