If you look up BORING in the dictionary, there is John Mayer. He is also listed next to the word WIMP. He wouldn't last 5 minutes in boot camp and I'm surprised he's lasted this long in music. Do people really think his eighth grade lyric wring is 5 star? I give up on people's taste.

I never saw his talent.  He is incredibly BORING and full of himself.

He sucks.  No energy at all, which is surprising because this wimp is still young.  What kind of intensity is he going to be capable of in the future?  Writing tunes for AARP before he's 35?  His songs sound like something some disaffected junior high school student would come up with.  But, it's obvious this guy thinks he's the new Nick Drake.  Hardly.  More like "Dick Fake."

John Mayer for president!!!

I've heard people say this guy ranks alongside John Lennon as one of the all time great song writers. That's just craziness. This guy writes some of the most boring, lifeless music I have ever heard. My girlfriend once made me watch a concert video of John Mayer with Buddy Guy as a guest star. What an embarrassment!!! I could not believe how dull Mayer's guitar sound seemed next to Guy's. He also mumbled his way through the songs in an extremely annoying manner. It just sounded as if he had some strange speech impediment. Between songs they would break away to some interview footage in which John Mayer would give explanations of the really "deep" meaning of his songs. This was the most entertaining part of the video because the dialog could have been written for a Spinal Tap movie. I could not help but laugh at his moronic ramblings. I've heard of John Mayer referred to as "the biggest tool in rock", and I think that title fits him very well.

One of the better in the new generation but some of his music is boring. The songs by him that I like I realllllly like though.

A great, great songwriter. Even though I came of age with other great lyricists like John Lennon, Paul Simon, and others; I believe John Mayer ranks right there with them. Has a great ear for phrasing and its a joy to listen to him. A tremendous talent.

This man is totally awsome as a musician/writer/guitarist. I cant say enough about his performances and production material. I absolutely am facinated with his material. what else can I say!! He's so talented! Dont pay attention to andyrue, he's just a limey that still listens to early 80's pop nonsense. He's not current on his stance in the music industry *evil grin*

You have to admit this guy is extremely talented! I had to take away a star because his second album wasn't as well developed, I know John Mayer is capable of creating better.

He just puts me to sleep. But hey, at least it's not rap.

I luv JOHN MAYER sooooo much!! He's so freakin hott!!!!! But yes just saw him in concert and he was...(sigh)...really really AWESOME!!! He's the absolute best!!!! His CDs rock and all of his songs are great for people who like smooth pop/rock songs!! Also cuz he has a great voice and awesome guitar skills (plus he's single; wink wink) !!! JM is the absolute best!!

His music doesn't really do anything for me, but it doesn't annoy me either, and a lot of people are moved by it so I'll give him credit.
