Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 4

It could have been a really bad movie. I liked it enough. I liked the female Terminator, that was a cool twist they could have really messed up. It served it's purpose.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 4

The special effects and action scenes alone are good enough for me to give this movie 4 stars (and they pretty much ARE the only reasons I did). Not nearly as good as the first two films of the series. Not terrible, either. Most people that have seen it complain about what a wimp they made John Conner turn out to be, and I'd have to agree there.

I loved it. The other movies explained everything this movie is about how judgement day is inevitable, how no matter what you do fate cannot be changed. It didn't present any new ideas, it just continued the story. That's how it should have been, now I'm waiting for the part with the war between the machines and humans. This movie had one of the best endings ever in ANY movie.

Even though the female terminator was cool, it still sucked!

Personally I think this is the worst of the trilogy. I was looking forward to seeing John Connor help liberate the humans from mechanized death camps, start the war against the machines, and send people back through time before blowing Skynet to bits. Unfortunately you don't see any of that. A very complex form of a Terminator is sent through time to kill John Connor years after Cyberdine Systems was destroyed. Good ole' Arnie is sent back to protect him. I really think this one was made more for action than the story. If you've seen the other two movies, go ahead and see this one. If not, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

it runs every day on Cinemax now for some reason. Better than term 2, not as good as original. arnold typically funny as the cold terminator, except he is still good here.

The terminator chick being able to control other machines' computers like the police cars was cool but, where's the mechanical link? The steering wheel, accelerator, brake, gear selection, etc. is certainly not controled by my vehicle's computer.

i remember going to see this the very first day it came out and it was a big dissapointment. it would have been alot better if james cameron would have directed it and if edward furlong was in it.

The Terminator is back...but this time he faces a more strong terminator than T-1000.

James Cameron only directed parts one and two. The director and director of cinematography weren't up to par with the level set by part 2. The story line was weak and I can see why James Cameron didn't direct it. Had they gotten a descent script for it, I'm sure he would've directed it and it would've ended the series with being called a classic trilogy.

Didn't know what to expect with this one, but it turned out to be pretty good. If you get to thinking about all the time travel stuff too much it doesn't really add up, but hey, it's just a movie.

The worst of the 3 movies. It was lacking something, it had no real heart behind it, almost like they made it to just make it. It had a few cool scenes in it, but just didn't compare to the other T1 and T2 flicks.

I didn't expect the movie to be up to par to T2, and I think I was pretty much right. It was more humor than sci-fi doomsday action (I NEVER thought I'd see Schwarzeneggar to say "Talk to the hand", and it was pretty much as awful and funny as you'd think). The special effects were alright, but it doesn't compare to some of the other movies out right now. I wouldn't have paid full regular admission for this, not even matinee, but it was worth the $2 theater or maybe a rental.

I really wasn't impressed with this.. Ok, fantastically done action scenes with amazing special effects. And that is it really. You can tell this film is centered around Arnie and it really doesn't pay off. The script was bitty and this film was no-where near as thought provoking as the previous two. A massive disappointment.

It was alright.I liked the first one and the second one better. It did stay true to the dark we-are-all-doomed feel, though.Arnold looks great for being an old fogey!

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 2

This film begs to be put out of its misery. First, obvious budget cuts cause the entire movie to be cropped very close to the action. This gives a very unrealistic cheap feel to the movie. Second, no matter how advanced machines become, a 2003 police car still requires a driver. The actor playing John Conner is terrible, one of the worst I've ever seen, and the story pretty much leaves off where the other two did except this one has no depth. The story is one long chase scene. Try again Arnold.

Lots of action, a decent storyline, and some phenomenal chase scenes make this an entertaining movie. Claire Danes' performance is the only one that I would call strong, but who goes to see T3 for the acting? While no terminator could possibly be as bad ass as the guy from T2, there was something chilling about seeing a beautiful, emotionless terminatress prancing around. My only complaints about the movie were its blatant product placements, and the obvious influence that Arnold's political handlers had in ensuring that everything that came out of Arnold's mouth was charming, funny, or noble. All in all, pretty much what I expected - plenty of action, decent storyline, and a fast 2 hours at the theater.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines 1

t3 was a joke. Did they writers even watch the first two movies?? They butchered the storyline, and ruined the trilogy. The previous movies were serious, with some comedy...this was a comedy with bad graphics. Graphics are suppose to make things LOOK more real, not totally abstract. (see T2 idiots) I think T2 graphics were much better....and the sound....bad sound....what happened to NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE....the future isn't written???? then why the hell does J Conner have a "solemate." What a joke. This isn't another stupid "chosen one" movie, where the he is destined to glory, he just happens to be the one who saves the day in the end. He isn't a jesus figure....writters took stuff from the Matrix storyline and thrusted it into a much more complex story. T1 and T2 had a story, a good story, with significant action scenes and a plot. YES, PLOT. The amount of crap that was shoved into T3 complicated the movie, I don't even know exactly what happened. People don't need none stop action, T2 fans liked the story, not just effects. AND, the effects were actually good, not a joke. I still don't know how SKYNET was built despite the work of Dyson>>>>> In short, T3 was a comedy, with no story, no acting, no sound , and no legitimate connection to the previous movies. I have so much respect for James Cameron that I never knew.
