Recieved tv in original box and installation was fairly simple to accomplish. Tv looks great. I was disappointed with picture quality. The farther you stand back from it the better the quality of the picture, but when the tv is located in your kitchen area your standing pretty close to it. It doesn't turn on right away, it takes a little while for picture to come on. What I dislike about it most is the difference in sound levels. Level 2 is too soft and level 3 is too loud and there is no adjustment for in between levels. I'm disappointed in the total performance of the unit and I would not reccommend it to anyone. There has to be a better undercounter lcd-tv than this.

After my GPX model refused to change channels anymore, I took a chance on the Coby. (GPX is pure junk in case you're wondering.) The complaints I read about the Coby are all pretty much true. * The picture quality is poor and has a very limited viewing angle. * Sound settings are rediculous - it's either too soft or too loud, nothing in between. * cd player works well. I play mp3 disks in it, but again it's impossible to adjust the volume to a comfortable level. I haven't bothered trying a dvd, because of the poor picture and sound. * Radio reception is almost non existant as was the GPX. * Slow to warm up or transition between modes just as stated in the other reviews. * The clock on mine doesn't work. After setting several times, it just flashes arbitrary numbers. Overall, I'm disappointed. It's a little better than the GPX's in most ways - at least it works. It's good for checking the weather or news, but that's about it. If I had the space, I would just go with a small lcd tv on a pivoting mount.

Perfect for my kitchen. I am able to cook and watch my favorite shows and movies. The cable box is in the cabinet above the tv.

The TV is great. The DVD didn't work on the first unit after mounting (door wouldn't open on it's own and it would not eject the disc that was inserted). We returned it and received a replacement very rapidly. The DVD was working OK on the 2nd unit until we mounted it under the counter, then again (as with the first unit) the DVD door would not open on its own and we could not eject the disc after putting one in. The disc is still in the back of the unit, never could get it out. It must be a design flaw that causes the DVD player to be unusable after mounting. I have just given up on it and have decided I just won't be able to use the DVD mode. Otherwise I love it. Great picture and sound. The radio works well also.

The Coby under counter TV that I got for my kitchen has a major draw back. The LCD display is best viewed from a stationary position so the viewer is directly in front of the screen. I got this so while moving around the kitchen I could look at the TV. I am never stationary while working in the kitchen. The image when viewed at an angle is poor.
