 | wronghero (0) 01/29/2006 | In its early days, the strip was a breath of fresh air, though it ran somewhat low on steam after a few years. Still, Groening is a phenomenon--like his friend Lynda barry, he nearly always manages to dredge up something new from his capacious bag of childhood memories....

 | Sk8er1272 (0) 04/26/2004 | Classic Steve is messed up. If you like the simpsons you should like life in hell. I find it unbelievabley funny. It has strange and twisted jokes. But if you don't like it Steve don't read it.

 | Enkidu (37) 03/29/2004 | Hilarious and twisted look at modern life, relationships, and psychobabble. We don't have this strip in our local papers, unfortunately, but it's always been pretty darn funny.

 | Classic Steve (0) 05/22/2003 | For Matt Groening, this is terribly disappointing. I suppose maybe a third of the strips show some sign of cleverness; the rest, practically none. I have little love for minimalist comics that involve a copy and paste style, uninteresting visuals, and an over-long slew of word bubbles.
