Picture is better than I expected. Sound, while somewhat thin, is also better than expected. Setup is easy and intuitive. Downsides are: 1) The TV cannot be used while moving, probably due to a need for digital buffering. 2) cannot change to a channel that is not set up by the initial scan. 3) no volume on remote. 4) One must use the supplied external antenna. The antenna that is built into the TV is the same length, but for some reason simply does not work. We have 8-10 channels that can be received by the external antenna, but only 1 is received by the built-in antenna, probably due to a ground plane issue or perhaps something to do with the magnetic base of the external antenna. Since I bought this TV for emergency use and for camping, use of the external antenna or an amplified digital antenna that uses a wall wart or homemade battery supply should suffice well. With respect to not being able to charge the internal battery from a car source, i.e.12 volts, I noted this TV uses a 9 volt power supply. There are car adapters that will reduce the 13.5 volts from a car source down to 9 volts; one of these should work to charge the internal battery. The source should be filtered tho.

Very clear reception with rabbit ears attached. We need a TV to take with us when hurricanes hit area and there is no power for many days. This is what I actually bought it for. We get quite a few local TV stations very clearly. It is exactly what I needed.

This is the best $100 I have spent in a long time. The picture is totally awesome. Very close to what comes in on my 32 inch digital. Best of all you can take it anywhere. It's not only guys who love SEC football. I have already recommended to several friends.

tv picture is perfect. I've connected directly to cable and all my digital channels are there. Couldn't be happier

The Axion unit took eight hours to charge out of the box, just like the instructions said. Upon power-up it found 4-15 channels in this market (Rochester, NY) including one HD radio channel. I live approximately 10 miles from the television transmitting towers. Two miles from the county airport. The Axion worked better with the car antenna provided. There was no protective sleeve supplied to protect the unit and no locking feature to disable the power switch. I haven't tried it in a vehicle yet, although all of these little tv's say you cannot watch them on the move as the signal cannot lock. All in all this Axion seems to be performing as advertised and in a crowded product set, it seemed to match up with most of the like type units for under $100 USD.
