The scan picked up all of the digital stations in the Chicago area and they come in crystal clear. Occasionally, I may have to move the TV a little or extend the antenna to pick up a station. The TV is so light and can be carried around. I only have to plug it in about once a week to charge it. The only thing I can barely complain about is that the on/off switch is small and kind of awkwardly located. The design on the whole is very slick looking. The sound is good too. I find myself having to turn it down to about volume number "10" since I use it in the bedroom and don't want to disturb the neighbors.

I had a little trouble at first getting it to scan for channels -- I kept getting the dreaded "no signal" message -- but that was my fault and once I figured it out, there's been no further problem. Two things I noticed in other reviews that I don't understand or agree with. One is that it can operate on regular batteries. I wish that were true, but I don't think so. As far as I can tell it only works on the battery that's built in. I certainly don't see anywhere that regular batteries would go. The other thing is that once you scan for channels you can't scan again. That's not true. I've scanned more than once. In fact, if you use it for OTA channels and for cable you have to scan at least twice. (I don't know if you can do it using the remote, but you can do it using the controls on the set itself.) I've never seen or operated any other small digital TV, so I have no idea how it compares to them, but I'm more than satisfied with this one!

Small, light, long life battery, and a great picture. Just what you need as a part of Storm, or other power loss situation.

I received the TV and it was exactly as I expected. The reviews that I had read really lead me in the right direction. I originally thought the TV would play while moving in a vehicle. It clearly states that it is intended for stationary use only and not in a moving vehicle. Which is understandable since you have to search for the rays. The sound is fine for the price and what you would expect for such a lower price TV. The TV is really cute and we are able to get an Excellent picture. Read the directions and follow them in order to get the reception. It is easy to set up if you follow the directions. I really like it!

I got this tv for camping and long car rides (needs inverter because no car plug made for this item) and about a week after it arrived my power went out. I whipped out this little sucker and it worked perfectly. I got about 15 channels on the air setting and in hindsight could have even ran my cable to it. Some of the channels i picked i don't even think i get on my digital cable. A few were some kind of Mexican radio channels, which is weird because i live in Indiana. It lasted a couple of hours until the power came back on, so it seems to have a decent battery life. Plus, i like the fact that it has both an internal rechargeable battery and can use alkaline batteries. The screen is very clear and the speakers can get really loud and stay pretty clear considering their size. Just make sure every time you use the tv you search the channels again. If you don't you will not have as many and they will have weaker signals.
