Because I am insane, I decided to break down the actual costs of the paper towels that Amazon.com offers. It is hard to tell because of varying roll lengths, sheet sizes, and case quantities. In the end, I found them cheaper elsewhere, but if you are an Amazon loyalist and/ore like Subscribe & Save, you may be tempted to order them anyway. [Subscribe & Save discount shown in brackets.] Cheapest per foot (most accurate measure of value): SCOTT LONG ROLLS (case of 16) = $2.54 /100ft [$2.16 /100ft] Cheapest per sheet with "regular" size (10"-11") sheets: SCOTT LONG ROLLS (case of 16) = $2.32 /100 11" sheets [$1.98 /100 11" sheets] Cheapest per sheet (mainly because sheets are smaller/half size): SEVENTH GENERATION (case of 30) = $1.32 /100 5.4"sheets [$1.12 /100 5.4" sheets] All, with analyses, below--- GREEN FOREST (case of 30) = $40.85 [$34.72 with Subscribe & Save] 65 sheets/roll (8.5") x 30 rolls = 1950 sheets = $2.10 /100 sheets [$1.78 /100 sheets] 65 sheets/roll (8.5") x 30 rolls = 1430ft = $2.85 /100ft [$2.43 /100ft] SEVENTH GENERATION (case of 30) = $44.49 [$37.82 with Subscribe & Save] 112 sheets/roll (5.4") x 30 rolls = 3360 sheets = $1.32 /100 sheets [$1.12 /100 sheets] 112 sheets/roll (5.4") x 30 rolls = 1512ft = $2.94 /100ft [$2.50 /100ft] KLEENEX VIVA (case of 32) = $47.31 [Subscribe & Save not available] ? sheets/roll (assuming 10" sheets, there are 52) x 32 rolls = 1664 sheets = $2.48 /100 sheets 519.7"/roll x 30 rolls = 1385.9ft = $3.41 /100ft SCOTT LONG ROLLS (case of 16) = $55.96 [$47.57 with Subscribe & Save] 150 sheets/roll (11") x 16 rolls = 2400 sheets = $2.32 /100 sheets [$1.98 /100 sheets] 150 sheets/roll (11") x 16 rolls = 2200ft = $2.54 /100ft [$2.16 /100ft] SCOTT MEGA CHOOSE-A-SIZE (case of 24) = $48.34 [$41.09 with Subscribe & Save] 102 sheets/roll (7.3") x 24 rolls = 2448 sheets = $1.98 /100 sheets [$1.67 /100 sheets] 102 sheets/roll (7.3") x 24 rolls = 1489.2ft = $3.25 /100ft [$2.76 /100ft] BOUNTY EXTRA SOFT BIG ROLLS (case of 24) = $53.46 [Subscribe & Save not available] 64 sheets/roll (10.4") x 24 rolls = 1536 sheets = $3.48 /100 sheets 64 sheets/roll (10.4") x 24 rolls = 1331.2ft = $4.02 /100ft BOUNTY REGULAR (case of 30) = $43.54 [Subscribe & Save not available] 52 sheets/roll (11") x 30 rolls = 1560 sheets = $2.79 /100 sheets 52 sheets/roll (11") x 30 rolls = 1430ft = $3.05 /100ft

Totally baffling why the product description doesn't give you the information you most want: This is 32 rolls of Viva paper towels, each of which contains 50 one-ply sheets of 11 x 10.4 inches (27.9 x 26.4 centimeters). Each roll is 39.7 square feet (3.6 meters squared). The 8 rolls per package totals 317.6 square feet (28.8 meters squared). With the current price, there are about 3 cents per sheet. Seventh Generation is available on Amazon for less than half that (1.3 cents per sheet). My most recent shipment said that Viva supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I have used Kleenex Viva Towels for many years now, and each time I have to purchase another brand (for whatever reason) I find myself so very frustrated with it! Viva towels are the most absorbent, and toughest I have ever used, bar none. I am also an oil painting artist, and find them the softest, and most absorbent when I clean my paint brushes on them. They always contain the paint, never bleed through, and are very kind to my brushes. They are the most like a soft, absorbent cloth that I have found. I INSIST on Viva towels, and no other, as part of my painting tools.

This week i had a strip of two Viva paper towels accidentally go through an extended Regular cycle + Prewash in my front loading washing machine that is so strong that it has shredded lightweight textiles. The paper towel strip came out of the pocket and rode the cycle out on its own. It made it, intact. In fact, i used them later in the day to scrub about 26' of kitchen counter and finally recycled them after i scrubbed the sinks. They really don't wear through or give out in the middle of a job. Sanitation decrees that one must eventually must recycle Viva paper towels. but, now i know i can actually put them through the laundry! :-) i don't buy others any more. these do it all and despite a greater upfront cost, we save money using Viva . . . . .

These are OK paper towels, but they are too linty and they smell funny. I prefer ordinary, residential paper towels which feel more substantial and have a more course texture. The kleenex-soft texture preferred good for face tissues and toilet paper, but not for paper towels which are generally used to dry hands or as lunch napkins.
