These DVD players are fantastic. They look a little bulky, but the performance is out of this world. I installed them at home in my driveway with regular hand tools with no problem. The directions are not detailed at all, but you can get the picture if you sit back and think about before you go cutting wires. Being able to let the kids watch seperate movies, touch screen controls and a remote for each player, and wireless headsets for this kind of money is insane. You can't even get features like this in a factory system costing 3 times as much. So far, my whole family has been very satisfied.

please pay more for a name brand item. the wireless head phone interfere with each other so i had to buy plug in. the audio jack is not the best and i had to play with the plug to get that going. they sent me two head sets for the drivers seat. i did not think it mattered but you can not load a DVD into the passengers DVD player unless the seat is reclined. the remotes looked used and do not work. they also don't tell you the type of batterers it needed. You cant access the media card options or the USB options with out the remote so those features are useless. Finally i did try customer service they do not reply to any questions and if you try returning with any of the packing materiel missing they will not except. so thanks to my kids I'm stuck with this garbage.

I bought these in April after doing a lot of comparison shopping. Paid $150 to have them installed and both appeared to work just fine right after installation. One month later, we took our first road trip since installing the monitors and only the driver's side monitor would work. Thinking a cord had come loose or a fuse had blown, I took the vehicle back in and had the installer look at the system. Everything was hooked up and it was getting power, meaning no fuse had blown. Checked the driver's side monitor again and it was still working. Went on a road trip again last weekend and now the driver's side doesn't work either. The installation people think the switch is broken internally. Either way, I'm stuck with an expensive and broken product because of Amazon's return policy. I'm going to have to pay someone money to un-install the system and then pay to ship it back to Amazon, only to receive a maximum of 50% of my money back.

I recently turned in my 2007 Lincoln MKX off lease. This truck came with free Lincoln Dealer installed headrest DVD players - not something I ever thought I would want. After having them for 2 years, I could not conceive having a new vehicle without DVD's. However since these were free, I could not believe how expensive an option these Dealer Installed options actually were and the impact they had on my lease payment. It was bad enough Ford actually RAISED the price of their vehicles (in an economic climate where no one is buying) but the residual value was so little that I was actually paying almost $1400 for the DIO dvd's just to give them back at the end. SO I BEGAN looking for an alternative. Since I only have one child, I really didn't need to get TWO dvd headrests. BUT I DO have two cars. I thought perhaps I could buy one set of matching players and split them between cars - makes sense to think that these would work independent of each other... AND THEY DO!!!! I am VERY happy with this set. Installation was absolutely SIMPLE, especially in my 09 MKX - the DVD was up and running in about 15 minutes, wired neat and hidden and hooked up through both the wireless headphone AND FM Station on the radio. My 5 year old was absolutely thrilled to find out that not only did my new truck now have DVD movies again, but that Mommies MKZ now also had a movie player in it. While the install in the Z took a bit longer (all related to Lincoln design) it was still very simple and only took about 30 minutes. So now BOTH cars have excellent quality DVD Headrests with wireless headphones (in a nice semi-hard case), remote controls (which can fit nicely into the headphone case) and touchscreen. End result, two leased cars with Headrest DVD's for less than 1/3 of the dealer cost, two happy parents, and one VERY happy 5 year old. Quiet rides down the open road continue for our family. YAY!! Excellent quality, well made alternative to OEM. Save the money and buy these great DVD's.

We purchased these in mid-May for our 2007 Sienna, and really like them. We installed them ourselves, and there are a couple of things you should know up front: 1. The cables run through the headrest prongs. You have to have access through the seat to grab them and run them to a power source. The Sienna has a plastic skidpad on the back of each front seat, so I was able to reach through the side and grab the cables. If you don't have that, getting the cables may be tricky. 2. The provided cables have power and ground, but they are "pigtails" (exposed wires at the end of the cables) and no 12V adapter is provided with the set. We found a "Banana Jack" 12V adapter through which they could be threaded at RadioShack for $10 each, which we could easily plug into our 12V outlets in the van. Installation was simple, aside from those minor caveats. The picture quality is good, and we really liked the wireless headphones provided (I wasn't sure they were wireless from the product description listed). Note that the touch screen does not allow you to select DVD menu items in what you are watching, but instead give you the players' function menus, such as setting up the FM output channel and whatnot. The remote also needs to be pointed at the headrest for it to work, which isn't ideal, but isn't a big problem either. For the money, these players were everything we really wanted. No potential projectiles in the event of a crash, and easy to remove when we're not on a long trip. Also easy enough to install for two non-electricians or car audio/video experts.
