This basket is extremely handy. I have to navigate a puppy gate with one hand and carry laundry with the other. Once I got this basket I took all my others to the good will. Just be careful not to overfill it, otherwise you can't hold both handles with one hand.

I love this basket! I discovered it at a friend's house and very much appreciated how easy it is to carry with one hand - just hold both handles at once. Leaves a hand free to open a door or carry some clothes on a hanger.

I have 6 of these laundry baskets and for me they are the best. My oldest basket is 21 years old and is still in great condition. You can carry one in each hand, providing you do not over fill them. My children each had one in their bedrooms to put their laundry in and carry their basket to and from the laundry room. As my children moved out we used these baskets to help move many of their things, and always they managed to keep one or two. I hope Rubbermaid does not discontinue this basket, because I do not want to own any other. I just wish they were easier to find in the stores.

I have trouble carrying big, rigid baskets, always scraping my knuckles on doorways so I thought this would be nice. I carry laundry to my basement laundry room every morning, clean out pockets, spray stains and sort it into a few bins. I do small loads so this would be a good size for me to carry them up and down the steps. It does work. However, it stays collapsed to the point that it's not very easy to fill up with items and one of the handles fell off when I took it out of the box. I snapped it back on but it falls off frequently. I ended up sticking with a more rigid basket for laundry and using this to store all of my Total Gym accessories in! It sits in the corner of my workout room and I can easily grab an attachment, do my workout and drop it back into the basket, which is help open by the other spare parts. I'm careful not to bang the metal parts around getting them into and out of the basket and it's easy to pick up and move when I clean the floor. The color is nice, too. :-)
