He influenced Obi-Wan so much, the sadness of the event of losing him never left Obi-Wan. He was a better direct teacher than Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan allowed for more mistakes from his students, revealing yet another bizarre parallel between two sides of the Force. He managed to be cheerful at times, when he found the chance for a humorous event.

He was actually quite the rebel when it came to the council, but he trained Obi-Wan quite well and his death at the hands of Darth Maul kinda sucked.

As far as episodes one through three go, I have to agree with Pbeavr. He was very much the epitome of what you expected from a Jedi master. However, I think Obi-Wan surpassed him in Episodes 4-6.

I love the character which is one of the few times I will say that about any thing in Episode 1. The way he carrys himself and speaks is exactly what you would expect from a Jedi Master.
