05/22/2003 | This is one of YHF's gems, its artistry paling only in comparison to "Poor Places." A great song. "Ashes" actually earns extra points for being especially listenable: A non-Wilco fan, or even a schmoe with a simple taste for basic pop, would probably find this appealing. But that doesn't detract from the fact that it is also high, high-quality stuff.
