09/15/2006 | I don't really listen to this one much, as I've been hearing it since I was about 13, but this is simply an awesome rock n' roll song, and was, surprisingly enough, actually their only top 10 hit in the U.S. Sinister riffs and lyrics, and just a brilliant song. I've read that Paul McCartney has said that he recalled reading that The Who had made the most dirty raw sounding rock and roll tune, inspiring "Helter Skelter" and I'm guessing it was this one which inspired him. Although I've heard it a million times and don't put it on much, I have to go by original rating, and it gets an A +.
