I consider all reviews to be TIME SENSITIVE. 25 years ago, I was dancing around to "Cheerio girl" (Material Girl) by Madonna... -------------------2009 07-12---------------------------------- Chris Cornell's singing slays me in each song on this album, no exceptions. Tom Morrello supports Cornell with melodical wizardry on the guitar, and at times, explodes into the spotlight, and I forget for a minute who is Cornell... Tim Commerford artfully amplifies Cornell and Morello, though I admit, I am no technical expert on the bass guitar -- my ears-mind-body simply claim seamless perfection. Brad Wilk creates direction, tugging me into one tempo, as a hypnotist, then blindsides with fireworks that inspire an insane amount of adrenaline. Holy Jesus, I am an atheist, and I'm on Fire! Thank you AudioSlave...though I cannot thank you enough.

This is Audioslave's first and best effort, hands down. Just buy this album and you'll not regret it, especially if you like 90s-era rock with a grunge flavor to it. Chris Cornell has one heck of a set of pipes and Tom Morello, even though I would not say he's the most proficient guitarist, has one of tastiest and spot-on guitar licks, trademarked on all of the tracks. Instead of spending your money on two lattes or beers, just buy this CD and get your own musical high!

The worst thing that can be said about this album is that some tracks don't sore to the incredible heights of some of the others on the album. However, those tracks are still as good as anything else out there really. Don't feel scared to pick up this album.

One of my favorite albums. I've listened to this album nonstop for days and not grown tired of it.

Audioslave is a band less than the sum of its parts. While it's by no means a bad album -Cochise is the keeper here - it doesn't hold up to RATM's debut or Superunknown + Badmotorfinger. I guess it was a lot to ask for expecting something incredible.

Audioslave is one of the few superbands that actually worked, and worked well. Cochise is a great song, but there are sad things happening with the songs on the radio. The good ones are ignored, while the sappy are played.

A good, solid album from Chris Cornell and the very talented Musicians who made up most of Rage Against the Machine.Political,it's not- but packed with great music-yeah,baby!!!If you liked Soundgarden-this will surely satisfy. If you're a fan of Rage-check out how GOOD the Boyz sound with a frontman who can actually SING!

Obviously since i gave it a four it isnt the greatest album of all tymes. but with songs lyke show me how to live, what u r, like a stone, i am the highway, and shadow on the sun i kant help but enjoy the great songs this album has. overall it is a good album but towards the end i didnt lyke how it all died down-way 2 much.

Thoroughly disapointing. I expected this to be a beautiful mesh of two of my favourite 90's bands, instead it was a bland album which lacked passion or soul and felt like 'running through the motions'. I gave it a 3 because it has its moments.
