my dad used to watch this along with rockford files and wild west and i thought that each episode from all 3 was never ending. all 3 were not of any interest to an 8 yr old girl. the only time kung fu was interesting was when he did the flashbacks to when he was young.

It was a bit confusing at times. I couldn't always tell if it was a scene in the now or something they were going back in the past to make a point with. Must be me. I loved the "never to hurt anyone" sort of Kung Fu he used... mostly making his opponents look like jack *s.

This rating might not count for much because I've only seen a couple episodes, which were pretty good but nothing great.

I vaguely remember watching this show as a kid.I expected it to be so-so at best. However after getting the first set of the show on DVD,I think it was easily the best show in the 70's.The plots were not easy to figure and the storylines were also rich in lessons on character without to much eastern religion. My favorite Cain lines. My name is Caine and I do not wish to fight you. Also when he meets his brother he violates one of his Buddhist taboos and apologizes to the horse for riding it.Probably an ad lib.I am shocked at the crap on this list above it.

This was a good show, until the last season. When he descoved that there was a brother.

One of my favorite shows from my childhood, I was so proud of my Kung-Fu lunchbox. Peace, love and kick ass.

This show rocked. Always had a message and I thought Carradine did a decent job.

The greatest-next to a Bruce Lee movie.

A real boring show with a grumpy never smiling man kicking a few people around towards the end of the episode, terrible.......

Introduced a generation to martial arts and Eastern Spirituality. It was also pretty good entertainment.Much quirkier in many ways than many shows today.

Good action mixed in with the western theme.

I didn't know it back then, but it turns out David Carradine is not a great actor. But I like the messages the stories tell.

When you can snatch the pebble from my hand, you will be a man grasshopper. I loved that show! David Carradine had me wanting to know Kwai Chang Caine really well! I always found it very interesting and thought provoking.

I despised this show. This is one show my husband (then boyfriend) and I disagreed on. He loved this one and Kung Fu theater. I'd roll my eyes and leave the room when he turned it on.

A groundbreaking show capitalizing on the antiheroes of the day on the big screen.Carradine bacame somewhat believable as half-Chinese after a few viewings.A great blend of martial arts and the old west.

I always thought this show was pretty good, but liked The Legend Continues better.

"I am Caine. I will help you" I liked this show.

Very effective in its first two seasons, the quality of the writing slipped suddenly and badly in its third. Still, the best moments of this show make it an enduring pop-culture legend after all these years. Oops, did I say "legend?" Bad choice of words. Not even goin' there....

Overall the concept was great but I lost interest when he became jaded and pissed off in the later season. The philosophy is fantastic and I loved the way he kicked those cow-pokes around! Also a refreshing look at the western genre.

It just proves that you can't make a Tv show about martial arts. It was so cheesy and fake looking, and it was so dark and dull, I just can't watch it.
