This tambourine is just what we were hoping for. It is about the size of a breadplate if that helps you picture how large it is...of course a bit deeper (about 1.5 inches), but our 10 month old, 30", 18 lbs doesn't have a problem grabbing it with both hands. It is also light enough that he can carry it with one hand.

The head is a little thin, so hopefully it will last for a while - if it does break I will buy another because I really like this for the kids. I can play it myself, although because of the size it is kind of tough for an adult to play it properly.

Very nicely made and looks great with a natural, unfinished wood.

This worked perfect for my grandchildren and I to practice with until we are ready for the professional tambourine. I will be buying more for the children in our church.
