Another example of rappers glorifying a horrible liquor making it trendy with all the people sitting at a bar chocking down this distilled piss in a bottle while talking about how "smooth" and "rich' it is. Yeah whatever. It is harsh, and the flavor just really ain't anything to write home about. But if it style your looking for, this will take care of you, and take care of your wallet as it isn't "that" expensive. Serve it to friends, or how ever you plan to do it, you are probably going to mix or cut it with something else anyways, it doesn't really matter.

Nothing special...but I like it with hypnotiq.

Very average drink with strong aftertaste. Better use for cooking or for coctails mixing than for drinking straight.

I prefer Bache over Henessey anyday. Bache is less expensive and tastes better http://www.bache-gabrielsen.com/usa

I think the VS tastes like a cat's piss! It's all the money worth to spend a little extra on getting the VSOP instead. That one is much better :-) You can easyly serve the VS at a wedding where most of the guests wont notice what theyre drinking anyways, but if youre sitting with some friends enjoying a coffee and cognac after dinner, the VSOP is just fine as long as your friend arent cognac connesseurs, which only few people are anyways ;-) I wouldnt even pull out the XO for normal friends or family cause they cant tell the difference they just might recognize the XO and go ohhh, but if you tell them that VSOP is a better one, most would believe you On a normal evening in front of the TV with a good movie and a coffee and cognac in each of my hands, I would choose the Hennessy VSOP out of the 19 different cognacs I have, where of the 8 of them are different Hennesseys :-) Once in a while (but not very often) Id take my Braastad XO or Renault Carte Noire or the unknown Moyet VSOP, as they are all in a reasonable price level and with a good taste and odour. If the only cognac-connesseur friend I have visit me, I would of course enjoy one of the better ones with him e.g. the Hennessy XO, but not even he would taste the difference to the Paradis or Timeless though he would enjoy very much to try them, knowing what he was drinking :-)

Definitily the best VS cognac in that price range but not even comparable with VSOP or Fine de Cognac. And not that most expensive is best, but xo rules!!!!I hope to, at some point of my life, try a sip of that legendary Hennessy Timeless!!!!

The smoothness has changed since the 70's and early 80's and now lacks the quiet velvetiness it once had. Still quite nice and I prefer over the VSOP.

Not really a straight drinking cognac, although it won't hurt you if you do - like cheaper brandies that burn your guts out. Courvoisier VS is a much better drinking cognac, but more expensive. Hennessy VS is perfect for a B & B or other classy cocktail with a cognac base. The VSOP (next level up) is smoother and easier to drink on its own (which I do).
