07/18/2008 | lovewing: I had gone to church for most of my life. I'm a P.K. = Pastor's Kid. I've also been a pastors wife. Now I have two children of my own. Just had an Eagle Scout Ceremony for my son. All of this means nothing to God but my relationship with Him. This is what the program means to me. I am only somebody because of who He is.
Does anyone that listens to the program live near Lebanon, PA
Would love to have fellowship!
I do use the Strongs Concordance, etc. to help me understand what the Word of God is truly saying. Studying the Bible is one of my favorite things to do. This is why I enjoy listening to the program.

07/03/2008 |  I am glad that Arnold Murray gets so many people interested in the Bible but many of his teachings are not in the Bible. First of all... the Bible teaches that Death came into the world because of Adams sin. But Arnold Murray teaches that all the dinosaurs died in the previous earth age (before Adam sinned). He teaches that the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil is actually Satan. That when God says not to eat of the tree he really is saying "don't have sex with him". So if you take that and apply it to the whole chapter what you get is God setting up a giant orgy saying you can have sex with all these trees in the garden but not with that guy in the middle. Or else he means trees like the Bible says and there is nothing about sex with Satan or Kenites in the Bible. AM teaches that God made the races on the sixth day and Adam and Eve on the 8th day. The bible says God finished all creation and rested on the 7th. If there were other women and men when Adam searched for a helper he would have found one. If there were other men and women the Bible would not say that Eve is the mother of all living. The Bible also says that God choose to make all the nations of one blood. There are many many other ridiculos teachings that I just can not get into.

06/26/2008 | I have watched ministers, priests, pasttor's etc.. ,however, I never really learned anything about the BIBLE until I woke up at 5 M one morning ,and found Arnold Murray. Anyone who says negative things about him OBVIOUSLY has not watched his program for a length of time or they would realize how wonderful, and knowlegable he is. God Bless Him !

06/17/2008 |  Where do you rate forums around here? The forums that claim to follow the teachings of SC, leave a lot to be desired. The operative word here is " claim". PM has said more then once that one should not trust all the " experts " in chatrooms ( and no doubt, forums ) They have not read in the New Testament that God is not a respecter of persons, have they? They have little cliques, are paranoid, thus eliminating honest questions and new people ( always thinking new people are people with multiple IDs ) focus on news events and prophesy without sheding much light. ( a great deal of heat but little light; mostly speculation ) It seems that their " love " is most often " tough love" when God clearly says that he desires mercy not burnt offerings. Apostle Paul say charity/love is the greatest, and covers a multitude of sins. Always trust Christ Jesus. Reading a prayer request from a " regular ", she was complaining about all her troubles and another answered that it was tough being one of the elect. Think about what you write, regulars. Are you really a christian or a play actor? And the moderators, most are power crazy, puffed up within themselves. I fear you are driving away many instead of leading them to God. or is your aim to make a name for yourself and the heck with anyone else? As for SC and PM, he has said more then once that his aim is to drive people into the Bible to check out whether he is on target; accurate in the word of God or not.That's what I'm doing, reading thru the Companion Bible, instead of in chat rooms and forums. If one is a " regular " on a forum, do thy have to pray and study the word of God.??? Very sad, they delude themselves.

05/30/2008 | I have seen so many outright lies about Arnold Murray. I don't see how anyone who watches him can think he is a cult figure. He does not send pledge cards or letters asking for money and he doesn't pass the plate on air either. He just teaches the Bible verse by verse which points to Jesus Christ as Saviour. Some of these critics just repeat false claims which is most un-christian.

05/10/2008 | I commented on Les Feldick today, and put his in the same class as J Vernon McGee , (ttb.org), Bob George (realanswers.net) and I would also have to put Pastor Murray here also, at least with respect to the no-nonsense "rubber meets the road " teaching style.
Some things Pastor Murray says are waaaay out there, ie rib in Adam's rib meaning DNA, Elijah being carried out by a UFO, as well as his insistence on there being three seperate earth ages... Still, I love his Q & A segments and watch him often.
Give Jesus a Chance, He gave you His All!

The Word of God is forever growing pregnant. I love the way Arnold teaches. God couldn't have picked a better man to do the job. Praise God - The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, as we are so lucky to know truth in such desperate and trying times. May God Bless America and keep us safe and sound until the end of the age. I believe he is a true man of God and he has helped me understand difficult passages and answered questions that few other ministers could. God Bless and strengthen him. If you have a problem with his interpretation it may be that you identify with it and need to go to God in prayer.

how can you say he is money hungry? when seniors write to him saying their pastors at their churches tell them they must give a tithe to be in good with the lord and Pastor murray will strait up tell them if you have to choose between food and medicine to stay alive and giving tithe to the Lord then you keep your money God will understand.he mentions at the end of his broadcast if we have helped you then please help us keep coming to you. that is very simple and it even has a condition on it, if they didnt help you dont help them again very simple. that doesnt sound like a person who is soley in it for the money now does it. . why doesnt he take a salary from the church then if he is in it for the money? why does he charge so cheaply for his materials like cds and tapes. thats right cause he only charges for how much it cost to make them and he doesnt ask for shipping and handling either? boy doesnt that sound like he is actually losing money cause he pays for s and h. why is it that his church is a old skating rink that he converted into a church? why doesnt he have a big fancy church to show off with. oh thats right he doesnt care about what mans says! none of us should! he puts all of that money into broadcasting to the whole world to save more souls. he is very addiment about Jesus's teaching to the deciples telling them not to take a beggers bag. when what you teach aligns with Gods word then God will bless them and their ministry. if what murray teaches offends you we do not care! as long as it aligns with Gods word then pastor murray is right in his teachings. even jesus what critized by so called teachers of God. im not comparing murray to jesus at all but Jesus spoke truth about God and murray speaks truth about Jesus,God,Holy Spirit then he is right. God is great and thats all that matters is that his word gets out there and is taught right who cares if people critize the truth bringers God bless the Shepherds Chapel and bring on the critizers we can handle it.

Without scales on your eyes you can see what the Bible teaches about "knowledge"! The lust for knowledge is the begining of all sin! You people are not spiritual at all, a half-wit descerning mind can see where your faith truly lies and who you put glory in. Your testimony is of Arnold Murray - above God! The devil himself is transformed into a minister of light, be not decieved! If a third of the host of heaven, while in God's Glorious presence was decieved by Lucifer ...then you should know it is nothing for us to be decieved, Jesus is the only one to guard you from that, not Murray!

I love how so many people say "he's wrong" but never give examples and then show what's right. If you are a Christian you want to inform not just run off at the mouth...
Pastor Murray only works for people that listen to everything that is said and not to bits and pieces. maybe this is a bad habit a lot of so called Christians have because they only look to use Gods word to support their ignorance and other issues.
Second pastor Murray always says don't take his word for it read it yourself, He also always says if he is sharing an opinion so it's clear and is open to correction if it is biblical. someone's not listening...
Also, he doesn't have to confront his "critics" he answer questions to the best of his ability and if someone only has intentions to argue it is a waste of a true Christians time because people out here really need help, not people sowing discord among the church. Christ was the son of God, his only and he defend the truth so that his servant only have to learn it and spread it, not waste time.
plus, the website has a long letter to his critics, if you can't even see that....
Also, to those who say he does ask for tithes, you know when I first started watching him I wondered since he talks against money can I tithe or give offerings and the message at the end of the program let me know yes I can. I really feel pressured (NOT) when someone quickly mentions that I can tithe to a church rather than spending the majority of the time talking about money like it is their god...
I have seen people like you all before and may have almost been that way, you need to come to God's word with an open mind and heart and stop acting like you Know everything so you can learn, otherwise you make yourself useless to the Father.
Moreover, others that study the Greek and Hebrew, let's see how many of them beg for money to support THEIR church and use "scripture" to bully naive followers into giving.
Also, milk = a new Christian being given bits of truth, not to be overloaded. Meat = the full word of God. Maybe you all have low mental energy
You must be starving...eat something please! :(
learning GOD's word is the thing that changes lives, most pastor teach a warped self-serving version, which isn't God's word. I say if he's so bad why doe4s time with him help people get up on their own spiritual two feet and start getting interested in God's word? God created all the fleshes and said it was good but he didn't ordain every preacher and as many can see it is BAD.
Go pastor Murray!!! and anyone who makes themselves that useful to our Father and does things more like the apostles, uses God's WISDOM to get his own money to live off and work with God's children to keep the word coming out.
LISTEN good and do some work for yourselves, see if Arnold's "false" teaching really messes up your life, it won't.

If GODS word offends some people then to those that it offends it should. Arnold Murray is one of the best teachers hands down.

I can discuss the bible in great detail with others, something I was unable to do from sitting in a regular church for years! I have researched the claims against him and have kept them in the back of my mind as I listen to him. I have never found anything that is posted out there that is negative to be true. He's awesome!

That is, to translate the original meaning of the texts using a King James Bible (original English-based version), and a Concordance (and possibly a Lexicon), to understand the most accurate meanings of any passages you are interested in.
Another priority is to read the Bible through, not just a verse here and a verse there, and to pay attention to the context behind any select passages, to understand the full meaning of them.

He goes through the Bible verse by verse, making the Bible very easy to understand. I thank God for a blessed teacher like Pastor Murray. He tells it like it is. He is not afraid to tell the truth as it is written in God's letter to us. The Shepherd's Chapel is my church. Praise God.

01/29/2008 | Sounds as if G-940 is a little quick to throw stones, perhaps you forget "judge not lest ye also be judged!" Appears to be criticism without adequate facts. Have you considered inheritances, or other viable assets held by Pastor Murray, independent of his ministry? He certainly has opened the eyes of my family to scripture we thought we knew for the last fifty plus years. Has a powerful base of books to work from.........We're very thankful for his ministry!

01/12/2008 | Arnold is a nut case, but you do have to respect his nerve. Every once in a while, someone will stump him with a question, and he'll read it on TV anyway. Then, he gives some bonehead answer in a beligerant tone, and misquotes a verse about "milk" and "meat"; apparently unaware that the Holy Spirit will talk to EVERY christian and not just himself. It's very cute, but study the scriptures for yourself. Don't just blindly follow someone who makes you feel like you NEED him to teach you. He just fills the huge holes in his teaching, with his even bigger imagination.

01/10/2008 | I love to listen to Pastor Murray, or Dennis, they help you understand what the verses mean. The only thing I can say is I'm confused onwheather he beleives in speaking in tounges and I don't mean just to translate to someone. I'm taling about when you get filled with the Holy Spirit and start speking in tounges ( I don't think he beleives in that ). If he don't thats one thing that I have to diagree with him on that because I know speaking in tounges is real, they may be some people out there that are fakes, but I know for a fact there are some people that gets filled with the Holy Spirit and starts speaking in tounges, some times there is someone that will translate and sometimes there's not. Anyway I like his method of teaching and there may be times that someone don't think that he is right in what he is saying and others do. Like me I like him and love to listen to him but EVERYONE has there on opinions that how God made us and we all need to just do our very very best to do what is right. I have two statements that I like and I would like to share them. No.1 is: Be a donor and give your heart to God and No.2 is: If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing, but, if you meet JESUS CHRIST and forget him, YOU HAVE LOST EVERYTHING. I hope everyone has a GREAT day. I'll keep you in my prayer.

01/08/2008 | Arnold Murray is a wonderful teacher of the Word of God. No earthly man is perfect which means no man is 100% perfect in all things but Arnold Murray is as near perfect a teacher of God's Word as one can be. I don't see how anyone could possibly go wrong by listening to his teachings on the Bible.
And teach the Bible he does! He teaches verse by verse and chapter by chapter and boy does he ever go deep into the Word. It's not like most "preachers" who read 2-3 verses and go on for an hour about what they did last week while panting and gasping for breath and repeating the same words over and over. Once you listen to Pastor Murray just a few times you soon start to see that he is an intelligent teacher and not someone that has to depend on theatrics to interest people in the Word of God.
It was a wonderful blessing to me and my family when I found Pastor Murray and I thank God for it often. The more I study with Pastor Murray and the Shepherd's Chapel is the more plain the Bible becomes to me and I know I'm a much better and happier person due to that fact.
There seem to be many that do not like Pastor Murray or his way of teaching. I guess he teaches different from what many of the mainstream churches teach. However, I've not seen anyone who has been able to prove any of his teachings wrong. I have also seen many outright lies about Pastor Murray on the internet. I assume Satan must be upset that the true Word of God is being taught and is probably doing all he can to turn people away.
I would recommend that anyone who loves God and wants to know what His Word really says to at least check out Arnold Murray and The Shepherd's Chapel for themselves. If you watch or listen for just a few minutes it will be very plain that this is the real thing and not someone begging for money and trying to get rich in the name of God.

Guess what- HE IS RIGHT on all his points. I tried to prove him wrong as he challenges. But I could NOT. Look into it deeply if you disagree with him. You will be amazed of the wealth of knowledge you will gain. I thank God for THIS Pastor!!

11/27/2007 | I have been listening to Mr.Murray for about five years and know in my heart he teaches very well.I pray that there's more teachers like him in the world so that people have some meat instead of milk.Theres so many pastors that waste there time with begging scams and telethons that draw people away from the word.It's a breath of fresh air to have someone that just teaches the word chapter by chapter and verse by verse.I have grown so much in a solid way since listening to him.But he is a man and not perfect,but he sure is blessed.
We all need to pray for him and that the world is filled with more teachers that teach this way and are truly blessed.

11/06/2007 | It is by the Holy Spirit that God gives unction to flesh man to teach His word. Arnold was chosen by God and now teaches the word of God via the Holy Spirit. Christ has shortened the hour of temptation, Jacobs Trouble to a five month period, which is also known as the time of the locusts, May through September. Jacobs Trouble may not literally happen May through September, but it was revealed to man by God via the Holy Spirit to let him understand that it was shortened to a five month period.

He is against the Jews and says they are followers of satan. He seperates the Kenites as Satan followers. He does not believe in the holy trinity. Instead of slamming Dr.Murray and his students just let them be and thank God that His word is getting taught at all in our country. Mabe you all should look up the Bible verses 1 Thessalonians 9-11 and take em very seriously. If you don't have a Bible than I will quote one verse that says it all,1 Thess.5:21"Test everything; retian what is good". All through the Bible God instructs us that we will get a mix of good and bad teachings from men. Because men are not perfect just inspired, we are to use our discernment provided by the Holy Spirit, and if we don't find something in line with our beliefs or ideals than just leave it and go on. If Dr. murray is such a bad person than I firmly believe that he would/will take himself down as so many other televangelists have ala Swaggart,Baker,Hinn,Popoff, etc. Remember we're all just "men" and Satan is only a fallen angel and is not to be given deity status!!! He (satan) is NOT omnipresent, he does NOT know our thoughts, and his power is limited to only what YHVH will allow. So don't keep using Satan as a scapegoat, he gets way to much credit for the evil that men do on their own.

Guess I should have checked out Garner Ted Armstrong a little bit : ) Turns out there's a lot of controversy over this guy... no idea how true it all is, but there's an awful lot of it. It seems like any man of God has got to lead a clean life or his ministry will fail. After reading a lot of things about his ministry and failings, it's a pretty sad story.

05/23/2007 | I have only been watching Pastor Murray for about a month now, but I'd have to say from what I've seen he IS teaching the Word of God. I've studied the KJV bible quite a bit over the past 57 years and as far as I can tell he is right-on. He has taught me a few new ways of looking at scripture, and I must admit it has helped me tremendously. Keep up the good work Pastor Murray and may God Bless your ministry.

I am grateful to the Holy Spirit of God to have fed my soul with much knowledge by using Arnold and the Shepherds Chapel to deliver it. I hope that if new viewers read these posts, please don't listen to lstewart24 writings. lstweart24 is a pot stirrer and a deciever. I say first listen to the Word of God that Arnold teaches and decide for yourself.

05/16/2007 | My mother listens to this man, and I am very worried about it. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing, he is a false teacher, as described in II Peter chapter 2, READ IT. He is of the antichrist spirit. He seems to have a godliness about him but there is none in him. He twists the Word of God, then he will say that we should be careful and have discernment, and not listen to just anyone. [The devil is so deceptive, he would say that.] I do have the spirit of discernment, that is how I know that he is not of God. He knows the Bible very well, so does Satan. He claims that we don't go straight to hell when we die, see II Peter 2:4 & 9. He told a viewer that the parable Jesus told of the rich man and the beggar, Lazarus, [See Luke 16:-31] referring to Lk. 16:24 where the rich man says he is in agony in this fire. I followed all the references, it led me to Matt. 5:22; Matt. 18:9, Mark 9:43 & 48, and others, these definitely refer to the place of Hell. Murray said he was just a little warm from embarrassment! Ridiculous! Another person asked about Matt. 8:12, where the 'subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth' he doesn't give any real explanation. He said some ridiculous thing about moons and darkness, and that they are just in this darkness until they get back into the word of God. THEY ARE DEAD!! This refers to the separation of believer's from non-believers and the fate of the non-believer! You do not get to read the Bible in hell and decide to change your mind, if you die in sin that is it, no second chances. I know a lot of people want to believe this false theology, it's comforting, I even tried to believe it, but it just does not match up with the Word of God. Just like so much of Mr. Murray's 'teaching' doesn't. He has the nerve to refute the words of Jesus! He flat out lied about what Matt. 4:6 says.
Some poor woman wanted to know about her husband that died 2 years ago, what he was doing, somehow, Murray got off on Rev. 20:5, and said that it says that God's elect will reign with him and will be teaching discipline to the one's that died who were spiritually dead. Rev. 20:5 'The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.'NIV.
You people who follow his teaching need to wake up, study the word of God yourselves, don't let this deceiver lead you down a wrong path for the sake of your eternal soul. SEE: II John v 7; I John 5:18-21; read the whole book of Jude. I remind you Mr. Murray completely distorted the words of the book of Rev. 20:5, please read Rev. 22:18-21.

People like RobbieSDA find false resources, such as the false website that falsely accuses the Shepherd's Chapel. People who do this probably have miserable lives, and you know the old saying, "misery loves company." RobbieSDA says,

Rob, if you listened to the teachings of God's word at the SC for a few years like you quoted, then you would know that Arnold does NOT teach racism at all. He teaches from the Bible that all the races were created on the 6th day and God said it was VERY GOOD! God rested on the 7th, and then on the 8th day, God created Adam & Eve, which Christ came through. How is that racism, Rob? You fabricate nonsense and listen to lying evil spirits from Satan. You do lie as well as your lying resource and you need to repent of this and owe us an apology for wrongful accusation. Where are the resources to the facts of that website you referenced?
