Knob Creek is the best to me period. I understand everyone has different tastes and some may prefer one to another. But that being said anyone who can actually find fault with this is either A) Really bored and just feel like leaving comments on a website or B) Know nothing of good Bourbon

strong, bold, clean taste. Doesn't seem to have a very full, well balanced taste though. I remember tasting more alcohol than anything else. probably one of those whiskies that takes a lil getting used to for some like me.

A good Bourbon but not great. A Bit rough around the edges and not a very good value. I can name 5-6 Whiskeys I would drink before asking for a Knob Creek. Elijah Craig is better at better price point, Makers is by far better and I'd sooner drink Boring Crown Royal than Knob.

"It is over-priced. It's all about marketing! Tastes identical to Jack Daniels and Old Grand Dad"

it may well be overpriced..a lot of things are.

i found knob creek to be very good and desirable. more robust (and expensive) than say..weller s.r. and bolder than elijah craig certainly with a stronger finish - spicy and buttery.

but i found eagle rare s.b. more complex all around and more pleasurable to drink - at the same price, if i remember corrrectly.

I certainly wouldn't reject a glass of Knob Creek, but it isn't my favorite bourbon. I prefer Wild Turkey 101 if I want a high volume Bourbon, while Makers Mark is superior to me in overall drinkability.

I just tried my first bottle of Knob Creek and I was totally impressed with it's bold complex flavors. I felt it was a very smooth bourbon with a lot of aroma. Truthfully I can't imagine that this bourbon wouldn't stand out as impressive to any boubon connoisseur. My private stock will be holding several bottle of Knob Creek in the very near future. Outstanding bourbon! Hermanski

Great bourbon in fact I'm sippin' some right now. I usually keep a chaser of coke with me now and then, but tonight I'm using Mt. Dew. I will say this is great not only is KC a smooth and tasty bourbon but chasing with the Dew is a small slice of heaven. Of course this might just be me but I will say KNOB CREEK is one of the best bourbons out there coming from someone who quit JD and all other cheap ass whiskeys at 18 because they led to poisoning now but now at 28 for the forst time I'm sampling every fine bourbon and scotch whiskey out there no matter wat the price, and this one is far one of the best. And for the guy who said it's from Tenn. no dude its KY. Thank You.

Shared a bottle of this with a couple other bourbon drinkers and we all marveled at the flavor (rich and complex), the smoothness and the lack of a lingering aftertaste. A superb sippin' bourbon.

I used to be a Jack Daniels drinker..for 30 years..but JD is is not what it used to be. Their Single Barrel remains excellent, however, but quite expensive. I started dinking Makers Mark, which is quite good and recently graduated to Knob Creek. KC is much stronger than Makers Mark, is 9 years old and is resonably priced. It is a superb whiskey and a superb value. Makers is my regular whiskey and Knob Creek is always on hand for more special occasions. A 5 Star WHISKEY.

Jim Beam Brand's second-best effort, in my opinion. It's a complex, tasty, and all-around top-notch bourbon. The test of good bourbon is this: can you drink it neat? This you can. It's got some bite to it, and could stand to be a bit smoother, but you do need to try this. Knob Creek is the source for the water uses in distillation, and not coincidentally is the stream Abraham Lincoln grew up beside. If you haven't tasted Knob Creek, you don't know much about American Greats. IF you don't know who Abe Lincoln was, ditto. Jim Beam Brand's best in my opinion is Jim Black, which is a slight bit more affordable and very true to the Bourbon style. But you can't miss Knob Creek. That would be a sin.

treat yourself to this bourbon when you get the chance. it has a great flavor and no foul aftertaste. i have had other whiskeys and bourbons of the same strength that make me gag - not this one. A+

An OK bourbon at the most, cannot compare to some of the better ones on the market (Blanton's being #1, Woodford Reserve for a great everyday sip). Something about all the bourbons this distillery produces is the sharp, almost sour harshness. Not great, better than some.

Knob is an without a doubt, one of the finest bourbons avaiable on the market. You will pay more for it, but it is bold, yet smooooooth as it gets and has no after taste. Great aroma and worth the price if you enjoy good bourbon.

My favorite. A little splash of spring water to open up the flavor, and sip away on the patio.

This is the definition of a southern style whiskey. Brings out the oak nuances and some other complex flavors. But more importantly evokes feelings of sitting by a still somewhere in Kentucky with the good ol' boys!

Decent stuff. I like Bakers and Wild Turkey better. I find this stuff a little harsh going down.

I ordered a shot of this at a local loser tavern. Wow. Excellent. Very smooth for an affordable whiskey.

I have only had one bottle, but I truly enjoyed it. I won't go into hint of chocolate with a touch of hickory, because my tastebuds are not that refined. Nevertheless, I know what I like and I liked this. It was smooth, which I often equate with Jim Beam, yet it had substance to it. There was strong flavor and character without being harsh, which is how I often think of Jack Black (no, not the actor). I bought the bottle of Knob Creek in a grocery store (still can't get over that) in Omaha. They buyer for the store was praising Knob Creek while dissing Jack Daniels for dropping to 40% (because that is what their customers want. Hello, seems the Republican Party is not the only master of spin in America). Anyways, the Knob Creek was about $20. or so. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I have seen it in Florida for $28. to $33.

Smells of oak, molasses and leather, put some in your mouth and chew it and you can taste choclate, vanilla and carmel. One of the most underated small batch bourbons out there. Stands up to bourbons at 3 times the cost. OUTSTANDING

Harsh smell; what's THAT all about? Harsh goign down... a little too strong all around. This is in NO way the best bourbon. Elijah Craig, Gentleman Jack, hell just about anything but Beam is better... having said that, there's no need to go overboard. It IS bourbon, and fairly normal if you, I dunno... water it down or something...

This is a wonderful sipping whiskey. I usually drink the 1.75 liter George Dickel, which is smooth enough for a very pleasant drink. This one is like sipping brandy. Whenever it goes to $20 @ BevMo, we buy a case and sip it over a year. We were reared on Old Crow and still love it for a mixed drink or with soda, but Geo.D and Knob Hill beat all for simple coddling in your glass over debates about politics and books..

A great whiskey, either for drinking straight or mixing with coke, or ginger for that matter... won't leave much of a hang-over. But then again who can afford to drink enough of Knob Creek to get a hang over from it? You see it is not really a good value for the money. For the money, value-wise, you're better off with Makers, Jack, or old Jimmy Old Crow. Yesser, get 'er dun...

Extremely overated, but good nonetheless. Proof that a good whiskey CAN come from the same folks who produce the underaged, uninspiered swill they have the gall to tag with "Jim Beam"'s name...
