This new formula is awful! I purchased a box expecting the cereal I've been eating for year, and instead I got flakes that had the texture dried glue...very disappointing. Hey Post, ever heard of "If it ain't broke don't fix it? Will not buy again.

I used to love the old formula, with the thicker, heartier flakes. This new one SUCKS!

this is the best freaking cereal EVER all you idiots who think the new version sucks dont appreciate the inner beauty of the cereal. i eat this cereal 3 times a day every day and i have never ONCE not had an orgasm off it

my dad 1st introduced it to me when i was a little kid and my family and i loved it and bought it all the time, now they changed the grain to rice, and cheapend the quality, isn t it called post select for the quality thats put into , this new version sucks, go on all the other review websites for it and you'll get all the same reviews as me, change the cereal back!!!

The new formula is terrible! The new flakes completely change the entire integrity of the cereal. It's not the same cereal anymore!

If I wanted Special K with dried blueberries sprinkled in, I would buy Special K and sprinkle some blueberries in it. But I was looking for the original hearty "premium" taste of Blueberry Morning when I bought this box.

I just now stumbled across this and even though I'm a little late to the "party", wanted to add my voice to the chorus. In general I'm not a big fan of breakfast cereals, but I really loved the original Blueberry Morning too. Crispy, delicious flakes that STAYED crispy, plenty of tasty clusters of nuts with brown sugar, and of course the blueberries themselves -- an ample quantity of tiny jewels of flavor.


Now my favorite cereal is gone and what has Krap Foods given us in its place? It's been months now since I tried the new formula and I swore never again, but what I remember is that the blueberries were far fewer in number and that the packing-peanuts-disguised-as-rice-puffs turned soggy before my spoon even hit the bowl. (On second thought, those COULDN'T have been packing peanuts -- packing peanuts would stay crunchy longer . . . and would have more flavor.) Were there even any nut clusters in there? If so they must have settled to the bottom of the box, in which case they had no chance of ever being found by me.


Kraft, my advice to you is this: shrink the box if you need to, raise the price if you must, but BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULA. P.S. Oh, and fire the person whose idea this was, who I'm betting is related to the genius responsible for New Coke.

The new formula is upsetting.  If the original formula costs to much for the manufacturer to sell at the current price, how about raising the price and seeing what happens instead of replacing quality with shit.  Consumers aren't idiots and we'll pay for quality.   Kraft Foods will realize their mistake when the dust starts piling up on these boxes.

I hadn't had it in a few months so I was happy to find it at different grocery store since Stop & Shop dosen't carry it. In any case the new formula is disappointing as it's more like rice crisy's with blueberries. Bring back the original mix !

When I realized the new Blueberry Morning had those tasteless soggy rice flakes, I drove around to all the grocery stores in the area and bought all the boxes of the old Blueberry Morning that I could find. Now my stash of the good stuff is gone, and I don't know what to eat for breakfast any more!

I emailed Post and told them that I would never buy Blueberry Morning again as long as it had the soggy rice flakes in it. They mailed me back a coupon for more Post cereal. Useless!!!

I'm so relieved to see these other reviews here. I got up this morning so looking forward to a bowl or two of blueberry morning. I had bought some extra boxes on sale a while back, so it took a while before I bought one with the new recipe. It says "New Incredible Taste. Perfect Crunch!" More like "No Taste. No Crunch." Why change?

The new Blueberry Morning is awful. It's rice puff flakes with a few blueberries, instead of the crunchy grainy original. Never again, Kraft.

I just had my first bowl of the "new and improved" Blueberry Morning cereal. I have already emailed Kraft with my disappoinment and the fact I am returning the box to the grocery store and will not purchase any Post "Selects" again. I've loved this cereal for years, but no more. It's worse that rice krispies. BTW my bowl had 1 large cluster, 1 small cluster and 2 blueberries. The rest of it was the rice krispies. BAD BAD BAD I rate it ZERO but had to click at least one star.

What a disappointment the "New and Improved" version is. Both the local supermarket chains in my area have stopped selling it due to a "recent slowdown in sales" so it seams that this is more than just a minority opinion of the cereal "improved" reformulation.

Awful...new recipe is just awful. The old one had a heartiness and a nuttiness to it. The flakes were oat flakes, huge clusters of nuts and brown sugar. Tons of blueberries. The new recipe has weak flimsy corn flakes, few blueberries, and the overall heartiness is gone. Kraft is a cheap company to cut corners like this, and they have the nerve to still charge the same or more for less. I used to eat the cereal everyday...now I don't go near any of the 'healthy classics'. Don't bother!

This new recipe is horrible. I walk through the halls of the grocery store and I can't help but feel someone at Post Cereal is laughing at me as I gaze furiously at the new box. The old fond taste is all but a memory now. It haunts me and all that I have now is but a half eaten box of this lousy new recipe. Why?

Glad to see I'm not the only one upset by the change. Blueberry Morning was my favorite cereal, best tasting cereal I've ever had. Why would they change it? Did they do a test group and actually find people preferred those crummy, soggy rice flakes??? How did they manage to get a room full of people with absolutely NO TASTE for a test group?! Everyone needs to bombard Post with emails demanding they change it back!

I e-mailed Kraft about blueberry morning and this is what I received. Too bad for them since its seems like they have lost a good many of customers.

I agree with all of you. I always purchased Blueberry morning on-line. Because I was tired of nearby grocery story running out of it (although no one touches their store brand blueberry morning). Anyway, this time I had mix of old and new boxes when my order arrived. They had it sooooo good. Why they had to mess it up. It is awful! I just visited Kraft website and submitted my "disappontment". Let's bring the original one back!

I don't understand why they changed this cereal. I know it had a faithful following, and I was a part of it. The new version is like rice crispies/special K with blueberries. I don't want rice crispies/special K with blueberries...I want blueberry morning! The new blueberry morning is no good... I am so bummed out about the new recipe. My boyfriend and I bought the last we could find, but we ate all of it. Post needs to bring back the old BBM and get rid of this new rice morning soggy junk. BLAH!

I can't believe they changed the receipe. I've been eating it for so many years I've lost count. Plus my mom and sister. I just wrote to them asking them to change the recipe back. Everyone, please either write to them or post here that you are NOT happy with this change. Let's all work together to get them to change it back!!!

I wrote the company on how bad it is - guess rice is cheaper than the grain they use to include. Anyway, Post lost my 2-3 boxes a week to different brand

Me and my mother loved the old Blueberry Morning. The new kind is terrible. It tastes grainy and gets soggier faster. Why did they change it? I hope it's just a marketing ploy like New Coke or something, because that means they'll bring back the old kind! There's only one store near me that carries it, and we were afraid they'd stop, so we always bought a few boxes to tide us over just in case. But now... what's the point?

I am really upset they changed this cereal...this has been my favorite cereal for the past 2 years and now its like blueberry flavored rice krispies!! And now there's hardly any blueberries in it! I can't believe they would actually change a cereal that much and give it the same name!! They should have just created a brand new blueberry rice krispie cereal and left Blueberry Morning the way it was!

I've loved this cereal since I was a kid ... and now they've changed the recipe entirely! Why? It tastes like Rice Krispies and the blueberries are smaller and chewier. I liked it the way it was!
