It is not a new phenomenon the rejection of those who have the balls to stand for what they believe. John Hagees "theology" is on the spot, with a few, significant exceptions (his distorted view regarding a special dispensation for Israel, his belief in a pre tribulation rapture) but his zeal for the Gospel and his strong stand for the truths of the Bible, are his most significant virtues. I don't agree with everything he preaches, but he never compromises the basic truths and teachings of the Bible. When we manage to discern the truth from what he preaches, he is one of the best preacher of the Gospel I ever saw and listened to.

Mr. Hagee is wrong on so many counts. He doesn't have a clue as to the difference between Israelites, Judahites, Hebrews, Jews and the Israelies of the present day state of Israel. He lumps them all into one catagory and this is false.

Please read Jeremiah 31:31 for starters.

On the "rapture" his is wrong again. There is no secret rapture taught anywhere in scripture. The second coming of Christ will not happen until near the end of the 7 year tribulation.

Since the man is divorced and remarried (which I cannot condemn him for) he does not belong in the pulpit giving others advice on how to keep a family and marriage together.

Really, the man should leave the public ministry and get off the air.

Words that describe this man:

bombastic, proud, egotistical, hypocrite, glutton, sexist, arrogant, self-serving

Notice how these words are exact opposite of the fruit of the Spirit.

Christians beware! "You will know them by their fruit."

Since Jerry Falwell went to that great neo-conservative kibbutz in the sky, this guy is the new chief tub-thumper for eternal war in the Middle East. He preaches the modern heresy of Christian Zionism. This would be fine if it didn't creep into our politics and warp our relationships in the Middle East.

Has he now annointed John McCain as the new Joshua or Gideon?

"Not afraid to preach the truth"

Just because someone isnt afraid at not being "politically correct" doesnt make them right.

A preacher/pastor is human, and yes, they sin like everyone else. But to be forced out of a church because of an affair, and to teach blatant lies about Jesus is NOT something a Pastor should do.

Too many people let their emotions interfere with letting the good Spirit drive our convictions.

God says to "test the spirits" and if some of you want to call that "judging" so be it. I will never "Judge" as only God can, but i will always make "judgements" about people because my spiritual needs demand it.

I have so much admiration for this man. He tells it like it is, doesn't mince words, and even injects a bit of humor.

So he doesn't like full-figured women? What sexist double standards! He looks like he swallowed a whole coopful of fried chickens! Any man who dumped his first family and married a younger sweetie has got no right to holler and scream about holy livin'.

Not going to make it as an evangelist. Maybe as a prophet, only time will tell.

These are pure facts about Pastor Hagee:

1. He was dismissed from the Trinity Church in San Antonio's Windcrest subdivision in 1976 when it was found out he had an affair with his secretary and got her pregnant. And he was a married man with 2 children, who you never hear about now.

2. His home is in The Dominion, just north of San Antonio off I-10, where George Strait and David Robinson also live and his is one of the smaller and more modest homes. You can find out the value of his home by going to www.bcad.org.

3. Not too long before he was dismissed from the Trinity Church, a man he had previously counseled tried to kill him, shot five times point blank, and missed.

Now for my opinion of him, I think the fire and brimstone approach is too old-fashioned and not an effective reaching tool, even for the poor and uneducated. I don't believe that those who are materially poor are cursed of God, either. God said he would supply our needs and He determines our state of wealth. Check out Jesus' credentials. Wasn't exactly wealthy, was he?

Advocates blind devotion to Israel. Raises funds and support for those preparing to rebuild the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. Down plays or fails to mention the fact that the Dome of the Rock, Islam's third most holy site, is presently located on the Temple Mount and would have to be destroyed in order to rebuild the Temple.

I truly believe that John Hagee is an end-time prophet, whose message is to warn the church about the events that are foretold in the book of Revelations. But, that's just my opinion.
I do have to say that I hope God has mercy on those of you that so unrighteously judge John Hagee. Whether he be a man of God or not, it IS NOT your place to judge him. God will judge him when he stands before the throne of judgment.
Christ said in Matthew 7:1, that we should "Judge not, lest ye be judged". This statement is explained to be one against the kind of hypocritical, judgmental attitude that tears others down in order to build oneself up.
Paul also says in I Corinthians 4:4-5, that God is to be our final judge. It is tempting to judge fellow Christians, evaluating whether or not they are true followers of Christ. But, only God knows the heart of a person, and He is the only one that has the right to judge.
Exodus 20:16, tells us that we are not to "bear false witness against our neighbor". This commandment was later talked about by Christ in Matthew 12:36-37. In these verses, Jesus is basically saying, "every idle word that men speak, they will give an account of on the day of judgement. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned".
There are so many scriptures pertaining to the subject of righteous and unrighteous judgement; but, I'm not here to preach. I'm here to repeat the greatest commandment given to us by Jesus Himself. "Love one another as I have loved you".
Let God judge John Hagee in the day of judgement. If he is not a true prophet of God, then the blood of the innocent lost will be on his hands. Don't let your words of judgement cause you to miss the rewards that God has in store for you.

I don't find any Biblical justification for a man to stand up for 45 minutes and preach to a group believers anyway. Paul did it after returning from a 3 years absence, but that is it, what I do find in the first century is shared giving (1Cor:14:26) of spiritual gifts not one professionally trained orator/salesman hogging the spotlight. What everyone knows as clergy actually comes from Rome, which comes from Babylon along with Sunday worship and all the holidays. American Christianity is mostly pagan from start to finnish, and traditions are proudly protected. I have yet to meet a "pastor" who could teach or a teacher who could pastor....something is really wrong. I believe many christians are going to be supprised that most of their clergy will not be in heaven because they acted as an instead of Christ (antichrist) in the congregation.

Fearless, unafraid to preach against sin. Could use an injection of kindness though.

I used to watch his father ,and when John started out under his fathers wing, it was touch and go and through the years .It has been very uplifting to see what a powerful voice he has become , He fears nothing and expresses his viewpoints bluntly and explicitly. He has really touched the people with the gift of getting the Message out to the public about our Saviour.

I listened to Mr. Hagee for a couple of years and enjoyed his teachings most of the time. I learned some things from this man. My solo star is about his attitudes involving respect for women. Time after time he "jokes" about women shopping or being greedy in some way. The last straw was listening to his accusation that women practice witchcraft on their husbands to get fur coats and other big gifts. Heaven help us! Witchcraft? Now I see he's passing the Family Business on to his son, so I guess the circus will continue.

I used to watch him on Cornerstone TV years ago, and while I enjoyed many of his sermons, I never was fully enthrawled with him.

It wasn't until I met him at a service at Musicland in Anaheim, CA a number of years back that I felt that his pompous and self-important attitude became clear. I won't go into the details, but out of all the TV ministers I have ever 'met', he was by far the least likeable in person.

Besides him, he also teaches a number of doctrines I do not believe are Biblical based on prayerful study.

Oh, on an up-note, he does play a mean Saxaphone!

I'd never heard of the guy, but after reading Enkidu's comments I looked him up.

Repellent, fearmongering, greedy and rapacious. Not even enough moral standards to be called an ideologue.
