Before, we did 2 cruises with RCL, but we wanted to find a cheaper way to cruise, but now we know it better and we will spend more money for RCL and have a nice ship and clean, comfortable cabins.

Unfortunately, Carnival decided to set sail to our Western Caribbean and Mexico destinations even though a hurricane was churning in the Gulf of Mexico. Our Ocean View cabin's windows were boarded up almost immediately. All of the floor shows were cancelled because of the violent rocking on all of the decks. The swimming pool was a small wading pool and dirty. The Celebration had a few planned activities, but many were overcrowded with limited seating. The best part were the full-course meals in the seated dining room. The wait staff offered excellent service and the varied menu was extensive. Please note that the cruise line advertises that a food buffet is open 24 hrs. However, most of the food service closes by early evening. The only food offered 24 hours is pizza. And that is not always made fresh nor hot. The Celebration is one of Carnival's older ships and it shows its wear. There was lots of visible rust and flakey paint. The Casino was the brightest aspect of our cruise. I loved the atmosphere, the alert waitstaff, and the gala neon lights. We never made port or partaked of any of the excursions. We anchored in Cozumel just long enough to allow our seasick passengers to disembark and fly back to Houston. I have already made reservations for our next cruise---on Royal Caribbean's new Rhapsody of the Seas. No more Carnival for me.
