Completely insignificant move. This was good for a few days of sports talk, but thats about it. I'm sure Rush loved the publicity though.

A 5 because I'm not a football fan and the NFL sided with some of the rottenest cats who haven'tactually been convicted of murder-Al Sharpton-who is very lucky-called this a moral victory for allAmericans.Sharpton is also THE ONLY reason the Lions have won like 3 of their last 500 games.Heand I think the late ambulance chaser Johnnie Cochran claimed the Lions refused to interview a black coach(or related to that);the Lions ended up being fined for a few hundred large....then they hire Matt Millen as GM.Nobody aside from the usual race hustlers seems to remember anything other than the quote about black quarterbacks...where's Tawana Brawley when we need her?

Absolute piffle meant to boost his own ratings. .. No one really thought he had a shot. . .ergo, the refusal of sale would stoke the fires of his moronic audience who (gasp) think that the oh-so-liberal media is out to get their messiah. This is the capitalistic market working - not a trashing job. The NFL owners are selective and don't want shareholders or owners who give either negative pub or take the spotlight away from the players. This isn't the first nor the last time a group of powerful stakeholders leveraged influence. Bowing out before things got serious should be solid evidence of how fraudulent this attempt was.The NFL season, the MLB playoffs, and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday will bury this non-story to the pit where it belongs. . .but the fans will hold it as some claim of a fixed and problematic America instead of a solid business decision done without political correctness- something Rush's fans claim they support. Only a story for morons and easily-led sheep.

For all the ruckus this has caused around here, it's not exactly big news. Celebrities are added and dropped from ownership groups trying to buy teams all the time. Sometimes it happens (Jay-Z), sometimes it doesn't (Rush Limbaugh).More to the point: I don't care.

*Sniff sniff* Is that a cheap publicity stunt I smell?

Rush Limbaugh is a heroic patriotic martyr desperately trying to save the nation from liberal homosexual traitors.Leave Rush alone!!!- Glen BeckOK, he didn't really say it, but these lame purveyors of reactionary propaganda deserve all the insults one can heap upon them.

He's gotten a ton of publicity out of it, which I think was his only intention all along. After all, he's in competition now with all his lapdog imitators, including the Pee Wee Herman of talk-show punditry, Glenn Beck.

Nothing that asshole does is very significant. Can you blame the team for refusing to play if this walking, bellowing piece of shit owned them? He recently said that SLAVERY "wasn't so bad".Too bad he can't have his fat ass shipped to calcutta to live out his days as an untouchable to get a reality lesson.

The Liberal Media and the Left have spent decades trying to brand Rush as a racist, homophobe, murderer and anything else they can think of.Should the so-called journalist who are spreading the lies and hoping somebody murders Rush keep their jobs? These hacks never bothered to fact check anything they reported about Rush, but took the time to conduct a exhaustive fact check for an SNL skit that was critical of their Lord.If Limbaugh really is a racist, why is he allowed to keep his radio show? Let me guess, the standards for radio employment are lower that that of the NFL. The same NFL whose employees are made up largely of street thugs, drug addicts, wife beaters, dog killers (and yes… racist) If Limbaugh really is a racist, why then does it take bogus quotes to “prove” that he is?Mark Steyn pointed out recently, “In this instance it’s for Limbaugh to prove the negative – an impossible task”.Sorry to disrupt the circle jerk.

Well, he kinda had this coming. His statements that were rather critical of Donovan McNabb a few years ago made him immensely unpopular with NFL players and fans alike. Given that a good portion of both the players and fans of the NFL are of African-American decent, do you want some asshole who verbally beats up on black quarterbacks as part owner of a franchise?

Given Rush's idiotic comments about black quarterbacks and Donovan McNabb a couple of years ago, it doesn't surprise me that he was dropped from the investor group seeking to buy the St. Louis Rams. He received a lot of opposition from the players union and some of the owners. As for his comments, I think he's just being a bit melodramatic. Rush should have expected this response. Had he not made those comments, I think he would have gotten through just fine. After all, most of the owners are conservatives. In my view, Rush knew exactly what he was getting into, and he went along with it anyways because he knew it would give him plenty of publicity. He also knew that this would allow him to incorporate the inevitable reaction into his broader message. It was a public relations stunt that allowed him to steal some headlines for a few days. In that case, this worked out fairly well for him.

If it wasn't for liberals on RIA, Jesse Jackson, and Communists, Glenn Beck would have bought the Orioles and moved them back to St. Louis.

According to Rush, this dissolution of a business partnership is Obama's fault, among others. He's got his personal pity party running hard on this one.

Raise your hand if you want a politically extreme radio personality representing your home town sports team.
