I originally bought this toy for my very young grandchildren (3 &1-1/2} in Aug. 2008. They have both had great fun with it over and over again. If you assemble it correctly there is a drip pan that collects extra bubble liquid. I can't understand why people say it doesn't make bubbles. Are they waiting for the machine itself to make the bubbles? You have to rub the bubble liquid over the grid with the brush and that makes great streams of bubbles. Actually, the only implement that really works well is the brush. The rest are just window dressing. When they both want to play I use a small kitchen pastry brush as an extra brush. It is noisy but that's good because it reminds you to turn it off. I am buying it again today because the on/off switch doesn't work anymore. Probably my fault as I left it out in all kinds of weather. We didn't have too much tipping problem but, then again, I don't leave them alone in the yard. I could see yong children tipping it over if playing alone.

but it is very difficult for little fingers to use all the "food". The only ones my 4 year old can use are the spatula and the skewer. If you try to pick up the other foods you pop the bubble solution out. the fan runs good and it even lasted out in the rain by accident one night. She is enjoying it so i guess that is what matters! The 13 year old even enjoyed playing with her!!

We used this bubble machine for 2 summers and it performs great and is still working. We use the bubble wands that come with the set and any other bubble wands laying around and all produce tons of bubbles. Our baby is now 15 months and she can even make bubbles with it. I have used other bubbble machines at various friend's homes and nothing beats this bubble maker. We absolutely love it.

This product was originally a gift to my grandson - he has enjoyed it immensely - in fact, when he finally wore the first one out my daughter got another one and then told me to look on E-bay for good prices. So this is the 3rd one we have and old and young both enjoying it immensely.

This is a great toy, I bought it last summer for my 2 year old and just got it out again this summer and it still works great. Previous bubble toys have only lasted a season.

This one is more interactive with him actually making the bubbles happen after marinating the kebab rather that just pumping out bubbles. Works best with store bought bubble mix but will also work with detergent and water.

Gave four stars for educational as he has learned some things such as not to look into the fan as you cook or you will get an eyeful of bubble mix and to hold steady as you push on switch or it can tip. Not much I know but to watch my chunky little 3 year old handling his toy with care so not to tip the bubble mix out is quite something.
