This place is a dump, there is no beer served and the seats are uncomfortable. Also it feels like they have no air conditioning because it was hot as hell in there during the game I went too.

loud and exciting

The RAC is one of the top five arenas to go see a college basketball game. The team may not be great, but that has nothing to do with the atmosphere of the RAC. It is so loud and you are right on top of the court. The noise though isn't anything new, when Rutgers used to play in the College Ave gym, it would get so lound paint chips would fall off the cieling. Ask any visitor to the RAC, it is intimidating, especially seeing and hearing a deafening crowd of red shirts in the stands.

This arena turns a mediocre team into a great one. Rabid NJ (NY/Philly-hybrid) fans give the Scarlet Knights a huge edge. The fans are right on top of the action - opposing players feel as if they're in a valley of RU fans.

As an RU fan, I will be the first to admit that the school's athletics are subpar. Despite the constant disappointments, the RAC remains one of the loudest and inspiring arenas in the country.

Though it is shaped like a trapezoidal prism, the place inside is not symmetrical all around. I saw one home game on TV and I was unimpressed for its seating. Why is it lopsided- more seats- on the right part of the court (where you face the R in the center)? Also there should be more seats- 10K is enough.

The RAC is sooooo deafening. You can barely hear the referee's whistles during the game!!! What a great atmosphere, yet it is so underrated throughout the country
