Yes Dear Joyce has to keep demanding money for to keep her golf course maintained, her hubby Dave's penchant for Mercedes Benzs in her hearted garage, her boat, summer place and airplane. Oh you know, all the things that you want to give your hard earned money over for. As far as "finding" any belief system through her I think that you are "funding" a belief system, and she is quite the huckster and snake oil sales person.

. Who knows what "MAN" HAS SET FORTH IN VARIOUS DIATRIBES..a BELIEF SYSTEM. I, FOR ONE DO NOT GIVE AN OUNCE TO CHRISTIAN THEORY, WHAT A BUNCH OF HOOOEY! THERE IS NOT AN OUNCE OF VERITY TO THIS BELIEF SYSTEM!

there is no such thing as "satan, any more than there is a santa"

Many people do not understand that God allows us to have righteous and expects us to so he tells us in Matthew chapter 18 how to go about this type of judgement but not anyoe seemsto want to follow his words anymore as i have tried to use this scripture mant times with others but satanhs the know how to make them back away thinking we are just trouble makers but we are not we just are trying in a loving way to follow his commands he has given to us.As far as 10 percent God never made this command in fact when it was his law it was 23 percent but when JESUS died on that crooshe did away with 10 percent or 23 percent or whtever anyone may still think. He said he only wants us to give from our hearts and doesnt any longer require us to give any certin amouts of money.Plus so my people have been so confused by may preachers of the gospel about still giving this 10 percent we still hear some talk about but in the days of this law it was not just money it was farms animals food etc.Wh is it and im not talking about pastor stanley wheni say tis but why is it a pastor these so called tv one think it is so nessasary t have body gaurds dont thy trust the armor of God and even more so i just came from India trying to help the orphan children and i didnt stay in some nice hotel i stayed with them as they have to live. Some of these tv pastors see the need for body gaurds and not only that sse the need t have a pool etc in there hotel rooms that can cost upwards to 48,000 dollars in one night andi know for a fact one of them does this all the time.Doesnt anyone think that money could be bette spent helping these poor sweet children of our fathers? If anyone is intrested im going back to India again and i can assure you every penny i received the last time and this time will go to these children, every little red cent.I ask for help from many of these wealthy churches al th time for a little help and not one so far has ever responed i wonder why that is.Im jut doing the will of God he has out in my heart to do with my life.We are all suppo to be there for one another to help each othr when e cn and many can and will not why people? Im a disabled ma hve been for 18 years and have been saved for 4 of those years and i have given my life totally over to he will of God for my life and i beg for your help.I do not pocket the money nor am i a non profit orginization that pays themselves great big money and these children get one half of a percent that these people receive while they drive around in there bmws etc som hve rolls royses and as i stated these big expensive hotel room. The problem is not any one i know is willing to tell about it but God has chosen me to say it and i do.Anyone that reads this i want you to know i love you but i serve God before man period. We all have something to share and not any of us should try to put ourselves on some hollywood carpet and some do and people continue to support them.It will not stop until we open our eyes and back away from the chains. You see God hs satan on chains and he can only reach but so far.m not a perfect man but i do my very best.I just cannot stand to watch some fill here pockets using the name of JESUS to do so its wrong as wrong can get and if your one of those please repent.I pray thi letter is taken in love and without hatred in any way im just trying to do the work of my father and help him get the truth to those whom need to hear it.I do want to say i like Pastor Stanley and i believe he is true to the words of God.But may others need our prayers and these children of Gods need our help.God bless you all.Time is running very short and soon i hope it will be all over. One other comment,I often wonder how may christian ask Jesus on a daily basis to please come and take us all home because we just really honestly want to be beside him and with him to love him?Maybe it would speed thing up if we all would because he wants to be loved just like we do.There has been one thing i have always wanted to get started since i became saved and that is for every church and every christian at the same time to go outside look up sing holy holy holy lord God almighty the enite song and then right after that all of us ask him to come back and end this all and to take us home.If anyone could help me get this off the ground please do help me ith this task, mybe Pastor Stanley might want to help me get this done and to reach everyone in order to do it.wouldnt that just bless our father. If your willing to help me in anyway for India and to get this one special day going contact me at www.haroldwillettminitries.com. This is not about me but the love i have for our father in heaven to gloify him not myself. God bless each of you my brothers and my sisters as i do most surley love each of you i doesnt matter what your sins are we all fall short each day and that should not stop us from loving each other.God bless you all,LICJ Harold Willett.

I hear alot of emotional responses when i hear people say how they get so much

out of Joyce Meyer or Paula White or Osteen etc etc. Thats what they depend on

to manipulate you and get that $$$ out of your wallet . What they represent

doesn't even resemble 1st century Christianity. A great you- tube video to watch

to understand whats going on is "marjoe" gortner He was a child evangelist from 50's

who when he grew up gained "a conscience " and in the early 70's had a camera crew

follow him on his last preaching tour before he revealed he never really believed !

The fact that Joyce Meyer still continues to be a popular teacher among evangelicals is more of a testimony to the Church's overall lack of discernment than it is to Meyer's ability to make a genuine impact for the Kingdom of God.

I stopped listening to Joyce Meyer many years ago when I discerned that both her personal lifestyle and her message did not line up with Scriptural truths. By the opulent lifestyle she continues to maintain, it is quite clear to me that she doesn't live by (or even believe in) the biblical principles she teaches to others.

For example, Meyer has been teaching gullible listeners for years that she has been delivered of a low self-esteem, a root of rejection, and a desperate need to meet with people's approval because she has finally 'come to understand who she is in Christ.' And yet, it is quite clear to any discerning individual that Meyer is still uncomfortable with herself, has not accepted herself, and is still enslaved to other people's opinions. How do we know this? The answer is simple: by examining the fruit that comes from her life. After all, this is what Jesus instructed us to do.

Meyer insists on hiding behind a glamorous mask so as to present a more appealing image for others to see. In addition, instead of accepting the face given to her by God, as well as the fact that aging is a natural part of life, she went and invested thousands of dollars in cosmetic surgery. And for what? For the sake of presenting a more appealing image to others. This certainly doesn't sound like a woman who has been 'delivered of a root of rejection' and 'knows who she is in Christ.'

A person who has truly come to understand their identity in Christ will never need to hide behind jewels, sequined outfits (which I've never seen worn twice), or cosmetic surgery, nor will they find the need to continually brag and boast into the cameras about their achievements. This is why Meyer's latest book, APPROVAL ADDICTION, is absolutely preposterous! Meyer has deceived people into thinking that she has been delivered of things which are clearly still strongholds in her life. Her identity is not in Christ, but in the fraudulent image which she continues to hide behind. Despite her profession of 'deliverance', Meyer has yet to discover that a person's true identity is much larger than any that can be fashioned through even the most opulent levels of material consumption.

It is common knowledge among Christian circles that Meyer's ministry has been under investigation due to excessive patterns of material consumption. Her ministry has come under scrutiny by several watchdog agencies who keep their eyes on multimillionaire televangelists. Red flags began to wildly wave when a plethora of mansions, vacation homes, a jet, a fleet of cars, costly antiques, etc., came bleeping across the radar screens of these watchdog agencies.

Whether Meyer acquired these possessions honestly or not is not the issue. Our Lord taught us that a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. He taught us to build treasure in heaven, not here on the earth. The fact that Joyce Meyer has not been able to exercise the fruit of self-control when it comes to excessive material consumption has convinced me that she has yet to understand what it truly means to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God. And yet, she has the audacity to write books instructing others how to live for God.

Everything we love, live for, and long for should be with God in Heaven, seated at His right hand. Jesus alone is to be the only Treasure that we seek and pursue. While we all need food, clothing, and a roof over our heads in order to survive, Meyer has spun completely out of control in regard to these things.

The apostle Paul clearly taught that godliness with contentment is great gain. He reminded us that we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. He then went on to teach that if we have food and clothing, we should be content with that. Meyer (as well as every other multimillionaire television evangelist out there today) does not follow the example of our Lord and His apostles, and continues to bring great reproach to the name of Christ and His true Church because of this.

People need to wake up in the Church and stop supporting people like her. I find the lack of spiritual discernment and the blatant biblical illiteracy on the part of most Christians dismaying and appalling. The reason why the Joyce Meyers of the church world are able to do what they do is because the overwhelming majority of men and women who profess to be in Christ are not studying the Scriptures on their own as they ought.

As one who has been teaching the Word of God for over twenty years now, my counsel to all is to avoid this woman's teachings. In addition to teaching a prosperity gospel that cannot be supported by the Scriptures (and which sounds lame given the fact that 1/2 of the world's population is currently living in dire poverty) Meyer has clearly shown by her consumptive patterns and need to hide behind a glamorous image that she hasn't been delivered of anything and has yet to understand what kingdom living is all about.

I just wanted to say a few things to maybe bring a little bit of
understating to all of these things being said about Joyce Meyer. No doubt this one loves God with all of her heart. Its not easy putting yourself out there for the world to judge you. Yes I used to think Joyce Meyer was indeed a tad gruff and did not enjoy her speaking until I went to one of her conferences. Seeing the ministries that she has started, the homes she has built to bring children and women off of the streets and out of prostitution and teach them the teachings of Christ so that they may intern go out and preach the gospel and win more souls to Christ has made me see the great love she has for God and his people. I have been in many of the same countries she has been to and these people need to hear the message of hope which is Christ. Most of these places are nothing that you can imagine by just sitting in your living room and seeing it on TV. There is a lost and dying world out there that is crying out for a Savior. His name is Jesus and he is LOVE. As for the fact of money and the ministry. Ministry is work and I dare say that Dave and her Joyce work every bit as hard as any person that I know, even harder. I often have wondered how they have the time to do any of it. But they do. We never question a football player for
playing ball and getting paid millions, we never question baseball players, soccer players etc. Actors, or anything but when someone who is trying to serve God and is in the field of leading people to Christ we judge them very harshly. There could be no greater means of work in the work for all these other things will pass away but Jesus will be forever and those who have been saved. So yes I totally think it is ok haveing things as long as those things don't have us. So what is to be said........ that people who do any other kind of job should profit off of there work but when Christians work and give their life to the
ministry that they should be poor. That's kind of crazy. Should not Christians also reap the blessing of there hard work. The Bible says you reap what you sow. God also says give and it will be given back to you shaken pressed down and running over. I praise God almighty who is my tower and refuge and my supplyer. Now of the fact of her being the leader of the ministry she has said many times that Dave is the head and she can not go anywhere unless he gives the ok. He determines the place and everything so who is really in control. She may be in the spot light but he is her leader and her covering. If you read the Bible it talks about a womans covering. If she is under her head which would be Dave then she is doing right. I encourage you to read the Bible and study these things out. Joyce if you do read this girl by some crazy chance I encourage you to keep on keeping on. you are very encouraging to me. And helped many in many ways in my life. God has used you in a mighty way and I know that it is Christ in u because without him we are nothing. But I love you girl and I will be praying for you.

I have to say something about Joyce Meyer. Do you watch her show? She smirks and struts around on stage in her $1,000 dresses, gaudy earrings, and pukey open-toed designer shoes. She bellows at her audience like an Army Sargeant in that deep grating voice of hers, chastising, belittling, and browbeating her audience for doing the very same things that she herself does. And does so as she dramatically blinks her eyes for emphasis ...... blink ..... blink blink, blink .... smirk, blink. It's almost as if her audience members are there because they have a need to be abused ("yes, mother, beat me some more, I deserve it"). She chronically spends a lot of time ranting and raving about her background, and constantly whines about her abuse as a child, and makes big issues out of all of the problems she has or has ever had, while she occassionally blends in a few patrial scriptures to make her demonstrative arrogance and faux theology look like "religion".

She often goes on and on about her timid house-husband Dave with his fleet of very expensive sports cars (that she bought for him). He should be known as "Mr. Joyce Meyer". But he's not stupid, at least he glommed onto her money and keeps a death grip on it too. I'll bet he's perfected all the ways of saying "Yes, dear". She's amazingly egotistical because she starts around half of her sentences with the word "I" as if everything is about her (and in her mind it no doubt is). She goes on and on about "me, me, me" when talking about herself, her life, and her past. Actually, by observational analysis, she does nothing more that use her audience as her own personal form of Gestalt therapy for herself.

And she seems perpetually annoyed too, always about something, and throws it off onto her audience in the attempt to make them "co-annoyed". Then, in the last minute or so of her show, she's sitting down somewhere and facing the camera as she calmly tells everyone how God loves them, then offers something for sale because it will "help" them, such as one of her books. Then she flies home in her million dollar private jet to a multi-million dollar family compound that's so large, elaborate, and luxurious that it would be the envy of J. Paul Getty. All of THAT is Joyce Meyer's "ministry", courtesy of her supporters.

To be she is one of the better teachers out there, her transparency in the way she highlights how God has worked so much bad stuff out of her is one of the main reasons she is so popular b/c many people can relate to the struggles she has gone through.

Her main message is drawing closer to God and let the work of the Holy Spirit sanctify us is really the message we need instead of trying everything in our own strength.

As for her detractors that talk about her money...well, she gives out almost 90% of what they bring in goes back into their and others ministries. I know several small ministries that she supports, I believe they support well over 1000 worldwide ministries. As for some of their luxuries.. the Mercedes, many of that stuff is given to them. They also have their books open and audited and made available on their website.

I know some may knock her teaching but we should be careful in labeling her a false teacher bc that implies she is misleading with an agenda. I know for a fact from people who work for her, with her and know her personally, she has a heart after Gods own heart, is humble, loves Jesus as much as anyone and truly wants Gods will in her own life and in the lives of others.

But remember, we all teach in error, no one is perfect. So you cant take a few things she teaches and throw the baby out with the bathwater. Name me one teacher who does not have error.

She recently confessed on her show that she "asked God to grow her ministry", but He wouldn't until she "started respecting her husband". That's interesting -- being that: 1) ministerial ambition is strictly forbidden and 2) it's a shame for a woman to preach or pray if her head isn't covered (i.e., if she's not submitted to and reverencing her husband). This being the case, her "ministry" has been out-of-order the whole time (and God doesn't show up where there's disorder).

She's doing nothing more than leading captive silly women laden with sins. In addition to preaching decisionism and starting her ministry via a workplace Bible study that people attended out of fear (since she was the boss), Meyer teaches a word-faith gospel that only results in people being accursed.

  praise the lord,

what do you say about these blogs? when you read them you understand different point of views. you sit in the gray area and you take in everything that is being said and then you answer.... I was abused by my family as well as outside my family. when God reintroduced himself to me I was afraid but slowly he made his presence known to me. I remember he lead me to read td jakes books among others and even some Joyce meyer stuff and at that time the words they spoke or wrote really helped me and I praise God for that but God taught me something very important. the differnce between them and him. someone once told me that it is possible to outgrow the ministry you are apart of and at first I thought it was crazy. But you can. once you get spiritually strong enough the seek god on your own the thirst is overwhelming and God will began to reveal things to you that even tv evangelist haven't been awakened to. I have read some of battle field of the  mind and I use to watch joyce on tv a few years ago and her words reached me because of the level I was at in the lord. I was a babe. But I am no longer a babe and when you seek God  with much intensity not just listening to what the pastor says everyday you grow enough to be able to discern whether or not a pastor speaks or preaches from milk level. which is what she does. that is not to disrepect her or put her down because we all seek God at different levels. But we should not allow ourselves to be decieved that a person having a ministry or let alone a title means this person is deep in God. a person can only lead you as far as they themselves have sought. I honor the season that God allowed me to learn from joyce and the other evangelists. i say this because you have to remember This is about God. I have read people defending these people as if they are God. but they are not. they were chosen to bring you only part of the way and some are not really tryimg to lead you to god at all, but you have to seek god for the rest, not get stuck. there is so much that God wants for you to learn and understand. they don't have all the answers and you can't be blinded by them donating things or the size of their ministries. the bible says narrow is the pathway to heaven and only few shall find it.  place emphasis on the word few. Not many will find that narrow path not even ministers. Some believe they are awake when they themselves are spiritually asleep. So seek God with everything you have in you. learn all you can from them and move on to much more deeper things and love one another, encourage one another and by all means wake up.

God bless Joyce Meyer.  I might not agree with her 100% of the time, but she's helped millions come to know Jesus (which is more anyone on this board can say).

The Bible says women shouldn't teach men, and there is a lot of wisdom in that.  It's too bad that people try to twist the Bible to say something contrary instead of understanding the wisdom of the statement.  But regardless, this is something that's between Joyce Meyer and God.  She's a blessing, so just get over it.

The word of God is applicable to all Churches at all times. If any special or speciffic message would be directed to a specific church, it would have been either clearly stated so or it would not be in the Bible. The Bible has no passages for some and not for others. Paul spoke the Word of God, otherwise, it would not be in the Bible. And Paul clearly teaches that women have no business to preach or teach in a congregation where men are present. One thing is to be politically correct and another to be biblically correct. God is indeed no respecter of persons or churches. His Word is applicable to all, equally. And He does not negotiate or compromises His Word, as we do.

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 1 Corinthians 14:24

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1 Timothy 2:11,12

Women are not allowed to preach or teach in the gatherings of the church when adult males are present. That is God's law. Church leaders ignore this divine directive at their peril.

Joyse Meyer is a good speaker and agood writer. She should serve the Losd in the capacity she was enabled by Him, and not usurp the role which does not belong to her.

UPDATE:  The book of Corinthians is actually a letter to a particular church. This church was being disrupted by the women. If a church today is in the exact same position then it applies to them. If they are not then it does not apply.

God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Put all your faith in Jesus and not anyone on RIA including myself, Jesus our Lord will never let you down... For those of you who feel that Joyce Meyer is a false prophet then you must follow your heart, this is what I would do if I felt this. I do not feel that way and before you get upset with me, pray for her and me. My desire is live a good life that is pleasing to the Lord. I do not like when preachers constantly ask for money either. JM has sent me a tape for free and asked for no money. The tape touched my heart. The book of hers that I read touched my heart. Satan is not in the business of drawing people closer to God. I am closer to God now because of JM. I hope you understand where I am coming from. My intent is not to make anyone feel bad because they judge and use discernment (read Philippians 1:9-11). I just choose to pray for an individual and encourage if possible. I am not perfect. I know that even though I am writing this with the utmost sincerity some will reject my words. That is ok, I accept that. We are all human and judge sometimes fairly and sometimes not. God bless you for reading my words and God bless you if you do or do not agree.

I realize Joyce isn't perfect, and is the same as the rest of us in that respect. She has gone through many things in her life to prepare her to help others with the same situations...etc. I've read some opinions here that are filled with jealousy and sarcasm, and it's not at all attractive. Yes, she's made mistakes in her life, BUT WHO HASN'T??? Where is it written that this woman has to be the next thing to the Immaculate Conception to teach people about salvation? She has done many good things to help people in need, but I only see very little mentioned here. A lot dwell too much on her clothes, jewelry, facelift, and other outward things rather than listen to her and read her literature. I have been a partner for 5 years, giving a very modest amount, and don't feel as though I've been funding a fraud. There are frauds in TV Evangelism, that's for sure, but Joyce isn't one of them.

I went to see Joyce yesterday in Phoenix. I am a new Christian and have really enjoyed listening to Joyce and love her "Battlefield of the Mind" devotional. Her ministry has helped me find my way to Christ and for that I am grateful. But, after seeing her, I understand that I have grown away. I am In the Word now and read the Bible daily, am in a bible study and pray to my Lord. The show just felt wrong. The amount of commercialism that was there, the pitching and plugging for money, the hype and drama...it was all too much. I was there for the Word and THREE hours after arrival, she FINALLY came on stage and delivered the a sermon that didn't sound much different than anything I could have listened to on one of her tapes...nothing really new. And what I sought was THE WORD OF GOD. I think I have grown out of Joyce. No offense. I am glad she helped me find Jesus.

Joyce Meyers is such an easy read - its obvious that she was born in a barn - meaning you can take the girl out of the barn but you can't take the 'barn' out of the girl - she has NO POISE ! she's unpolished and rough around the edges even in her sparkling rhinestone encrusted stupid looking chandelier earrings and dresses -  why is this important to notice ? She is NO minister ! When you close your eyes - and think of Joyce Meyers - what do you see ? Do you see Jesus ? NO you see Joyce Meyers and her out of date hairdo and her swagger across the stage and her monotone voice which sounds like a scolding mother and if you listen to her she has NO DEPTH in her teaching ! she's empty - YUK !

1 Timothy 6:5 "...who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain." Actually, read all of 1 Tim. 6 to learn a proper attitude about money. As for the so-called "gospel of prosperity", this verse alone proves it's a big fat lie.
And if you want to give Biblically, give to the poor, the widow and the orphan...see the need, meet the need. DON'T BE DECEIVED!!!!

THE GOSPEL IS NOT FOR PREACHERS OR ANYONE ELSE TO GET RICH FROM.
The bible clearly states this but they just do not care to live this truth and have duped millions to believe such nonesense.
If they want to get rich they should do like others start a business or purchase real estate or whatever is legal and right.

I do believe we should all prosper by trusting God according to His Word. Let God show you how to prosper according to His Word and His Will for your life.

I have watched preachers and even supported ministries like hers over the past 30 years bu not any more. I even know some things about them that would shock you. Most of them have let greed, fame and fortune corrupt them and the message they teach. It is very sad. But on the other hand we allow them to do this to us. Shame on us. If we stop supporting them they would stop.

These so called ministers of the gospel are and have gotten rich off the gospel. People need to study the bible for themselves and stop letting preachers be the last word. I do not think preachers should be poor. I think they should live reasonable lives and stop trying to out do each other and preach the true gospel.

We as christians need to be like the Breans who searched the scriptures daily to see if what Paul was preaching was in fact ture.

If people would stop being lazy and sutdy the bible for themselves they would not be duped as I have been in the past.

Note I said in the past. I study the bible for my self and ask God to reveal His TRUTH not my truth or their truth but His TRUTH.

Again, bottom line you have to study the bible for your self because you are responsible for your life.

She lives outside of St Louis in the lap of luxury.  She brings in millions each month from the sheeple.  The local government had to take them to court because they were not paying their share of fair taxes owed which would go to local schools.  Her family and close friends serve on the ministry board and decide salaries, etc.  She uses donations to fund her extravagant lifestyle.

Her teaching helps some people through rough times but hopefully, they move on and mature.   Its a shame she seems to let money and power go to her head.  Maybe she will take a step back, analyze her own behavior and be an example to other christians and stop chasing after material wealth.

I "discovered Joyce Meyer 3 years ago, and I was skeptical because she was a "TV Evangelist". I was raised in the Baptist church, and was sexually molested by my father between the ages of 11 and 18.
He was a deacon in the church. It happened in the 60's when no one ever talked about incest. I was a Christian, but when I prayed and begged God to make him stop, and the abuse continued, I concluded that I must be a really bad person if God could not rescue me from my "hell". As soon as I moved away from home, I quit going to church and quit reading my Bible. I figured I was doomed to hell, and that what my father did to me was my fault. So for years I ascended into a horrible depression, and searched for answers to the spiritual hunger I experienced. I saw others living for Christ and having joy, but I just couldn't find it for myself.
When my friend told me about Joyce Meyer and how she had been sexually abused by her father for many years, I decided to read her book BEAUTY FOR ASHES.
That book turned my life around. I found my way back to God, and I read many of her books and attended two of her conferences. I was so blessed by her teachings, and I follow her teachings daily.
I still cannot get the courage to attend a church, so her teachings and daily programs are life to me.
For those who criticize her, I don't believe they really know her story and her background. Yes, she enjoys "material success", but she has worked hard for God to overcome her own demons so that she can help others like myself come to God and realize that what happened to me was not my fault, that God loves me, and it is my joy to learn more about God through personal Bible study and other teachings.
She has to have money to run her ministry, and I believe she is a woman called by God to give hope to people like me. I glady support her ministry so that she can reach others who think they are not worth saving. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I have no problem with that. But for me, I thank God daily for her ministry. God bless all of you.

It’s amazing how every single evangelist that has expensive homes, etc is considered to be a scam artist. Just because they have money does not make them a scam artist. The richest institution in the world is the Catholic Church. Churches all across this world are some of the most expensive buildings (more expensive than needed for a gathering place); yet these institutions are not judged by the same standards as an individual. If an individual could put the money given through the ministry to better use, could not the institution do the same? Now, many and most of the institutions (such as the Catholic Church) do many good things with their money. How do we know this? Because it’s boasted. What good things do these individuals do? Not really sure because they don’t boast about it. Yet, we are not supposed to boast about what good deeds we do. They do always give credit to God for what they have and that is right to do. What is comes down to is this, people judge individuals (men and women of God mainly) about what they get and what they got, but never mention or take into consideration to what they do and what they give. People also hold individuals to a different standard to the standard of what they hold institutions to when it comes to money.

I’ve personally never heard these people say you MUST give to their ministries. I’ve heard, “whether you give you your church or another, give”. I’ve even heard things like this, “If you are praying for your house to be paid off, sew a seed and make a house payment for someone else who needs it”. Neither of these is un-scriptural.

On a note: 76% of Americans are in debt of other than home and auto. This means that the majority on here judging these men over the money they have are guilty of greed themselves. The lack of patients for that which you WANT to the extent that you purchase it on loan, then complain about the bill you have in getting that which is NOT NEEDED (boats, TV’s, games, toys, motorcycles, hot rods, larger homes then needed, more expensive cars then needed, etc.). You are willing to loose more of what you don’t have (money) to get things that YOU WANT. Greed is greed and you do not have to have money to have the love of money. The Word says to remove the log from your eye before trying to remove the speck from another.

The Bible was written by Jews, in the eyes of Jews. People interoperate the Bible differently; which is seen by the thousands of denominations across the world. Most denominations were formed from splitting from others due to a disagreement in the meaning of scriptures. Who are you to say your interpretation is perfect? Sometimes their interpretation may be off, but that is why the Bible says for YOU to dig into The Word… YOU are to stay in constant communication with the Father. If you listen and disagree on their translation, keep an open heart and investigate it for yourself and if you still feel they missed it, don’t judge them for it because we ALL miss it!

We are to judge fruits, but if you are one saying that a person is going to Hell then you are trying to take the place of God and you are wrong in doing so. Only God as the right to say who is, or is not going to Hell. Be careful in rating on this site that you are not judging that which we have no authority.

Why are people crucifying others? Are we not supposed to pray for even our enemy and do good to those who do bad to us? Examine your heart and be careful the words you speak.

Pray, and dig – dig – dig into The Word. Don’t just read – STUDY

God Bless

I have to give Joyce a little bit of respect for the person that she is. I recall being in the dumps and contacting her ministry & they really helped me out in sending me free material to read. That was nice. However, this was before I knew the things she taught or has begun teaching. A born-again Jesus? Create your own reality by the words you speak? Words are containers that hold creative power? Um, sorry, but creation is the work of God - alone. We can't create our own reality. We can't speak things into existence. We're not God (or gods for that matter). And a born-again Jesus? Wow. That's simply blasphemous and she better repent of teaching such a thing or she'll stand before God and have to give an account of it. Also, she really needs to separate herself from the TBN crowd. She's a good speaker and she knows how to get points across. She could do very well on her own if she would stop teaching the Word of Faith heresy & start proclaiming the truth. With God, that's possible.

The sciptures tells us we have the right to question who teaches his word.I have listen to live interviews with Joyce Meyers,as i am truely thankfull for the good works she has and still doing around the world, but i have concerns about her statments of where the atonement was made,or that she is no longer a sinner, because she can't be rightous and a sinner at the same time;(you can it's called imputed rightousness).I read a comment in another forum about her spending habits where she purchesed a piece of furniture, a table i belive for her office, for a room that was for looks. The cost was over 30,000 and i wonder if we were in her shoes could we be happy with a $10,000 table and maybe put in another water well with the other $20,000?
Joyce teaches some good common sense, and some need that.We all need to use our own decernment and that we all will stand before Him someday.I belive if we put our efforts into prayer and to help guide the newbies in there process of knowledge, that they should question who teaches his word. That i belive would make Him smile.

I love Joyce and her teaching. If you listen there is so many great truths and nuggets that will challenge you to be a better person, wife, mother, friend, citizen and to get victory over depression, insecurity and other personal struggles through the power of God. She really is an amazing speaker full of God's wisdom and I love the fact that she is blessed financially. Who said Christians need to be poor. She gives so much and her ministry has improved the lives of millions through teaching but also practically through mercy ministries and her involvement in third world countries. You can't argue with people's testimonies!

Joyce Meyer's is FRAUD and PIMP of the False Gospel message PERIOD!!  She is a name it, claim it blab it grab it believer and a staunch supporter and student of the biggest hereticks of God's word, Kenneth Copeland and Hagin!!

She preaches the false doctrine called, the Jesus died spiritually doctirne, meaning the price of our sin was paid in hell where Jesus suffered by the hands of satan for the days and nights!!

This is a core doctrinal blaphemous teaching which preaches about a Jesus who paid the price of sin in hell not the cross!!  People need to quit listening to what sounds good..that is why we have the bible. The senses of humanity are dull and not wired to spiritually discern truth quite the opposite!!

Preachers who are rich from receiving funds through their preaching are simply extortioners and thieves!! To lead is to pay a great price and the first price is the world's good and goods which Joyce Meyers has all the worlds goods and more....

She is a phony baloney PERIOD!!  Not a christian or true leader much less a true follower!!   In the last day's these scoffers of God's truth will grow and the truth will be trampled under just as it is today evidenced by the likes of joyce meyers and her word of faith crowd!!

Years ago I caught Joyce Meyer's program and was impressed. But being a newly committed Christian I wanted to know more of the Word and then try Joyce's reaching (that's right: reaching) again. So I studied for over a year in Bible Study then returned to her program. Although much old and uninformed information exists on the web regarding Joyce Meyer I discovered when I would research what I was reading over-and-over the "stories" negatively reported about her were in-error. For example a local newspaper in her area had to withdraw many, many factual errors and even out-and-out slander..but of course the apologies did not make as good press as the original false information. I have heard Joyce many times state that study of the Word is key to personal growth and relationship with the Lord. I believe people underestimate the journey she undertood to reach the point of ministry she has achieved. Where people get the impression she is "Word-of-Faith" from I cannot fathom. Actually she is very concise in the role of the believer. From her I have learned how our Soul is comprised of our Mind, Will and Emotions, that we are given Free Will, that the choice is ours on how committed we are to following the Word. "God is a gentleman" I have heard her say quite a few times: He does have a plan for you, for each of us BUT if we do not commit to instruction specifically contained in the Word concerning how we should conduct our own Soul (mind, will and emotions) then of course we are not placing ourselves, with our own Free Will, in-line with His instruction. I like her and have a deep affection for her. Negative reviews tell me two things: that the individual had limited exposure to her. And they do not understand the Bible yet.

most of these people that post here(not all)are limited in their education of the bible and definitely make remarks that make me believe that they're also not christians.it seems to me that most of these people making these posts have intentionally serached out this site to lambast joyce meyer, thereby rendering this site useless.it's too bad that there are such sad negative and hurtful people in this world.for example, joyce meyer's comment about the watch(mentioned earlier in someone's post) was not to be taken literally..she was making a comment regarding this woman's spirtual personna.again, most of these posts are by people who have googled this site merely to bash joyce meyers..it's obvious..remember when the disciples condemned another person cause this person taught in the name of jesus, but not with the same exact beliefs?? jesus said rebuke not this man for if he's for me he ain't against me!! anyone wanna argue with me?? let's go!! meyers isn't perfect.i disagree with alot that some ministers preach but that doesn't make them any less called by god! again..you wanna argue with me?? let's go!! by the way..joyce meyers isn't a head of any church...she's an evangelist..btw,there were women who preached the word of god in the bible also and jesus was fully aware of it and wasn't discontent with it obviously. some of you posters nee dto read line per line every scripture in the bible and reason it out by more than just one line ata time.many posters here(like this person saying that women are to keep silent) are taking scripture wayyy out of context when applying it the way he/she did in their post. nobody's perfect, and many posters here are obviously picking apart imperfections of joyce meyers and lambasting her for them.those posters aren't christians..i have a friend that constntly attemptes to disprove evangelists and so on..he's achristian, but all he talks about when he's with ANYONE is NEGATIVE!!//"BIBLE SAYS THIS IS SIN,THAT'S SIN.HE'S WRONG,SHE'S WRONG,THEY'RE WRONG,..etc...some of these posters sound like they're just like that friend of mine, the way they lambast meyers. i don't and won't hang with people that constantly talk that kind of 'religious' ten code ona constant basis.christians that are content within speak more of the beauty and diety of christ not this is wrong and that's wrong..that kind of talk usually consists of nothing but legalism anyway. i don't hang anymore with this friend cause he's not a positive conversationalist at all(even though he believes he is). for you meyers bashers..go play on your myspace site or wherever it is you normally hang.but..oh yeah..uh,oh..i'm letting my imperfection come out.

For those that don't like her, you need to keep your mouth shut!  She is powerful and she can teach the women if you have a problem with her as a man.  Shut your mouths, just rate!  It didn't say judge!  I admonish you who speak against men and women of God.  If you don't like them or what they do, do as they teach you and not as they do, as the Bible says in Matthew!  Being critical will bring you into offfense and then put confusion on you.  Be without offense and keep your hearts right!  Love!

basically she wears the pants in the family) which go's against Gods word that the women is suppost to be quiet , submissive, gentle.

I heard her telling a story about being in a meeting and the audience held up their hands to the Lord - as they are wont to do - and a woman was praying for a financial blessing and when she put up her hands she wore a Timex and when she brought them down, SHE HAD A ROLEX.

What a liar this woman is.

Warning, Danger Ahead!

Joyce Meyer teaches that Jesus did not pay for sin upon the cross, but actually went to the torments of hell and made atonement there.  The following quote is from Joyce Meyer's 1991 booklet on being born again which is worded differently in the 1996-updated edition.

"During that time He entered hell, where you and I deserved to go (legally) because of our sin...He paid the price there.…no plan was too extreme...Jesus paid on the cross and in hell….God rose up from His throne and said to demon powers tormenting the sinless Son of God, “Let Him go.” Then the resurrection power of Almighty God went through hell and filled Jesus...He was resurrected from the dead ¾the first born-again man" (The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make: A Complete And Thorough Understanding Of What It Means To Be Born Again, 1991, pages 35-36, Joyce Meyer)  This quote was found from the Christian Research Institute's article on Joyce Meyer which can be found by "Clicking Here".

In her 1996 edition of "The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make" Joyce Meyer states the same things but with different wording.

"Believe that Jesus did what the Bible says. Believe He is indeed the Son of God, born of a virgin. He took man's sin on the cross. He did not stay dead. He was in the grave three days. During that time, He entered hell, where you and I deserved to go (legally) because of our sin." (Page 41, 1996-Edition)  Notice the similar wording in this quote compared to the other quote.
