We needed a new roof due to a tree issue so I went on-line and found Mar Vista Roofing. I called no less than 10 roofers and I found Mar Vista Roofing to be very professional and a pleasure to speak with. All appointments were kept, all prices were established and fair. In fact Patrick, the owner saved me money on a better roof for my purpose and my budget. I loved the experience and do recommend anyone that needs a roof, give them a call...or course you can go to their site and see for yourself, they were great.

THE BEST EXPERIENCE the average home owner could have with any contractor! The owner, Patrick Farrell, promptly responded to my phone call, came for an estimate for a new roof the next day, went on the roof to measure, presented me with a proposal and estimate, and was gone within 20 minutes. As soon as I got 2 other bids and called him back, he came to the house and we scheduled work to begin 2 days later. At 7:10 a.m. thirteen (13) men descended from a huge truck and swarmed over the driveway, began unloading dozens of giant tarps, ladders, tools, backpacks - they spread out over the roof, hammering and tossing shingles, job completed by 9:30, picked up tarps and dumped debris in truck, swept yard and garage and followed up with magnetic broom for nails, cleaned neighbors' yards, and the tear-off was complete. Totally breathtaking!! At 3:00 p.m . two men in a truck delivered the shingles, lifted and stacked them on the roof. The next day, again promptly at 7:00, the next crew arrived. The new roof was completed before 2:30 p.m - Without exception the workers were polite, punctual, professional, worked steadily, answered any questions I threw at them. It's impossible to include all the details that create such a flawless operation, but I was surprised and delighted to have found this company and would recommend them highly to anyone who appreciates high quality work and top-notch administrative structure. I believe anyone from a long list of references freely provided would agree with me. I'm a happy homeowner!

I had a leak in my bathroom and the owner came by to give me an estimate. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. The guy goes on the roof and rolls his eyes and tells me that my roof is an architectural nightmare and he doesn't want to touch it. According to him my roof should have been leaking all over the place. Never mind that I've lived in this house for 30 years and never had a leak.

To top it off when I called in to his office to complain his wife/secretary was rude and I told her so. Then, get this, the guy starts calling me and harrassing me with threatening phone calls.

Avoid this psycho at all costs.
