I bought this same product from Amazon about a year ago for less than half the price that I see it for here. But beyond that it was a very handy little tool, decently accurate and easy to carry around since it is small enough to fit in your pocket.

I bought this as a Gold Box item for about $20, and it's definitely worth that. It has no laser pointer, and only a one-to-one spot ratio, so it's far from the best -- but you'll find many uses for it.

How cold is the air coming from your home's or car's AC vents? Is that baby bottle you just microwaved too hot? I'm looking forward to checking the temperature of my walls and windows in the winter. And I can finally determine the accuracy of the temperature setting on my electric frypans and the like. (Its maximum reading is 425 degrees F, which makes it useful for many if not all cooking surfaces.)

I got this for my ghost haunting though I have not use it as yet for that. My Husben has use it for checking outside temp and he likes it as do I.
The cost could be less.
But not bad item.

It works, and that's all I could ask for. I used to get an idea about tire temps when doing any of my driving events. I know its that the right tool for this job, but I just need to get an idea of what the temps are to balance air pressure. For the money, it's a good deal.

This product is amazingly accurate, and small. It's not as fancy as the picture shows, but that has nothing to do with how well it works. It's very easy to use; hold the button down for a "real-time reading"; press the very small button below it and it changes from F to C; point it at the object you want a temp from, and VIOLA! Great deal for price; my shipment came late in the afternoon from UPS, exactly when I expected it to arrive, so that was nice! Overall, 4 our 5 stars and I'm very happy with the product and shipper!
