Well, Self shook the bridesmaid label with his first national championship- and yes, Memphis lost the game as much as Kansas won it, but give Self credit. . .the Jayhawks won a close one against Davidson and came up big against a tough Memphis team. Self was a good hire for this proud program and it's up to Bill to see how much more he can accoplish.

he's maturing as one of the best coaches in college basketball. he can recruit like nobody's business. his defense is great. his offense is good to great. as time goes on, he'll prove to be a great coach.

3 Elite 8s in 5 years with 3 different teams. Its only a matter of time before he gets a national championship.

I'm an MU fan and he owns us so he is a great coach. He can recruit very well and Kansas will win a title before Carolina and Roy.

at Illinois, took team one round worse each year, from Elite 8, then Sweet 16, then round of 32....isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Took KU, without many seniors, and without Henrick and Collison, and went at least to the 'Elite eight'. Roy Williams left, partly because he thought KU would not be strong this year. Self Must be great.

A fair coach but not at the level of Kansas.

Solid coach. Did well at tournament time at Illinois with their talent. Think what he can do with Kansas's talent. Graves, Simien, Langford, Miles, Padgett, Giddens...all ready to rip it up. I am too, baby.

A class act despite what some Illinios fans might have to say. A man of integrity.
