09/15/2006 | One of my favourite songs of all time. Its uncharacterisitic Guthrie lyric, much more poetic than much of his work which is very narrative I find. The simple three cord tune that Jeff Tweedy and Jay Bennett added floats along and lets the bed of California Stars take you off to your dreams.

05/19/2003 | Very good song. Wilco did a great job with Guthrie's lyrics. But they're simple, and they didn't afford Wilco much room to do anything really great or complex. It's a very, very beautiful song, but much of Wilco's own work towers over this.
