 | Spike65 (13) 07/17/2008 | A monster song from the Beatles. Not as tidy or compact as is typical of them at that time it showcased George "unleashed" and probably coincided with his spiritual development at the time.

 | bassman44113 (17) 09/23/2006 | A true classic. It will stand the test of time. My band plays this song from time to time and folks still love it. Its one of my younger nephews favorite songs that we play, and thats saying something. Hes usually into Marilyn Mason, Tool and stuff like that.

 | drimzef (6) 09/23/2006 | I love the piano intro, and the lack of piano in the rest of the song. One of those little details that make Beatles songs interesting to listen to time after time. The only shame I think is that George Harrison attracted Clapton to do the solo, while Harrison himself, and McCartney were both very capable solists. I prefer the both of them to Clapton. Besides that this song is a 5 star song, it's got everything a great song needs.

 | oscargamblesfro (81) 05/05/2006 | IMO, probably the single greatest of all Harrison Beatles tunes, not that he didn't have other masterpieces. Guest Eric Clapton's solo is astonishing, the lyrics are impressive, George's vocal is heartfelt and piercing, and what sometimes gets overlooked is McCartney's awesome bass work, some of his greatest Beatles work on that instrument is found here, and he really holds down the bottom end superbly. A truly beautiful, immortal classic.

 | Pigboy (0) 09/05/2005 | I was listening to this track (accoustic version)on the Beatles anthology album the other day. I might be out of my tree but it reminded me of the old Doris Day tune Tammy. Am i hearing things where things don't exist?
Perhaps some musicologist could enlighten me?!
Comments gladly received.

 | emj5687 (4) 03/10/2005 | I love this song. I think it is a little different than the usual beatles sound, in a good, interesting way. Clapton is pretty great with this one.

 | CapAnson (1) 09/20/2004 | Yes it's great.. but for some reason I never liked it as much as some others, even by George.

 | scarletfeather (54) 10/19/2003 | George proved he could rock. Eric Clapton's guitar work was masterful, but I also enjoyed the word-play in the song--subverted, alerted, perverted, etc.

 | groucho1 (0) 08/21/2003 | George's 'coming of age' effort. The world now was aware of three song-writing geniuses in one band. Probably the highlight of the White Album.
