Hilary doesn't need to be such a ............ in the movies and music she has done.

OK first of all Miss hilary is better.com maybe you need to get a hold of yourself because you don;t know anyone here and you don't know if there prettier then her of can sing better so you better watch yourself before you go comenting on people of you don't even know them! So there you go. Anyway I used to love Hilary so much......until she went anericix(cant spell it sorry) she was beatuiful until she thought she was to fat. SHe was alot of little girls role models and now they want to grow up like her. She had a good singing voice and I loved Lizze MaGuire but she went super-skinny on us.

Hilary Duff was okay when she did Lizzie McGuire and Lizzie McGuire only. I've seen the show, it was okay at best. It doesn't really deserve all those ripoff shows trying to copy it, though. The supporting actors should get the credit, though. They were far better actors and had more interesting characters than Duff. Lizzie McGuire became a big hit, and Hilary was swept up into the world of fame. So she started singing. That, I believe, is her biggest mistake. She doesn't write her own songs, nor do any of her songs have any variety. They're basically the same thing just with different words and to different music. Always about some crush and a boy. Once you've heard one, you've heard them all, and even then, you're likely to forget it in a day if you're not a Duff fan. Duff's later acting jobs have been substandard and forgettable. (I can barely recall the titles of the movies she's been in) Her movies have been cheesy or just plain silly, her acting has not improved since Lizzie McGuire. Hilary Duff's career relies too much, if not completely, on the success of Lizzie McGuire. If it wasn't for that one show, she would have no career at all. Her current one is flailing at best now, with competetors like Lindsay Lohan and as her current fanbase grows older and moves on to bigger and better things. Hilary Duff was a one-hit wonder. Lizzie McGuire was a hit, (but only because of the preteen appeal) and now she's fizzled out. Her time has passed. If she had just stuck to acting TV shows, she could've done better. But she tried to take on too much. Just because you're popular, doesn't mean you can sing, girl. And to the rest of you, stop this silly blamming of each other. We are here to give our own personal opinions, not berate those of others.

Hilary Duff isn't a bad actress but she's not really good either. Her first album was OK but then in her second album all the songs sound the same because she's always yelling really loud in the chorus. I don't have anything against her but the songs on her second album are just not my type of songs.

Hilary came into our TV world as the preppy and popular Lizzie McGuire, and sure, all the mom's would let there 5-10 year old's watch her, because, hey, she has a good image and she's cute. Then, she turns into a singer, and we all think, good grief, another Britney. Frankly, she has a better singing voice than Britney, and her image is definetely cleaner, but what about quality? Her songs have catchy tunes, and some have good messages, but is she really fit to be up against such singer/actresses like Mandy Moore for instance? Her newer movies, ie: Cheaper By THe Dozen, Raise Your Voice, The Perfect Man, etc, lack in quality. Cheaper by the Dozen was a family movie in which she was a secondary character, Raise Your Voice was a tear jerker, and The Perfect Man is a chick flick. Of course, not a bad resume, and granted she is fairly good looking and popular. Because of those looks however, I have to listen to my guy friends that are between the ages of 15-19 go on about how hott she is and what a good personality she has. My one concern is...I DON'T SEE IT!!! I don't get it! She gets so much media hype, and yet, she is no more talented than Mandy or Christina or Lindsay, or even Britney for that matter. I'm not one for teeny bopper actresses that suddenly come on the scene and think they're all that, but overall, I have nothing against Hilary personally, she is just not my type of actress/singer. I'll always have more respect for Mandy. That was an extremely long rant and I don't know how I managed to say all that intelligent stuff, but again, nothing against Hilary personally, just not a favourite.

She was ok in Lizzie McGuire. I've had to watch it a few times when I was babysitting. It seems that all she does in the show is trip. Her facial expressions annoy me to no end. But hey, at least she doesn't try to act like a diva.

Despite all the criticism, she has some talent and yes, she has popularity due to her looks, but hey, after all, the image is basic in the TV and movies.

This is to MoreMaturethanHaters comment. Actually, it doesn't take a lot of talent to rise to fame as Hilary Duff has done. For this girl, all it took was big boobs, blond hair, a pretty face, lots of money and people to write music for her. But, when your fans are shrieking, whining ten-year-olds, that's all you need isn't it? Hilary Duff hasn't got any talent. You really don't need any in America. Avril Lavigne has talent, originality, and a clear voice. Only ignorant people who haven't even heard Avril Lavigne's songs could say Hilary Duff is better. Sure, Hilary Duff is pretty. She had her own disney channel show. Whoop-dee-doo. Her movies are all about the same thing, and her acting skills are pathetic. ZERO talent here.

I do not see a lot of her stuff since it is aimed at teenagers on down.Since I am the mother of teenagers I have seen some things she is in. She is okay at best. Her acting is average,nothing special. her singing is okay with the help of the studio machine magic. Will she cross over and remain an adult star for years to come?

Well let's see...She was ai-ight on Lizzie McGuire (of which I've watched all the episodes) I have to say...even though her voice is a little too high-pitched...and then sometimes her voice is slightly computer generated (which sounds kind of cool) I've heard some of her joints on the radio (if they are hers...whoever wrote them)and they're pretty decent. Especially the song called Fly-that sounds ai-ight (esp. if she wrote it)At least it sounds better than Avril Lavigne's songs and frankly I think Avril's jealous, otherwise, she woulda kept her mouth shut about Hilary!

Hilary is the one of the greatest teen pop starts there ever was. I Love her and respect her mostly because look at the way she dresses. My fave movie by her at the moment is A Cinderella Story but I'm not dissing her or anything but i dont think it wud of got as far without Chad in it. ;-). I remembered the 1st time i saw her on TV was on Lizzie Mcguire..during that time,i so dislike her..but till the movie A Cinderella Story,it totally changed my thoughts of her..after watching that movie,i totally 'fall in love' with her..n i cant stop listening to her latest musics n rewatching her movieS again n again..well,she proved me wrong from the beginning..she's excellent!
