Never took it, but it sounds fascinating

This subject is very hard. only approximately 19% of students like it, and know it very well. Motion, Time, Speed, and newton laws are the governing concepts in physics. In mechanism, e.g a helicopter cannot lift off, or if it can, with it's rotor blades, axles either next to the rear, or front, or not adjusted in the gravity centre, your helicopter is going to desintergrate and twist around violently, thus cause a fall and death risk. It's need balance.

Update: If you want to be a mechanical engineer, don't lie now though, because you gotta eat this!....learn the laws, make research, do experiment, collect the data, have a free hand-style in cutting edge tech...try anything, but don't rush to the top just yet. Can we build an aural aircrafts in the next decades to protect them from fatal attacks?...an aura is said to be uniquely be with a high sensor, with some animals, and humans....just kidding.

One of my favorites. We got to make catapults in our class as part of our final.

If you're a fan of Quantum Physics, and frankly who isn't, then you have to be positively overjoyed at the prospect of a multiverse. Since the options are infinite, I can imagine a universe where I actually have money, where my schlong is a foot long, where I chastised Magellan for not trying some dopey bottled water, etc. In addition think of the other possibilies: Dorktor Guydi Cullen is schlepping for tips at Lyle's Roadside Eats and Tattoo Parlor instead of annoying vaste hordes of dupes weekly in her show "Foreskin Earth". Ted Kennedy is picked up by a drunken Mary Joe who then drives off a bridge into the Atlantic, manages to free herself and swim to safety, only notifying authorities 8-10 hours later after making damn sure she's sober. TK's left trying to free himself from his icy cold tomb wondering "Why the hell didn't I drive???". John Edwards lives in a trailer park, not next to it. Al Gore is a freakin' toad. Ah, well, actually that's the same no matter universe you're in, including this. I could go on, but I need to get my bat ready for Mikey Moore...

Easily the most interesting school subject out there, the study of matter and energy is really the start of everything. As long as you don't get caught up in the whole "physics is hard," thing, physics is a fairly easy subject at the high school and even college level. You just need to keep your math skills sharp. But it does get pretty hard at the graduate level.

I looked forward to Physics as I was eager to hear more about the fascinating phenomena with which science telecasts had got me acquainted. And what was it then, here in good old Germany: Short introductions of some "laws of nature" that left me fogged, followed by something I could not quite tell from Algebra. Arrrgh!

Nevertheless I could grasp that an introduction to one of the basic sciences is important.

All we did all year was lever problems, which were interesting, but got monotonous. I wanted quantum mechanics.

physics explains all the other sciences and sciences explain the universe

I have many projects that I do at home that relate to what we are talkinga bout in class and I enjoy talking to the teacher about them.

Only fun bit is when you play with the circuitry or go on the computers. Otherwise it's a Spawn O' Satan!

On a practical note, for the average person I would give it a 3 (It's up to you whether you learn it). But I personally liked physics. I was good at the theory and scientific side, because I have a natural interest in how things work and are made up. But funny enough, I didn't do all that well in one physics class. To be good at physics, it depends on three things; 1-You have to be very good at maths eg calculus, algebra, geometry, triganometry. 2-You have to be inventive ie you have to be good at applying the maths. 3-Most importantly, you need a good, patient teacher who is good at explaining things. With me, it depended on my teacher. When I first did it, I had an average teacher therefore I got average marks like B's and C's. But the second time I did physics, I had a stupid teacher. (He was very intelligent, he was just a woeful teacher.) He never explained anything, he'd put formulas on the board and say, 'Do this' without teaching you, he would make you feel stupid when you asked him a question, he was hopeless at explaining anything and funny enough, he focused all of his attention on the intelligent students which was unfair on the rest of us. So with him, I got C's and D's.

I hated Physics with a vengeance! I'm good at math, but it was hard to put it to practical use. There were also a lot of things to memorize. I gave it an okay rating because I somehow managed to pull an A- in it.

I could not get the hang of physics at all. I found it incredibally difficult and confusing. It's an interesting subject if you're great at higher math, but if you're not, you'll probably have a lot of trouble.

The people who are saying that this will be easy if you're good at math don't know what they're talking about. During my junior year of high school, I got A's in Algebra II, but nearly failed Physics. It all seemed like another language to me, and the formulas were complicated and there were so many of them. Maybe it would've been better if I had a more helpful and fair teacher, but I hated this class (as well as chemistry) in high school.

This year I took an Integrated Physics and Chemistry class, and its no coincidence that my grade in the Physics portion of the class was much higher than it is in the Chemistry portion. As Jaws said, if you are good at math and basic algebra, then this should be an easy subject for you. Rarely did I have to study in Physics other than just memorizing the formulas, and I am actually sort of fascinated with the study of physics and learning about its history.

In my high school physics was listed under science courses but everything involved dealt with mathematical functions. The classes were easy. If you're good at math you'll be good at physics. I never had to study or do homework and I still aced the classes because everything the teacher showed us I picked right up on. I find it odd that the math subjects are rated so low on the list. What's wrong with you people. I thought there was inteligent life out there.
