Years ago Harrison Ford and another person suggested to George Lucas that Han Solo should be killed. They told him that Solo should be killed at the end of the Empire Strikes Back or at the beginning of Return Of The Jedi. Thank God that Lucas disagreed. Return Of The Jedi wouldn't have been the same without Han Solo.I'm not giving Han Solo a 1 star rating. I'm giving the suggestions of him being killed a 1 star rating.

This character represents the fate of most Star Wars fans if they talk about their favourite character from the movies on a first date.

He was kinda a macho jerk most of the times.

Episodes IV - VI centred around Luke, but if it wasn't for Ford's character I might have felt like I was watching a space opera chick flick. He was the absolute cool next to Luke's emergence from typical teen male geekhood (can somebody tell these kids today most of them are really geeks who haven't been informed yet? Same as always, though). Han's adventures soften him up pretty quick, and if you want to stay out of an Intergalactic Cell Block, that's a good thing (but they destroy the Empire soon enough after anyways).

I had a Solo toy blaster. He is the model for my jackassery as a Marine. The mouth, the disregard for authority, all were influenced by the work of Han Solo.

A bad ass with a lot of great lines. And he gets Leia.

Hard to believe, isn't it, that Harrison Ford wasn't the first choice for this part? I can't remember who was considered before him, but I am thankful they either weren't available or not interested. I truly don't think the movies would have worked anywhere near as well as they did without him. Easily one of my favorites.

Han Solo is probably one of my all time favourite Star Wars characters. He's witty and sarcastic, handsome and arrogant. He has a lot of awesome lines, and he's funny

Always was and always will be my favorite Star Wars character. So cool, calm and collected. Good looking and funny. Brave and devoted to his friends. He had it all.

Han Solo is one of the greatest played, most feelable charicters ever. A great job on the acting and dirrection.

What young, heterosexual male DIDN'T want to be Han Solo? I think the lack of a Han Solo charecter is what the newer Star Wars movies are missing. The cockiness, the bluntness, and comic relief all in one. Great charecter, and a great actor to play it in Harrison Ford.

Gotta love Han Solo. A man's man who's an adventurer and doesn't take crap from anybody. He knew how to put Lea in her place but she knew he'd take a bullet for her. I'll bet you that one ended in divorce though.

I think that Han Solo's swagger and style was a nice addition to the movies. I, personaly, would've most likly lost interest in the STAR WARS TRILOGY. If it wasn't for that millenium falcon flying, space pirate. I absolutly love Han Solo!

Yes, all these years later, I still want to be Han Solo.

Han Solo is one of my favorite characters from the space saga. You knew he didn't want to save the galaxy; he was just in it for a quick buck, but in the end he shows his hero's true colors and saves the day. Cocky and handsome, his cynical point of view and that sarcastic humor made up some of the best dialogue from the films.

He was so smooth and so cool even in a movie that was so corny. He saved the Stars Wars saga from being in B-Movie Hell.
